My favorite store in Kailua! Love the unique jewelry here. Local artists like Maui Mari, other artists like Chan Luu, etc. Very helpful. Have been there twice this year while visiting family and plan to go back again!

I visited in September and purchased over $ 350 in jewelry. Three of the bracelets each broke within 1 week of wearing them. I’d be out and about and they’d simply drop to the floor having had broken between the beading on the gold wire. At over $ 40 a piece I would have expected them to hold up at least a few months, particularly as they were not subject to any wear and tear. Service was mediocre, I had to ask repeatedly to see pieces and the woman working seemed inattentive to anyone other than one individual whom she was chatting with.

This is a beach themed store and it has some beautiful items. They have curtains, frames, jewelry, shells, and different wall art. We were walking around Kailua Rd looking for a Hawaiian themed frame to put a family picture in from vacation. I was almost instantly turned away when I saw the price of the first frame. It held a 5×7 picture had a blue border and said Hawaii on top. This was over $ 50. I couldn’t believe it. I continued to look for cheaper frames and too see if there was anything I could find. They were some cute wall art with beach them sayings but they were also really expensive. While on the way out my friend was searching in the window display and found a smaller frame. It has two silver fish hanging and a little cute writing on top. It was perfect. It was $ 28 or so. I decided to go into a few more stores and shop around but did not end up finding anything like it. I walked backed in and grabbed the frame and walked right up to the register. The lady who rang me up was very nice and quick. I was in and out the second time. This frame was a vacation buy, meaning if I was back home I probably would not have gotten it, but being so cute and Hawaii I did it.

This store is a great«go to» store when looking for a unique, beach inspired gift(much of it local made) whether it’s for yourself or someone else. The owner and staff are ALWAYS smiling and helpful without being over engaging. I LOVE this store and recommend it highly. It has something for just about everyone. The only downside I can think of is I wish I could buy almost everything I see! Lol

We went in two weeks ago during an hour long wait for a table at Cinnamon’s. Last year my boyfriend found his daughter a nice gift here. We had been there a few minutes, it was just us and the saleswoman, standing right next to my boyfriend. I heard her call out a «hello!» so I echoed it in a friendly tone while I turned around to face her because I had been looking at some merchandise, not her way. But she wasn’t looking at us — a Japanese tourist had just walked in the door and had her full attention. I felt silly and said«Oh you weren’t talking to me!» and laughed. The saleswoman didn’t, though she heard me as clearly as I heard her. She continued to ignore us like we weren’t there while she gave the visitor her full attention. She didn’t even turn to look at us, which turned an awkward moment into plain and obvious rudeness. So we left, no Christmas shopping there! My boyfriend who works in Waimanalo, asian but born and raised on Oahu, has shared the experience with his coworkers.

They have nice things in the shop for sure. I know Kailua rent is high but I do wonder why they have to charge so much though. The service was alright but I must say that it’s a lot better if you fit a certain demographic.

My friend and I found this store more or less by accident, and I found the most unique necklace to take home: Kyote Designs. I found out from India, who waited on us, that each of the stores has something unique about its inventory. Some focus on home goods, and others have more jewelry.

If you’re looking for unique, nature-inspired jewelry, you’ve come to the right place. This store has a fantastic selection! They also carry lots of other items for gift-giving, but you’ll inevitably run into the same problem(sickness? affliction?) that I sometimes have: I want ALLOFIT! It’s all wonderful! Gimme! This merchandise in this boutique is high quality and unique: lots of sterling silver, sea glass, shells and semi-precious gems. Most of the stuff is locally made, too. Some of the prices are on the higher side but I think almost anyone can find something special within their budget at this place.

I love this shop. It’s great for finding gifts unique to the islands. They carry one of a kind works of local jewelry makers, comfy beachy clothing, artwork, kitchen utensils, glassware, frames, bags and more, all in the Island style. It’s a great place for finding something for everyone on your Christmas list.

New to Kailua Town: Sand People beach-themed gift shop. Sand People is a growing, state-wide chain whose stores manage to seem like totally one-of-a-kind boutiques. Thanks to their wide selection of eclectic merchandise from home décor to fashion to artwork, they appeal both to locals and tourists alike. Don’t stop in when you have just a few minutes, because you’ll want to take your time browsing(at least the first time in) to see all the fun, unique items in the store. There are whimsical vintage signs, nautical home fashions, beautiful beach glass jewelry, books, kitchen gadgets, barware, even things for your pet. This upscale store is priced accordingly, so be forewarned, though. Surf on in to Sand People if you’re going to be shopping in Kailua Town, you’ll be glad you did!

Amongst the plethora of beach-themed gift and clothing boutiques in Kailua, this little store stands out for me because it has such a great mix of eclectic finds, it’s like finding yourself in your chicest friend’s house and everything’s up for grabs! Cute and comfy clothing selections(Ella Moss, Hardtail and some other local labels I believe), jewelry made of sea glass, shells, coral and beads from local designers, painted hairbrushes and home décor… oh my! I spent an inordinate amount of time in this small store, there was so much to look at. This is a great one-stop-shop for(almost) everyone on your gift list!
