Thank you Karen for your patience to pick an epic day for me to take kite board lessons. We waited 6 days to find the perfect wind day… I think it is better to have favorable winds and direction for lessons, rather than just do it reguardless. I had a instructor Chris who was cool, thourgh, and was always «safety first». I will say that this company and its employees are the ones to trus twith your money, time and safety for your lesson in the fun sport of kite boarding. Mahalo… Daniel

Great kite lessons. They are friendly, very careful about making sure you are safe, and positive. Jason (from Florida) has been my instructor and he is a solid dude. They use walkie talkies so you can hear them give tips while you are in the water. I am going back for my third lesson tomorrow.

I took my first lesson with Troy, whom I highly recommend. He is a very capable teacher who blends theory with practice nicely, including some safety drills. We spend a lot of time practicing how to handle the kite and then moved on to water drags. Lot’s of fun, and a great start into the sport. Overall it was an amazing experience, looking forward to the next one.

Great kiteboarding school. Their booking process is easy (you can even do it online through their website), and their instructors are great! They are really patient and thorough, and pushed me to improve and progress while making sure my safety was top priority. I’ve been amazed by how quickly I’ve learned to kiteboard. If you’re looking for a new water sport, looking to expand your kiteboarding skills, or just want to try something fun while on vacation, check them out. I would recommend Aquasports and their instructors to anyone.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time on Kite Beach taking lessons from several of the kite schools and from a number of different instructors. I would echo advice from others about finding an instructor you «click» with. And who that is will depend upon your own skill level and approach to the sport. And it will change as you progress in the sport. I’ve found Karen and the folks at Maui AquaSports a helpful, honest, and very fair school in matching me up with the right person as I’ve advanced in the sport.
My most recent lessons were with the legendary Lou Wainman himself. He was an extremely patient and helpful instructor while I was trying to nail down a heel to toeside turn. Thank you for suffering through my learning curve Lou! He also imparted some tips about cleaning up my stance that I’ve since found invaluable. I would highly recommend both him and the school.

I booked a flight in 2011 to Maui to learn to kiteboard. Before I came I contacted a guy living on Maui and asked what instructor I should use. I will be honest I did say that I wanted a woman. He said that Karen and Diana were the best. Karen was busy and Diana was not available for 2 days. I waited and was boy was I glad I did. Diana has the heart of a teach, passion of an athlete and the experience from years of teaching of knowing how to teach. I had a couple of lessons with Karen and also a wonderful experience. These girls know HOW to teach. I went back to Texas barely riding but I had the confidence to self land and launch and most importantly get out of a bad situation. It is now 2013 and I come back all the time to enjoy myself and rip it up in Maui wind. Diana and Karen are now friendly faces that enjoy seeing on every trip back. Thank you Aqua Sports for introducing me to kiting. It has changed how I live my life.

I had two 2h lessons with Mark Stevens at Kite Beach at Kanaha. Very good location. I practiced and improved my self-​launch, self-​landing, self-​rescue, jumps, toe riding, and overall confidence. He even gave me tips & tricks off hours, and was always willing to show me more. He took me from IKO Level 3K to full Independent Level. I also rented two kites and bar in very good conditions from Karen Lang. And they let me borrow their pump and screwdriver from their truck when I needed. Karen even proposed to repair the broken lines on my bar. And I even rented a room at Karen’s house with an awesome view thru AirBnB. That’s what I call a full kite experience package! Thank you guys.

I had my first kiteboarding lesson with Matt. Super nice guy, super easy going, and absolutely tailored the lesson to what I knew and what I didn’t. It was a very interactive lesson, not just someone telling you what to do all day. I made huge progress, and I’ve quite literally dreamed about kite boarding for the past few nights. Which is funny, because he ended the lesson by telling me to dream about it so that I can lock in the feeling of it until I get a chance to try it again. A-​freaking-​plus.

I was recommended to Aqua sports by a friend. My guide Derek was amazing. Super patient, friendly and open to questions. They provided all the gear and a three hour lesson. I highly recommend them to anyone interested In learning kiteboarding. They are a great outfit and I’m going back again the next two days as I enjoyed it so much
