This place is so good that I almost wished that I hadn’t ordered the giant plate of garlic shrimp from the famous shrimp place next door. *gasp* It’s really that good. Thank goodness my S.O. doesn’t like famous garlic shrimp because we walked over here and ordered the pad thai and I got to steal some of it. I mean, I don’t even like pad thai and I loved theirs. That’s how good it is. Really fresh ingredients, huge portions, really friendly people. Also, the owners had friends stop by and they made them fresh food which they all seemed to enjoy. You know if it’s good enough for them to make for their friends, it’s gotta be good. Because nothing is pre-made, it takes a while to get your food, 10 — 15 min which is a lifetime for a foodtruck. Cash only.

I am super picky about Thai food and most times I can’t stand it because the food is always too sweet, but this place is legit! Food is really good and their menu is big. Their Thai iced tea or coffee is amazing!

I love Thong’s Thai! We started eating there when we first moved to the north shore, now we frequent weekly! Must try their pad Thai and panang curry. I work here locally and I make sure to recommend her truck to visitors, and they all say she’s the best… her food is made with fresh ingredients, local aloha love and fast service! Don’t miss it!

Food was good, but the cleanliness was not. Two huge roaches were in the window(see pic) sitting there with a lot of their poop sprayed on the cardboard leaning against the window on the inside. Very gross! I’m sure those weren’t the only roaches. AND… they were getting ready to «do it.» Food: nice and spicey, like Thai food should be, but you can pick levels of «heat.» Service was fast. Might go back if the roaches and their poop are cleaned up. Blah!

Thongs does NOT take card, so make sure you have cash. An upside to this is they don’t charge tax. Serving sizes are large and the food delicious. The dining experience wasn’t the greatest. When my husband and I came to try, we watched the woman taking orders snap at the person before us in line. She(the waitress) had headphones in the entire time except when she pulled one out to say«what?!» when she couldn’t hear what the woman ordering was saying. Very brisk, short, and rude with customers. Food was good and was served fast, but I didn’t really appreciate the side of attitude.

Good Thai food in a convenient location. We went to go get some Fro-Yo and decided to also get some dinner. The food is fresh and made to order. It did not take long to get our food and we were pleased with the portion sizes and freshness. We had spring rolls, Pak E Mow, and Chicken Pad Thai. The noodles were are fresh and not over cooked. The veggies and meats were flavorful and well seasoned. My only disappointment was that my Pad Thai did not have any veggies in it while my friends next to me did. The flavors were good and the prices are fair. It’s $ 10 for a plate. They close earlier than expected so get there and order on time.

We only wish we had discovered this place a few days earlier and we would have eaten there every night. The North Shore is not a fine dining location and Thong’s is no exception; however, it was the best food by far that we had during our 5 days there. The servings were large, the price very reasonable, and the panang curry that I had was ono with plenty of chicken and the right amount of heat. So good!

Great Thai food when you’re that far out. Love the Panang curry and the Basil Eggplant. Like almost any Thai place in Hawai’i, they play it safe on the spiciness level. I ordered the my dish spicy(mild and medium are the other options) and It had a slight heat to it, but not much. Perhaps one can request a Thai spicy … That seems to work at other Thai places at least. Portion sizes are enormous when it comes to noodles. The dishes with rice have a slight imbalance with an abundance of rice. Could use a greater variety for higher stars, but they’re also a food truck, so kudos for having as much as they do.

It’s a food truck tucked to the far right from looking at the old sugar mill. I’m so uninspired to write today. so here’s a blurp about it. Menu are pictures with prices all over the ordering side of the truck. I felt the prices were a bit steep for a food truck, since we’re not being seated and served. Service was fast. Food… I got the basil chicken. The sauce was a bit sweet for my taste. I went mild, I could’ve goon a litter hotter, but I just wanted to taste the food before I mask it with spice. The portion was a good size. The Thai iced tea was good. Dinning area are a few plastic picnic tables under a tent. Not sure I would return to try them again.

What an awesome surprise Thong’s was! My hubby and I were doing one of our favorite things: driving along the coast to the North Shore, when we stumbled upon this large lot of food trucks in Kahuku. We usually eat a lot of shrimp when we visit the north shore, but as of late, we have been exploring other dining options. This food truck stop is awesome. They have Mexican food, Chinese food, Philly cheese steaks, yogurt, Thai food… all kinds of food. This is such a good stop for people traveling in a group because the lot offers so many options. There is something for everyone. After checking our Unilocal app, we settled on Thong’s Thai food and we are so happy we did. They have a nice little covered seating area right in front of their truck and the lady who took our order was so sweet. My hubby and I ordered the pad kee mow because we love rice noodles and we love Thai basil. The dish was amazing. We got it at the medium spicy level and the sauce was delicious. It was a tangy and the noodles were really well cooked. None of them were stuck together, which often happens when we order these thick rice noodles. Our chicken was yummy as well, and of course the Thai basil makes everything better. I love Thai basil! I can’t believe this lady made this dish in a truck! My hubby and I scarfed it down, while our puppy chased chickens through the lot. It was a really nice meal. Everything tastes delicious on the North Shore and sometimes I think it’s because you are out in the country while eating out of a box. Other times, straight up, it’s because the good is really good. This experience might have been the result of both those factors playing a role… either way, we loved it. I saw other people enjoying the fried chicken and fried spring rolls too. Maybe next time, we will try some other menu options, but when I find something I love, I will usually just eat that every time I visit an establishment. We will definitley be back to enjoy some good grub on the North Shore.

The noodles here are great!!! While staying at Turtle Bay my husband and I came here twice. The best Thai noodles we’ve had. This place should be as busy as Geovanies. The owners were very friendly and prices are great for the quality of food.

I was expecting good things from here, being the only food truck with customers when I came here for dinner. I ordered the panang curry with chicken, pad keemow with shrimp, and spring rolls. The panang curry was average to me. It wasn’t bad tasting or amazing. There was hardly any chicken in it though, so it wasn’t worth it for $ 9. The pad keemow didn’t smell appetizing. I’m not sure if that’s how the seasoning is, but I had to cover it in the curry sauce so I could eat it. Portion was okay, and it was $ 10, but I would not order it again. Should have tried the pad thai instead. The spring rolls were okay. They seemed like the ones you get frozen from Costco, but I could be wrong. I prefer Thai spring rolls with the chewier wrapper, instead of the ones that’s used for lumpia. The best thing was probably the Thai iced tea. Had some garlic shrimp earlier in the day and got some from here for my sweet tooth. I like supporting food trucks and local businesses, but it’s hard to recommend this place when the entrees are $ 9 – 10 and the food isn’t that tasty. I’d rather eat Thai food from the fast food places in downtown Honolulu.

We went there on a rainy and cooler day expecting Opal’s that is now in Haleiwa. BUT — this guy is even better! Had spring rolls, summer rolls, larp and thom kha soup, and everything was excellent! It’s been a long time since we had Thai food this delicious! Indeed, all is made fresh to order, and I swear we’ll be back

The Thai places near us use thin noodles, we were glad to see this food wagon using thick noodles in their Pad Siew. Asked for spicy and it was flavored perfectly. Old photos show an orange and white food truck, that is now a Chinese Food truck that also serves burgers and cheese steak sandwiches. The Thai Truck is now located in an adjacent black food truck. Wish I was hungrier, I wanted to try the spring roles.
