On Balance Pilates studio is by far the best pilates studio in Kailua due to the friendly staff, home-like atmosphere and great workouts. Lisa is the best teacher Ive ever had and she takes the time to improve your practice with personalized service. My husband and I go to class twice a week and it has helped with flexibility and back/ab strengthening. I highly recommend this studio for all your fitness needs!

I recently won a golf tournament, division championship at Maui Women’s invitational. All those stretches and strength training, TRX at On Balance Studio did help to prepare my body to excel at my favorable sport, golf. My body was relaxed and my confidence level rose. I recommend Palate to all those who love to play golf or any other sport !

Every time I leave On Balance I feel better, in mind, body and spirit! I have worked with 5 different instructors at On Balance and each learns quickly what my limitations are and how I can get around those to feel better. Very supportive, willing to help with my own goals, change things up based on how I feel that day. It’s where I go to start my day, 3 times a week and the only change I would make is to go more often.

This might be biased since I’ve only been to one of their sessions, but I think it’s worth reviewing about. I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews on this place. I’ve been trying to find a pilates studio in Kailua that I like that I can make my regular go-to place. Before I decided to buy a package of sessions from any studio in Kailua, I made a point to do one session from each of the studios in the area. About all of them have a free intro session for first time visitors. Out of all the ones I’ve been to, On Balance was my first and favorite Pilates Studio that I went to try. Basically, here is what On Balance offered that the other studios did not: –They have an entire wall of floor to ceiling windows that lets in lots of natural light and has a view of Kailua.(All the other studios were in a room with no window, or just one or two skylights.) –There is a lot of room in here, with long mirrored walls and Pilates machines. –It’s conveniently located on the second floor above cinnamon’s…what a perfect setup to go get breakfast after your morning session! –The sessions are started on time and end on time also.(Other studios would start 5 – 10 minutes late and even end 5 – 15 minutes early within the same session!!) –You don’t feel rushed through the session — The instructor takes the time to go around to each person and help them improve their pose, breathing technique, etc. — The instructor was super nice and remembers your name.(For example, during poses she would say, «Great job Amy» or «Bring your leg back a little more, Amy»…this makes it feel more personable and like the instructor cares. –Depending what day and time you go, there usually is enough parking since the lot is very big. You might have a tough time getting a noon spot on a Saturday when everyone is coming to park for Cinnamon’s. Also, I’m not sure if it’s 24-hour paid meter parking, or the«free after 6pm» type of thing. You’ll have to check when you get there. I will be buying a package deal here as soon as I budget to get one. I believe their prices are comparable to the other Kailua studios. Their mat class I went to had about 4 other people besides me. You also use all the mat equipment like the rubber band, foam block and I think the mini weight balls. When you leave, you’ll feel so much healthier, energized and your muscles will definitely feel like they had a workout – minus the sweatyness that you get from Hot Yoga. I’ve been to all the Pilates studios, so trust me when I say this is one of the better Pilates Studios when you consider time and quality etiquette of the instructor, spaciousness and view of the room and amount of equipment you use in a mat session.

Great yoga, pilates and gyro tonic studio in Kailua. Hidden upstairs from Cinamons, the staff are excellent. I participated in a few group yoga flow classes, but primarily worked with Wainani Hansen who was great.
