Went to Simply Mac to have my iPad2 and MacBook Pro looked at. iPad was running very slowly and laptop would only start in safe mode. The employees were friendly and very helpful. Both are running fine now, even though the laptop battery needs to be replaced and Apple has discontinued them as the laptop is now considered «obsolete» (2007).

I had an amazing experience with Simply Mac — my iPhone 6, which was completely busted, is now back better than new!
However, I had quite a bit of difficulty with them on one issue: my coupon. A friend had recently gotten her phone fixed here & received a 10% off (I think that was the amount?) coupon «for you, a family member, or friend,» which she gave to me. This must have been sent out from a corporate level or something, because nobody in the store knew what it was. They all questioned me, even saying that it was only valid for her to use, even though it said right there that she could give it to anyone. Because of this, I was there on my pick-​up day a good 35 minutes more than I needed to be. They were very kind though, and eventually the whole ordeal was figured out. My phone works great!

Had an amazing experience here. My phone wasn’t working properly so I took it to Simply Mac.
At first they ran a bunch of tests and said my phone was fine, but then after I left the store my phone wouldn’t work. So I called back and they got me a new phone, saved all of my stuff and transferred it all over to the new one. My apps are even in the same place!
The atmosphere is welcoming, and every time someone walks in the door there is a «hi there!» The staff is awesome, they are welcoming and helpful, not condescending like many places I have been before.
I will definitely be going back there with any Apple problems and or purchases.

My phone stopped taking a charge so I brought it to Simply Mac to see if they could help. They said my charging port somehow came in contact with a spark and that it was burnt. The person who I talked to said this is not a fixable issue and I would have to get a new phone and he would be happy to sell me one. I asked if there was any way to just replace the charging port, and he said no, and so did another person who looked like he may have been a manager. They said it is all part of the motherboard.
Luckily, before making any rash decisions, I heard from a coworker about Rapid Repair. I took my phone there and got the charging port changed out the same day. It was only about $ 70 which included $ 25 for same day service. It was well worth it to me to have my phone back in my hands.
Basically Simply Mac lied to me in hopes of selling me a new phone.

This place gets one star because they are advertised as a warranty repair center for Apple products yet do not actually carry the parts needed to fix your devices. To have them order the part and then fix the device requires you to turn your device over to them for the duration of however long it takes for them to order the part and then do the repair. This will be several days. There is no leeway on this so if you actually need to hang on to say your phone because it is your main source of communication, your up the river. If you just need your device repaired this place is definitely not the place to go!
Don’t waste your time.

Lovely space, well informed employees and variety of Apple peripherals. I went to a few places looking for an iPhone case for my mom. I had something specific in mind and this was the only store that had it. It’s modeled after the Apple store so it’s very open, clean and modern.

Broken iPhone screens are inevitable for a lot of people, myself included. Should you drop and break your iPhone screen, what are you to do? Drive to Grand Rapids to the Apple Store and hope you can get into the Genius Bar to get it looked at?
Kalamazoo has needed an Apple Store for a long time but sadly, we don’t have one. Luckily, we’ve just gained a Simply Mac store.
Simply Mac is the closest thing to being in an Apple Store without actually being in an Apple Store. The décor looks strikingly familiar with the exception of the color theme. The employees are extraordinarily friendly and glad to assist you in all things Apple. They accept trade-​ins as well as sell pre-​owned iPhones, iPads, iPods, accessories, and of course, macs. The Simply Mac store also has their own version of an Apple Genius Bar, which is made up of Apple certified technicians to service any Apple device regardless of warranty status which means no more driving to Grand Rapids to get your iPhone, iPod, Mac, or any other apple device looked at and/​or fixed.
If you live in the Kalamazoo area and need your Apple Devices fixed, I would definitely recommend checking out the Simply Mac Store in Portage.
