My family and I were on vacation and someone mentioned this place. We checked it out on Trip Advisor as well. Looked good. We ordered the Garlic Shrimp. The young woman working in the Food Truck at the Polynesian Cultural Center was super nice. The shrimp was tender and good sized as well as a good amount. It comes with a large amount of lightly flavored white rice and macaroni salad which is just perfect. It was more food than any of us could eat.

Great breakfast. Bread so fresh, just smelling it gets the mouth salivating. Breakfast was scrumptious. Slapped your taste buds. Me, personally was way too much bread. However, bread could not have been more than an hour out of the oven. Great local establishment. Lots of local favorites rice, rice & more rice… No coffee. No Juice Would revisit. Great prices.

Tita’s Grill has amazing food. My wife and I had our final meal living on island. I recommend this place to all who live or visit Oahu.

We stopped in here today on her way up to the North Shore. I ordered the tuna melt combo and it was delicious it came with a drink and some fries. My friend got the stirfry and she said that it was delicious, and my fiancé got something else and everyone was very happy with what they got. Quick service, definitely a great stop.

Ordered food from their food truck located inside the Marketplace area of the Polynesian Cultural Center. Holy smokes, so tasty. Get the Pupu Chicken and you’ll be set.

I have mixed reviews because I always get good service in Kahuku and I always feel like I am bothering the food truck at the PCC. Once I went up to the window that was open and the lady slammed it on me and threw up the closed sign? I sat there in disbelief. Go to the one in Kuhuku, the bread is awesom, disappointed in the PCC food truck.

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. We ate at the food truck at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It is the best meal we have had so far on Oahu. My wife had the garlic shrimp and fish. She loved it. I don’t ever eat fish or shrimp, but I ate both and enjoyed it. My son had the grilled cheese sandwich. Best grilled cheese ever. I had the chicken teriyaki. Yummy! Afterwards, they gave us a slice of fresh cut pineapple. Literally, my favorite food of all time is pineapple in Hawaii.

I’ll start with the friendly smiling face behind the counter :) and move on to the amazing breakfast my husband and I had! This is the only place we ate more than once in our 11 day stay on the island! The French toast is like no other, we had to go back again!!! Fresh baked Hawaiian bread with a delicious coconut flavor, melts in your mouth and you cant stop eating it!!! Get their early for their fried rice, we tried twice and were never able to make it early enough! Stop here and you’ll be smiling from start to finish!

This is for the food truck at PCC. I went there yesterday after 2 pm and I was starving! When I looked at the menu, there was a sign that said no garlic fries, no large fries, no combos. I was thinking that this was a Saturday at PCC – how can they not have been prepared with restocking ingredients? So anyway they were busy and I was going back and forth with what I was going to get. When I finally made it up to the window, I ordered the garlic shrimp combo with kalbi. Shouldn’t take that long to grill kalbi and shrimp takes seconds to cook. After I ordered, I noticed there were multiple people complaining they had waited over an hour… UGH it was too late for me to turn back! There was a large group of high school students that had settled at a table behind me. They had not been in the line when I was, it seemed they had been there for a while. I thought they were just hanging out but I talked to them and they said they were still waiting for their food. All they ordered were hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and fries. So my food came out, I had waited over 40 minutes for it. While I found it was satisfying, it was not worth the wait. Taste: Kalbi — pretty good Garlic shrimp — it’s so-so. Go to Fumi’s shrimp truck if you want real shrimp Mac salad — pretty good/standard mac salad On taste I would’ve given 3 stars because it wasn’t bad/I might eat there again but the wait made me drop it down to 2. If I come hungry to PCC next time, I’ll just grab here and there from the other food stands!

Outstanding food, had grilled cheese and garlic fries, they even refunded some due to long wait time. Now that’s customer service

My food was real good! Service, right off the bat, was some of the most friendly I’ve come across on the island. Hats off to the customer service here. The employee answered all of our questions, suggested items and was just so pleasant… it really set the tone. I got the garlic shrimp and garlic chicken. Rice and mac salad. The shrimp were big, meaty, snappy and fresh — garlic butter was delicious. The shrimp peeled very easily — finger licking good! The garlic chicken, tasted reminiscent to soy garlic korean fried chicken. I wanted more, I can’t decide if I like the shrimp or chicken better. The chicken was deliciously crispy too. Bf got kalbi and plain fried chicken. He was jealous. He wanted my garlic chicken. While it was good, it wasn’t great. The kalbi, thicker cut was meaty, but it wasn’t super flavorful and on the tough side. As a Korean, I know it was just because it wasn’t marinated long enough. the plain fried chicken, was just that… plain. It falls short of 5 stars because my rice was completely drenched in the butter and garlic fried chicken sauce. It was too overpowering. I rely on the rice to «cleanse» my palate. So the sauces overpowered and made the rice not edible for me… and the kalbi fell short. Atmosphere wise, plenty of seating. Just don’t go when school lets out — all the teenagers hang out there and it gets alil weird listening to the conversations littered with profanities and who’s hooking up with who.

This is the real deal. Sit out at the picnic tables and chat with everyone while you enjoy some of the best food in the area. We had the garlic shrimp(a MUST) fresh from a local shrimp farm of course. The hamburger steak was our other choice and it was just as fabulous. They didn’t have salad on the menu but made us one anyway, going out of their way to make our meal great. The grilled cheese sandwiches looked AWESOME. Put it on the list for next time.

Right across the street from Kahuku High School is a little known spot that provides real local style food. The must try is the Cocoa with rice along with a slice of buttered bread, made fresh! You might ask yourself about rice in hot chocolate??? How does that work??? All I know is that it does work and it works very well together. Food is tasty and home made! Portions are big and more than a normal person can eat while prices are reasonable! Tita’s is a reflection of the tight knit community who takes pride in the communities roots!

Now this is what I’m talking about: it is totally local, it is off the side of the road, it is cash only, and it is the kinda spot visitors(like yours truly) enjoys trying. There are so many dishes I wanted to try on the menu I found myself standing there awhile and letting people behind me go ahead. I finally settled on the Tita Pak since it gave me the widest sampling, and it totally hit the spot. The plate came with fried chicken, fried fish, beef terri, and spam(folks really do love their spam out here). I like the chicken but wish it had garlic sauce or something on it. Fish was tasty but not digging the mango salsa. As for the beef terri and spam, they were okay. The food actually took a minute or two to come out but was well worth the wait. It also says the food is actually made to order More importantly, it helped me understand what a good Hawaiian plate should taste like. Off to the next local spot.

This is for the truck they now have have at Hukilau Marketplace in PCC. We went there for a late lunch and ordered the pastrami sandwich combo and the garlic shrimp combo with Kalbi.(They were out of burgers.) The pastrami sandwich was worth the price we paid but the combo plate was not worth it at all. Yes it was delicious but small in comparison to what we usually expect from Tita’s. Next time… if there is a next time, I’m going to stick with the burgers and sandwiches.

Located(literally) right off the street corner and across the legendary Kahuku High School, this quaint open-air eatery has been feeding the locals large, tasty grinds for years. Offering large portions of Hawaiian style favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This spot is a favorite for locals and tourists alike, with plenty of dirt parking and picnic table seating available. The Kahuku HS students, alumni and faculty sneak across the street to get a quick bite(sometimes during school hours). We were impressed with the quality of food, kindness of the staff and the convenience of the location. The staff offered us a free cup of hot chocolate rice porridge, so very kind! A hot spot to get your fill while cruising up around North Shore. Like their Polynesian Bread, this joint is highly recommended! Stop by for a bite.

We ended up at Tita’s because my boyfriend couldn’t find Giovanni’s haha… fail it was around the corner. Tita’s was a nice experience though. The short ribs were really really good. I never really am a fan of Hawaiian BBQ but this was very good. Very flavorful and not too salty. The shrimp was good too but I wish it had more garlic! The owners/workers are nice and portions were pretty generous. Not a bad compromise for Giovanni’s. but we didn’t even try Gio’s so idk. hahah 4 stars cuz it was overall tasty for hawaiian bbq

A few month’s back a coworker of mine proudly paraded a picture around the office of Tita’s Killa Moco not taking credit for eating it all, but more so of a «holy cannoli look at all this food» type way. After all of us got our jaws off the floor he proceeded to share just how long it took him to demolish it… I’ll give you a hint, it took more than one day… With visions of three pounds of food in my head, we stopped by here one Saturday afternoon and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the Shrimp Combo with spicy shrimp and added Kalbi as my secondary part of the combo. My husband not wanting to eat enough food to also feed a small village ordered the Loco Moco. When we arrived a tour bus of students were placing their orders before us and I thought for sure we may never eat, but the staff there was not only super friendly but super efficient in making sure that the bus load of students were fed as were the rest of the drooling customers. My Shrimp Combo was absolutely delicious and as I type this I’m plotting ways to find a reason to go out towards that side today… My husband enjoyed his Loco Moco, but the gravy was a tiny bit lacking something, not sure what though. All in all this place was super good and made me a proud member of the clean plate club. Heads up… CASH only.
