It’s been a while since I came here for breakfast. The food is still good and the coffee is okay. I love my omelets. I don’t know if it’s a new cook or a different way of cooking omelets, but my omelet was more like dumping all the ingredients in the egg and frying it. The filling wasn’t snugged in between the eggs and it wasn’t fluffy. I was kind of disappointed. I can’t complain though, I ate all of it. Lol. I just wished it was like their original style of cooking omelets. Would’ve been mo betta!

Best breakfast spot on Kauai! So many choices for breakfast along with a daily special. My advice when it’s busy and you come here with someone else is that you try and get a table first and then just send one person to order everything. The egg dishes here are solid. I went for an omelet that had Portuguese sausage in it and it was ono. Eggs benny were solid too — perfectly poached & bomb hollandaise. They brew Kauai-grown coffee and it’s all delicious. Afterwards, hit up the gift shop next door for some legit locally made arts & crafts.

We visit this place several times. Generally it’s good place and reasonable. I took one star off because potatoes which are coming with omelette are quite old and in many salt shakers is mostly rice, so you have to shake them well to get some salt. I would say lunch is better than breakfast, even medium burger was completely well done and dry. I didn’t returned, because I don’t like waste and the meat tasted great! Next time I will come back for another one. We love the patio — terrace. Service is efficient. You order and pay at the bar, than u get number and server brings food at your table.

We took a little drive and went to Kalaheo Café and Coffee Company(to make up for a disappointing brunch the day before), and the food was great. I had a «choose your ingredients» omelet($ 12.75) with turkey, mushroom, provolone, and avocado. It was delicious. The avocado was $ 1.50 extra, but it was such a generous portion that I didn’t feel overcharged. I shared my omelet with my 14-month-old boy, and I think he would have eaten my entire three-egg omelet if I hadn’t wanted some for myself. The music was good; I even heard a Melody Gardot song — hard to beat that. The place had nice art on the walls too. My wife wanted to buy one of the paintings, of a flower. There’s an attached gift shop. It’s nice. We looked for a print of the flower painting, but it was out of stock. The cashier set aside a similar print for us as a consolation prize, in case we can’t get the exact one we wanted. We’ll try to get back before we head home from Kauai, and maybe see whether we can find the print we really wanted.

Delicious coffee. Fast service. Decent prices. Of note, iced coffees come in soda pop cups!

The food was nothing special but I did like what I had. I had the BBQ turkey sandwich on GF bread and a tossed salad. My wife had the Kauai green salad and it was quit small for $ 12.99 but it was good. The major let down was the coffee. I was excited about the bottomless cup of coffee but two of the three types of coffee they had were awful! Worse than folgers. The Kona estate blend was drinkable. I would not make it a point to go back to this place. **This was suppose to post a few years back. Hopefully the coffee has improved or maybe I’m used to the amazing roasters available in the Pacific Northwest.

This place rocks! Here’s the story, the owner was a chef at a very well known and fantastic restaurant until a hurricane wiped out his place. He opened this place and it’s the best. We ate there almost daily — don’t be fooled by the name as it’s not just for breakfast. We had lunch as well as dinner and it was all good. You place your order grab a table and they deliver your food. Healthy and not so healthy options for all. Staff is great saw many of them surfing around town when not working.

We ended up coming here twice. The first time I got the French toast and my husband got the special. Mine was okay, but my husband loved his! Which led us to our second visit. I got the Kahili Breakfast and OHMYHEAVENS — So good. I highly recommend it! It was absolutely delicious. I prefer the hash browns over the potatoes that they offer. I tried a double latte and their coffee — both were great! We also got a sticky bun to go. It was the best sticky bun I’ve ever had. I wish we had sticky buns like that back home, but it’s probably good we don’t — I would get one every week! When it comes to breakfast, this place was as good as it gets. First visit only convinced me of 4 stars, but the second visit earned the 5th star. This place is cute and fast. They also have outdoor seating. It’s a popular place though and the parking lot is small. I’d get here early if you can.

My husband and I came here twice while vacationing in Kauai… it was that good! The server suggested orange juice they had just squeezed for a beverage and it was delicious! My husband ordered the Paniolo Style Breakfast(scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and white toast) and I had The Kahili Breakfast(egg scramble with Portuguese sausage, ham, and green onions) with hashbrowns and cornbread. Everything was super tasty! I’m not sure what they add to the hashbrowns but that was my favorite part! On our second visit, my husband stuck with his order but added the tropical fruit smoothie(yum!) and I tried the French Toast. Oh my… so cinnamon-y and so good! Would definitely recommend it!

Great local breakfast shop past Lawai. Great breakfast options most in $ 6 – 12 range. We had the Kalihi breakfast which was a scramble with Portuguese sausage, ham, onions, tomatoes, green onions topped with cheese. Liked the portions and that the scramble wasn’t over cooked. Had a side buttermilk pancake with bananas. Very fluffy and moist. Really liked the coffee. It’s cafeteria style where you order at the counter and find a table. Staff are extremely friendly and the food comes out quick. True local gem!

ALOHA from island boy, me… woke up like a mess, and i didn’t want to drive far for brunch so i kept it nearby. I am so glad i picked here because this brunch spot really hit the spot! it fulfilled my brunch meal needs and it was so yummy! When i first walked it in, i felt like i was at home, and a comfortable feeling. So below i will explain how this works. There is a menu right by the entrance, You grab the menu then find a seat. After you are done deciding what to order, then you go up to the counter and order, pay. Then you grab a number and bring it back to the table. Someone will bring you your food, so be patient and enjoy the fresh air out on the patio. Next you eat and tip. :) This is a very casual self serve café where you can self serve your own lemon water by the drink bar. I love how no matter how high class or casual each place is but walking in hawaii board shorts, flip flops, a shirt, and sunglasses is priceless and ez, simple, and stress free in fashion and dressing. i had a hard time deciding what to order because all of it look so good! They are vegetarian friendly which is a great recommendation to vegetarians. I didn’t want anything too heavy atm so i stuck with a simple veggie egg scrambled sandwich on a rustic french bread. Then also ordered a kahili 5 meat scrambled for the mum. Veggie scrambled sandwich This is served on a bird nest weave basket, with the sandwich laying on top of the tissue paper. The presentation was great, you can spot the melted cheese, colorful veggies spilling out and fluffy bread. This was a light yummy sandwich for the morning. Not greasy but just the perfect amount and filling, great if paired with coffee and tea. I tasted carrots, olives, bell pepper, mushrooms, onions, and tomato. The price for this was very reasonable which was $ 6.95. For cheese it was additional 85 cents. Kahili Scrambled, hash browns, corn bread This came with 5 kinds of meat, this dish is great for meat lovers. The scrambled was bright light yellow and fluffed. Lots of bits of colorful veggies such as tomatoes, bell pepper, onions, and mushrooms. This was definitely more rich and hearty for the morning. The hash browns was crisp brown on the outside and soft in the inside. The corn bread was actually good! The corn bread wasn’t dry but it was moist. The price for this was around $ 12.95. Price The price for the food is reasonable for the amount of food you get. The taste and quality for the food is definitely worth the price. I like their vegetarian dishes a lot and can’t wait to come back in the near future to try some of their other veggie dishes. Parking /location There is parking lot for this restaurant. Yes it fills up fast so come early if you can. There is parking near the other malls and you would have to do some walking. This is right across from a gas station or auto repair building. Nearby there isn’t much shops to look at but there is kuai kookie near by. Also another place we went to afterwards was the US post office to mail out a post card to a great friend of mines. :P… Mahalo for reading and hope you have a Unilocaltastic day!

Pros 1) Delicious fresh fruit smoothie 2) cinnamon French toast… so delicious! 3) best coffee on Kauai, but not as good as Kona 4) Service 5) Reasonable priced entrees 6) Best breakfast I had all week. Cons 1) difficult to find 2) limited parking… had to park on the street 3) $ 6 smoothie… yikes! A little steep. 4) Seasonal fruit… I would expect some tropical fruit. I got watermelon, Apple, grapes, bananas, and orange. All mainland fruit.

This place has all the potential to be great. Nice vibe, nice space, nice setup, reasonable prices and a great looking menu. Unfortunately, the actual food was disappointing. The fruit smoothie tasted like a frozen pina colado mix instead of fresh fruit. The breakfast burrito had undercooked beans and another sandwich we got was just generally lacking in flavor. Stop by only if you need to, otherwise you can find tastier food elsewhere. The unfortunate kicker was when I was ready to take my coffee to go, they refused to give me a simple cup claiming you can’t take your cup on the road and I’d have to buy another coffee for that. After spending $ 35 on a simple breakfast would expect more.

The food here is good. But the service downgrades it to a three. It’s also very popular. You find your table then order. So we followed directions. I’m on crutches and the guy running out the food ask us to move to another table to fit a larger family at the corner table. Normally this wouldn’t bother me at all but I’m on crutches. The guy wasn’t even thankful. So then we wait. And we wait. And we wait. Then our food comes out all staggered. My Aunty was done with her breakfast sandwich before my kahili breakfast even comes out. Then my mom’s Portuguese sausage wrap. I think this place is just too busy for its size, with not enough workers. It’s literally a cluster$&@!.

It’s been four years and it’s still a great place to eat! We decided to come to Kauai and stayed over in Princeville this time. It’s not a bad area, but I just feel more at home in Poipu, and close to places like this. We had dinner the last time, but since we were on our way to Waimea Canyon, we came for breakfast, which was all I could think of as we drove out here. There is not table service. You choose what you want, order and pay at the counter, take a number and it’s brought out to you. I ordered portguese sausage, brown rice, and eggs, the partner had the same but with bacon. We opted for the corn muffins too. I also had to have the sweetbread french toast, which were served with a big slab o’ butter. Everything came out in a timely manner and was delicious! Last time I was here, I bought some coffee… and I did the same. They have some great beans and I’m not sure if they roast them themselves, but great product. I will always come by at least once whenever I’m on Kauai. It feels like I’m coming home.

Still on EDT, my wife and I stopped here for breakfast shortly after opening on a Friday. We had been awake for several hours at this point and starving. Based upon a NYT article on 36 hours in Kauai, we decided to give this place a shot and were glad we did. I selected their North Shore breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon and a corn muffin. My wife picked the same menu item but with her eggs over medium and Portuguese sausage. My breakfast was hearty and delicious being just what I needed to adjust to my new timezone. The eggs were a perfect consistency while the corn muffin was lightly toasted something new for me. My wife enjoyed hers equally as much and found the her eggs not too runny and the amount of spice in the sausage to be just right. This spot seems to be popular with locals and tourists. The folks working here were super friendly and helpful through the ordering process. They only have a half dozen or so tables outside but plenty more inside. Parking was easy when we arrived but filling up fast as we left. Don’t try to make a left turn out of their parking lot though unless you have and anyone waiting behind you has great patience. We waited several minutes for an opening to dart out.

We had brunch here and it was fantastic. Ambiance: large location, order up front and find your own seat. Big parking lot Food: #Loco Moco Special: delicious, large portion. Meat juicy & fresh, good gravy and corn muffins were perfect. #Coffee– macadamia nut drip was fantastic. Unlimited refills too #Bloody Mary special: $ 5.99 good but nothing to rave about. Service: A++. Attentive and brought out the food quickly. Even offered us ketchup, hot sauce and even soy sauce which I love on my eyes. Would definately come back again if I revisit Kauai.
