Liza is awesome. She always does an awesome job, don’t even have to tell her what I want, she does what she thinks is best and its always perfect. Cut, color, style, shampoo, anything. Shampoo is like a bonus relaxation massage. You can tell that she loves what she does and puts her all into your hair, just love her passion for making your hair beautiful. I feel like a piece of art walking out of the salon after Liza works on my hair!

Just got a cut and style from Marci and I love it. She took me right away, no wait. Great massage with the shampoo, she listened to what I wanted and helped where I asked for suggestions. She did a lovely job and my hair is happy!

I decided to treat myself on my birthday to a cut and color. I took a chance with a new stylist and am so glad i did! Jason was amazing! He did a fantastic job. It was the first time i walked out of a salon and wanted to instagram myself!

I’m a hairstylist for over 10 years. I wanted to have the balayage technique done and was referred to Jason. He did a beautiful balayage and was very skilled and knowledgable. He was professional and friendly. I enjoyed the atmosphere and Mary the owner had her cute little dog in the salon. I highly recommend going here if your looking for a new salon to try. They use wella and redken hair color and have a huge retail selection of bumble to bumble.

I live on Maui and had a stylist on oahu for over 10 years. She left and moved to the mainland so I was searching for someone to be on island. Took Brandie’s advice and tried Mary. Was not disappointed and at last have Mary to do my color and have my stylist on Maui!!!

Just completed my first visit here. I was helped by Cassandra who is awesome! I had to get a haircut for a wedding. Being a guy, im always intimated coming into a salon and with no real direction as to what I wanted to do with my hair. Cassandra greeted me and helped guide me through the process of doing what looks best n feels best for me. The atmosphere is pretty laid back. I highly recommend Cassandra.

Hands down the best salon I’ve ever been to! No other place can compare. First of all I love that its located less than 5 minutes away from where I live. Secondly I love the purple colored walls and how organized and clean it is. I swear they probably spray some pixie dust in the air because right when I walk in, it makes me think happy thoughts and I feel really relaxed throughout my appointment. i’ve seen Liza a few times and I love her! She always exceeds my expectations. She always takes the time to listen to what I want and knew exactly what to do with my hair and then some. She even explains what she’s doing every step of the way. She’s easy to talk to (never felt awkward while she does my hair), so down to earth, and really cares for her client. Oh and she gives great head massages when she washes my hair. She also did a fabulous job styling it. She’s just AMAZING!
I highly highly highly recommend this salon to anyone and everyone. They make you feel welcomed, are all so sweet and know what they’re doing. Yes services here are a little more pricey than other places, however it is so worth it. I’d much rather pay bucks at a salon with excellent service than going to a place that has very reasonable prices with crappy service.

They are super nice, but we walked out with a large bill & bad service performed, I guess you need to get Mary to get the service right, the very next day we had to go somewhere else to get a fix it job, won’t be going there ever again :-(
I changed my 1 star to 3 because Mary went out of her way to make it right, I appreciate her contacting me, all though I had this experience that can happen anywhere Mary was very professional on how she addressed my situation.

I went to Liza at the old salon and she as well did a spectacular job on my hair! She did a full color and it was a beautiful brown and she also did a very nice cut as well.
I can honestly say for this salon you are in good hands plus you get your monies worth!~

I’ve been searching for a hair salon since I’ve moved to Maui last year March. Because I’m new here I pretty much Unilocal everything. So I Unilocal hair salons in the area and found Colours Salon with good reviews. I called the same day hoping for an opening, and they a slot for me. Mary (owner) was very nice, she asked what I want it and she did it. I showed her some pictures, she gave me some tips and my highlights came out just what I want it. She even blow dried my hair until it was straight (I have very thick curly hair. lol). I highly recommend Colours Salon to anyone that is new to Maui. Thank you Mary for an awesome job you did on my hair. See you soon when I return from my trip to New Zealand.

Cassandra is amazing. I went to her for a partial highlight. I told her I wanted golden, carmel highlights and that’s exactly what she gave me. She understood local hair and did an incredible job. I have found my Maui stylist. Yay! I highly recommend Cassandra.
PS. I went to J. Meir Salon when I first moved here last year & the girl who did my hair over processed it. She did not understand how to color local, dark hair.

Mary is AWESOME– I couldn’t decide what to do with my hair the other day, I showed her a picture of what I was thinking of, and she said it would look great on me. She cut my hair and it is PERFECT. She cut it exactly how the picture looks and she was right– it looks great, and everyone has commented on how stylish it is!
The only hair place you need to know on Maui is Colours Salon– do not consider anyplace else. These girls are the best in the business!

Just moved to Maui from the east coast, but am a kama’aina returning home, so am used to pricey salons. However, this place beats all!!! $ 60 for a simple cut and $ 60 for a color touch up!!! Yikes… are you out of your mind! This aint my frist time at the rodeo as the saying goes and even Big Island and Honolulu don’t rip you off like this.

Katira has been my hair dresser for years. she is the only one that could get my hair right. I have really fine thin hair, I like a real natural look. She knows how to cut and color my hair perfectly. I have also seen her more creative side for people who want a more unique style. She nails it every time. She does bridal makeup and hair to. Her brides are STUNNING! I recommend her services 100%!

I love Aimee! Upon my arrival to Maui… I really needed to either cut my hair or cover all my grey. YES… at my young age… I have started turning grey prematurely…
Aimee just moved to the islands and started work at Colours about 3 weeks before my arrival. She knew EXACTLY what to do with my hair, what I wanted, and how to get it styled the way I wanted. After reading some of the reviews on this salon, I was a bit nervous about giving it a shot. I had almost no choice though, after searching and searching for a salon on the island that did extensions, this was the only one I found.
I called and spoke with Emily. I explained my situation, I have a ‘unique’ hair style and cut, and have a small amount of blond extensions on my right side mixed in with the black. Being from San Diego, it wasn’t hard to find a salon that could refresh my look, but being on an island, your salon choices are extremely limited. I was suprised at how easy going Emily was, and that she was down to squeeze me in for that following week.
She uses bleach blond extensions on herself, and said since I only normally need about 9 or so, I could use some of hers so we didn’t have to wait for them to come in. That was so awesome of her, since I had already waited too long in between sessions, and my old ones were all falling out.
When I met her for the appointment, everything just fell into place. The extensions were a perfect shade, I even decided to get my blond touched up and my bangs trimmed. To my surprise this shop was awesome. I am glad I went to Colours and even more glad to have found Emily.

This is the best salon on the island with the most talented stylists… Especially Mary! She should win the nobel prize as a alchemist of color. Not only does the color rock… she carves shapes and designs to create peekaboo’s of color that enhances your entire look. It’s incredibly creative and unique. Mary is also a master of corrective color, extensions or whatever your hearts desire. Probably what makes Mary the best hair stylist on the island is that she takes regular trips to London & NY to learn about the latest trends & techniques. Over the years I’ve watched her support her staff, with continuing education, development and support to build their own career. I have been a client of Mary’s for 8 + and highly recommend her services.
The salon carries high end products. My favorite is Sumotech by Bumble & Bumble… it’s one product I can’t live without and makes all the difference in the world.
Customer service is great, excellent atmosphere, lively & fun.
