I went here to try out the pilates machines since I’ve only ever done mat classes. I was glad I got to try the pilates machines since I figured out that some of the moves would never be possible on mat. The session was a gift to me from a friend, so it was a freebie and a chance to see if I like pilates equipment. The location is great. It’s located in the Lanikai neighborhood of Kailua at the beginning of the loop up on the hill. The room is a small studio with 3 – 4 different machines inside. There’s a view of Lanikai and the mokes when you stand up inside the room. I believe all the sessions the instructor provides is only private sessions, since it’s just her running the business and there really isn’t enough room for more than one client. This is great if you want one-on-one attention and instruction, but if you want to go with a few friends, then you’ll probably be better off at one of the larger studios that do machine classes for groups. The woman is very knowledgeable in her pilates education and training. She was discussing all the levels of training and hours one must do to become a truly certified instructor. I think her prices range from around 30 – 35 for private workout sessions. I think her sessions are around 50 – 60 minutes. Check her website to verify. As much as I enjoyed the experience of having a private session on machines, I’m more of the type who prefers group workouts, as I could care less if I have 1-on-1 attention and would rather spend less at the same time. Her prices do seem inexpensive though for private sessions, so I would definitely check her out!
