I was super surprised to find a great selection of bathing suits at all price ranges. We were there in September, so perhaps they were clearing out their swimwear, but I found sale suits starting at only $ 10. More than that, they had a full range of sizes. Something for everyone.

Amazing selection of swim wear. The store is mostly beachwear. If your in a pinch for a nice dress or men’s shirt and shorts.

Great for bathing suit shopping! You wouldn’t expect a mini Macy’s in a hotel, but they surprising have a lot of resort wear. I found a couple of suits and few cover-ups.

I only buy my swimsuits here in the fall and using my 20% discount, I always walk out of there with a great deal and beautiful swimsuits at a bargain price!

How awesome is it to have a Macy’s right here in the Hyatt resort? And as luck would have it, I had just received a gift card from my MIL for Christmas. So, off I went to shop even though I didn’t really need anything(I am a chronic over-packer). I actually disagree with the other reviewer who said that they mark up their prices. I checked the tags of some brands I know and they seemed to be the same. Fortunately they also had some sales going on as well. I purchased a couple of items that said they were only available in Hawaii stores… a very cute«beach wallet»(think waterproof clutch purse) and some earrings. Their selection was pretty much limited to «resort wear» style clothing and bathing suits and cover-ups. They also had a good selection of designer(mid-range) flip-flops like Tommy Bahama and Reef. So, yes, it is accurate to say it is 1⁄5 or less the size of a regular Macy’s. But really, what else would you want from a department store when you are on vacation? The woman working there was super nice and helpful and I was very happy when she informed me that I got an additional 10% the total because I was staying at the Hyatt.

Go for their Tommy B clothes when they are on sale! At this time, I used my Macy’s card for an extra 15% off. I bought several Tommy B silk shirts for less than 30 dollars each(these were the 100% silk variety that normally sells for 120.00 $. Angela, the store manager helped with a price adjustment while purchasing some board shorts. Highly recommended! Plus the fact that sales tax is only 4% compared with Northern California at 9%… Well it’s a no brainer that we were happy and will go there again!

Tiny and pricey. Its odd to see a Macy’s store in a resort. It’s even odder when you walk in and notice its about 1⁄5 the size you would expect. Then you notice that the prices are about 5 times more then you expected. Then you realize the ratio of 1⁄5 to 5Xs makes sense. With only 1⁄5 of the product to sell, they have to charge 5 times as much to make a profit. The good news if you forgot a to bring a dress shirt or ran out of shorts you can get what you need here without having to drive around Maui.
