I cannot tell you how tremendous Deborah was with our very last minute family booking on the beach. I was a little worried not of the calibre of work but style as most pictures were for weddings on her site. Let me tell you, she is an absolute joy, consummate professional, and incredible photographer. After years of trying to take «Christmas beach» pictures ourselves, we are done. Deborah works well with from young to old and handles all challenges well. We just got our pictures back and she captured our memories perfectly!

We couldn’t have been happier with the experience of having Deborah as the photographer for our wedding! As others have said, the photos speak for themselves — they are superb. She manages to capture small intimate moments, wild and happy moments, and people in interesting settings all in a really beautiful way. Our wedding was in Ann Arbor, and we’re so happy with the mix of location shots, formal, and candid shots from the day.
Beyond the photos, her presence was a really fun, calming, and steady one to have on such a hectic day. I appreciated her knowing when to take charge and give direction, and when to step back and capture things as they unfolded. It was a pleasure to have her as part of everything.
The process leading up to the actual event was also great. We were planning our wedding from out of town, and she was always very responsive via email and thorough and thoughtful in her responses. I knew she completely understood all the details for the day and what we were looking for, so there was no stress going into the events. Thank you!

Deborah took photos of my newborn (just 9 days old at the time) and they turned out so beautiful! I couldn’t have asked for better photos! Deborah is very kind and knows just how to snap the perfect picture of your little one!

I felt an immediate connection to Deborah when I first met her to discuss possibly photographing my wedding. She has a great attitude and is very flexible and upbeat about everything, which is a breath of fresh air when planning a wedding! My now-​husband is terrible at taking pictures, so we thought it best to do a dry-​run with engagement shots. The engagement shoot was incredible. Deborah agreed to visit our university campus. The venue brought back tons of memories — and it shows in the photos. For the wedding, I trusted Deborah completely. She followed my directions to a T and took all the shots we wanted, and more. She even caught me sneaking out of the reception right before a very unplanned wardrobe change! I had asked Deborah to take limited group shots at the reception. Unfortunately, my parents were so emotional/​stressed out, they didn’t think about it and didn’t take a group shot with us. Though it clearly wasn’t Deborah’s fault, she arranged an additional shoot at a local park to rectify the situation. She also worked with me to find a suitable vendor to print my wedding photos after all was said and done, in light of some challenges I had on my own. Throughout the entire process, Deborah seemed most preoccupied with our experience and satisfaction, in stark contrast to the other vendors we considered, who seemed only interested in which package levels we were willing to pay through the nose for. We were so pleased with everything she did and have been practically begging our relatives to hire her for whatever photos they need taken. Hopefully, Deborah will be our family photographer for many years to come.

Deborah does beautiful work!!! Early in October, she took pictures of my baby girl. The pictures were so gorgeous. Deborah was so easy to work with and very adaptable. I’ll recommend her to everyone! Thank you!!! The Christmas cards were such a nice touch!!!

Deborah recently took the 9-​month photos for our son, Max. She met us at a park near our house and spent all the time we wanted/​needed getting a lot of amazing photos of our little man. We didn’t feel rushed at at. She interacted with Max in a playful way, crawled around with him and did everything possible to get the best shots. It was an extremely hot morning, but she did not seem phased. We were really impressed with her work, and enjoyed her easy-​going and inviting personality. We are looking forward to working with her for Max’s 1-​year photos and, then, some! I would highly recommend her to take pictures of your little one!

I would give Honey & Light 10 stars if I could. Deborah is wonderful to work with and we couldn’t possibly be happier with her photos! She captured every special moment, beautifully, without being remotely intrusive. She managed to turn real moments into art.
She feels totally available to you (a goodluck charm), professional and responsive. Her presence is calming; she made us feel completely at ease every step of the way, and somehow managed to be everywhere without being detected.
Her photos speak for themselves — they’re breathtaking. She was ready to photograph my husband at the crack of dawn and we had her running around to various sites the morning of the wedding too. She did everything with ease and helped make it the most fun day of our lives.
When we look at the photos we get to relive what it felt like inside each of those moments, which is such a gift. We will cherish them forever and would recommend Deborah and Honey & Light to anyone and everyone looking for an exceptional photographer!
