We had the steak and lobster dinner, hard to go wrong! There’s some new things on the menu. Lobster Mac and cheese was tasty. Raspberry sorbet and lava cake were also good.

As a usual steak fanatic. This is one of my favorite places to enjoy a great steak. However I was displeased on how the porter house for two tasted and was presented. It was 25 dollars more in Hawaii then any other Ruth’s Crisp! The flavor wasn’t there and the taste of the steak was very different. They didn’t display the 500 degree plate on the forks which probably caused the plate to cool at a rapid rate.(Physics nerd). The only thing that saved the night was the good service! Yuki the host was very polite and made us feel more than welcomed.

A phenomenal dinner & experience! From the arrival and seating to our waitress, Melissa, the entire experience was outstanding! We ordered off of the primetime menu, which is a prix-fix type menu served between 5PM and 6PM only, that includes a salad, the main entrée, one side and a dessert! We started off by ordering a couple of appetizers: stuffed mushrooms and escargot(I have not had escargot in like a million years, LOL) — these were amazing! We both ordered: Caesar salad, ribeye steak done medium, and split one side each with mashed potatoes and creamy spinach — the entire meal was extraordinarily, unbelievably out of this world! And for dessert, we both ordered the bread pudding and I had vanilla ice cream on mine! In addition, our amazing waitress, Melissa, brought out a complimentary dessert for us to share: strawberry soufflé — WOW! I would like to sing praises to our amazing waitress, Melissa! She is full of suggestions, gracious and professional all at the same time — a true asset to Ruth’s Chris!

On our last day on the island(before the plane left on the red-eye), we decided we wanted to end the trip with something special. We stopped at the Costco to get the $ 100 worth of gift cards for $ 80. The service was excellent. We are not alcohol drinkers so we were there for the steaks. They have a «prime-time» meal deal. This is a 3 course meal. My wife and mom got the filets. I order off of the meal deal and got a strip steak. All the steaks were cooked to perfection. The baked potatoes were huge. The desserts – bread pudding and chocolate cake – were great. A great meal to end a great trip.

Steaks were perfect, side dishes were nothing special. For the price, it left a lot to be desired.

Every opportunity I can I’ll choose Ruth’s Chris steakhouse! Get a table from 5:30−6 and order from the prime time menu. Three courses for about $ 50! Talk about a deal! I never used to order from it since I loveeeee the lamb, but they changed it and it’s now a prime time option. If you’re looking for steak skip the filet and order the ribeye! Much more juicy and tender. The veal osso bucco comes with five stuffed ravioli with spinach on top. You’ll eat every last bite from that plate and end up using your bread for the leftover sauce!

Ruth Chris does not disappoint. Steak was cooked perfectly and the corn was out this world.

If you’re looking for the high cost of a Merriman’s dinner without the Merriman’s quality this is your spot. My overdressed Stake House Salad tasted like something you could pour out of the bag from Foodland or COSTCO. The bread was a disappointment– don’t waste your calories on it. The sides are what brought my review up to 3 stars. I ordered several sides and did find the corn was really well prepared with a great flavor, and the broccoli was steamed just right and not smothered in butter, so those were a plus! My date ordered the filet and enjoyed it. The service was attentive and friendly. The food quality needs to go up a few notches before I return.

5 star plus service from Stephanie. Wonderfully friendly, and accommodating to our kids. 2 – 3 star food unfortunately as my medium rare steak was severely over cooked. At a diner this is fine. At a steak house this is not excusable. Drinks were solid, tasty. Lava cake could’ve used a bit more molten center All in all really expensive steak house for mediocre food(which is why I have several steak houses I prefer over RC), but the amazing service made up for it and result in a 4 star rating.

Oh good grief, what an excellent place to dine! This is the take your father-in-laws’ family to dinner place. Mortgage the AMC Pacer and have a chunk of beeeeeef here. It doesn’t get any better. Throw in a wine list to die for, excellent service, outstanding appetizers and you will walk away happy. Broke perhaps but this is vacation dining right?

My first time to a Ruth Chris Steak House and I loved it! Service was excellent and I know they were really trying hard when the place got very busy. Our steaks were very tasty as were the side dishes. Salads were lovely especially the blue cheese dressing and so was the Oysters Rockefeller we tried. I highly recommend this place!

It’s now been TWO months and I’ve actually never spoken to the GM who said«he’d make it right». To his credit he’s left a few messages on my cell asking that I call back. Each time I’ve called back he hasn’t been available. He even asked that I leave my address so he could send a gift card. Well, I did that nearly five weeks ago and I’ve stopped waiting at the mailbox. What a mess of a place along with its management. Don’t waste your time or money going here. You’ll more than likely end up disappointed. Head over to Roy’s or KPC at the Hilton. #neveragain The GM here sent me a message asking for my contact info so he could«address» our concerns. Well, it’s been 14 days and still no call or email to «address» our horrible service and food. Amazing people can get away with this type of attitude and lack of service! We’ll never eat at this location again.

Ruth’s Chris at Mauni Lani, Hawaii, USA. We have dined here many times and really enjoy the atmosphere and food. The steaks are really good, signature USDA prime steaks. Very consistent and served on piping hot plates — hard to go past the New York Strip. Sizzling meat accompanied with great sides like their Mac & cheese, Creamed Spinach or their Sweet Potato Casserole with pecan crust. The service was terrific and the bar always appears vibrant. Well worth a visit.

This was my second trip across the island to eat at Ruth’s Chris Steak House and hopefully it won’t be the last. Like the last time I came, the entire experience from start to finish was incredible. Our group was lucky enough to get the same great waiter(Thomas– such an awesome guy!) as the last time we came. Now, I know that the person serving you your food has no real bearing on the food itself, but I’ll be damned if this guy doesn’t just make the entire experience that much better. To start out with this time, I ordered a nice pina collada(yay for my first non-virgin drink I’ve actually gotten to order at a restaurant). As far as I’m concerned, a pina collada is a hard thing to mess up, and this one was no exception. It was great. As for my started dish, I ordered the Louisiana seafood gumbo just like I did the last time I came. I’m all for trying new dishes when I go to restaurants, but this gumbo is just way too amazing to pass up. With what seems to be little shredded up pieces of crab, full little shrimps, and a whole lot of other stuff along with the great authentic gumbo flavor, it’s almost up there with the steaks for me. For my main course this time, I opted for a nice big 16oz ribeye steak, as opposed to the 11oz filet that I got last time. The filet was amazing, but this time I wanted an even bigger cut. Man oh man, did I live to NOT regret that decision. The ribeye… it was just so… I can’t even. The meat absolutely melts in your mouth. It’s meat so tender you almost don’t even need a knife to cut it. I was able to poke lightly at it with my fork, and even then it started to sink in. Any description that I could give of this cut of meat would absolutely not do it any justice. It’s something you have to taste to understand; it really is. Now, to be completely honest, after the delicious gumbo that I ate every bit of, I struggled to finish the big 16oz steak. However, knowing that it would never be as good if I took it home to eat later, I buckled under and finished every last bite of that thing. And, I must say, I’m glad I did. After my stomach had some time to make a little room, it was about time to order dessert. But, before we could even order anything, my brother and I were surprised by our awesome waiter Thomas with these awesome little complimentary strawberry and chocolate desserts; oh, and they were on fire and it was amazing. Of course, after that we got to have actual desserts, for which I ordered a raspberry sorbet. Arriving in a chilled bowl, the scoop of sorbet was a perfect way to cap off that wonderful meal. Now that I think I’ve found my favorite cut of beef that they serve at Ruth’s Chris, I can confidently say, I NEED to come back soon to enjoy it again. This place never disappoints, from the service to the food, it’s truly a 5 star experience. If you can manage it, I strongly urge anyone and everyone to come by Ruth’s Chris to try it for themselves!

Outstanding food, awful service. We’ve eaten at dozens of Ruth’s Chris restaurants over the years and this is by far the worst experience we’ve had from beginning to end. We arrive with a reservation, the attendant greets us, takes our name and walks away with no explanation. Another person comes up and asks if we’ve been helped and we say that we didn’t know. We order our food and drinks and sucked them down, due to being outside in the sun all day. Waitstaff to refill were no where to be found. We finished off our house bread, no refill offered. Our food arrived and we both had empty glasses and our waitress asked if we’d like refills. Yes, our food just arrived and we have nothing to drink, so we waited for over ten minutes for refills, while multiple waitstaff and managers passed us by. Other Ruth’s Chris, every time you take a sip, someone is over your shoulder filling your water glass or scraping your breadcrumbs from the table. Not here. You’d get much more attention and service at Chili’s. The food was outstanding, with the exception of the baked potato, which was small and plain, similar to what you’d get at Wendy’s, but you pay $ 11 for it here. So, we were disappointed, paid our bill and were headed out the door and the hostess looked at us and went back to playing with her cellphone, not even acknowledging us whatsoever. This was our first time ever having a bad experience with a Ruth’s Chris, ever. We won’t be back to this location again for sure.

We totally got duped into eating here. It was our first night at Mauna Lani and we didn’t realize the restaurants within the hotel closed at 8:30! Ruth’s Chris was literally the closest option at that time of night. The prices were outrageous as expected but the quality was not great compared to the Chicago location. We split the poke appetizer(which was excellent) and the t-bone. The t-bone was flavorful but pretty tough. Nothing special for the $ 60+ charged! We had broccoli and fries as sides. Again nothing special, and the broccoli portion was pretty small. Our desserts were pretty good– chocolate lava cake & Kona Mochaccino ice cream pie.

I have been here at least 10 times over the last eight years. You can always count on them getting something wrong. Whether it’s the steak temperature or the inattentive service, there’s always something that isn’t right. What keeps me coming back is, not only the amazing sunset and show that the ownership of the shopping center puts on a couple times a week, but also the fact that whenever they do get it right, it’s a worthwhile experience. The guava margarita is fabulous, and the side dishes are excellent. The Kona Mochaccino ice cream pie is unique to Hawaii, and worth getting every time. Should you be fortunate enough to come when Mikey is serving, ask for him. He will never let you down.
