Little grocery store just off the highway. Has your typical array of convenience store offerings. There were the typical spam musubi, plenty of cold drinks, lots of Hawaiian snacks. It’s right off the main highway, so good for picking up last minute snacks before your flight.

Rising up like an oasis in the middle of the dessert, Matsuyama and the small complex it is a part of sticks out amidst the barren lava fields and brush that dote Kona. Believe me, in the heat of Kona, you are going to welcome Matsuyama so you can grab a cold beverage and some snacks for your journey. Is it anything special? No, but it definitely has icy cold drinks and some pretty tasty snacks whether its poke or chips that you crave. Perhaps granola is your thing? Well, there are option for you there as well. Prices are reasonable, nothing gauging by any means, but not exactly the most affordable. Remember, you’re paying for convenience!

Cool little market we stopped by on our way to the airport. Nothing special, just a great last stop before your flight.

12÷12÷12 The sweetest and nicest people work here! Driving up and down hwy 11, this was the 1st and last of our stops during our 5 day stay… located a few miles from the airport. they have a kind«auntie» who saved us some of their famous musubi… everyday we’d go and they’d be sold out by 9AM! so finally told us if we came in by 8am the next day, she’d put aside some for us… and we did! and they were worth the wait! It’s definitely worth trying!
