This place is decent. Like every other restaurant on the Mauna Kea resort, it’s very pricey. That said, you’re relaxing in a restaurant with a gorgeous view. I had the Saimen noodles. This is a very hearty dish with a lot of good flavor. At $ 18, it was pricier than a similar dish in downtown Kona. This is a recommended lunch place if you’re golfing or staying at Mauna Kea.

This trip there were no problems. They improved their service and our waitress was attentive and prompt. Food was delicious. They even accommodated my requests to change a few ingredients on my sandwich. Thumbs up management!

Probably the best fish tacos around! Try out the sweet potato fries as they are very good. Try a Popover before your entrée. Good stuff! Great dining atmosphere for lunch located right next to the iconic Mauna Kea Golf Course. Also visit the Golf Shop or Beach Shop for great Mauna Kea logo merchandise!

Named after Mauna Kea Golf Course’s world famous 3rd hole, Number 3 is adjacent to the clubhouse and retail store. The food is fresh, local, innovative, and always ono(Hawaiian for delicious)! Some of our favorites include the gazpacho, the salads, fish sandwich, monte cristo sandwich, and burgers. Each meal is accompanied by a freshly baked popover. The iced tea is freshly brewed. Mixed with fresh lemonade, it becomes a refreshing«Arnold Palmer» garnished with a sprig of mint. Service is attentive, the setting is lovely, and — after eating here more than two dozen times — the food never fails to please. Number 3 is open for lunch only, from 11 am to 2 pm, and longer hours for drinks.
