Rude service, not very clean and not child friendly. Would never return or recommend again or ever. Tons of other nicer places in Jupiter royal café, café de artiste, broken egg are 100 better

Great breakfast place on what appears to be a State or County park. The french toast was excellent. Very thick cut bread. Kids and wife were also very pleased with their meals. After breakfast there is an opportunity for a walk on the beach and some playing in a small playground. Recommended.

Of all the meals I had in this area while visiting my brother, this one stands out the most. It’s a comfy diner by the beach with great coffee, quick service, authentic food, and generous portions! I got the blackened dolphin sandwich(sounded funny for a Northerner to order) with fries. It was delicious and I took half home. I like places that are good without saying so, places without pretense that serve good food… this is one of those places! Can’t wait to come back.

We just arrived to have brunch at 11:00am. We were told we would not be able to order for 30 minutes because they just finished up breakfast and were not yet serving lunch. So we left. So did the party of four who came in after us. Very bad business especially when you advertise as serving breakfast and brunch!

I’ve visited the Lazy Loggerhead Café several times. We typically go for a walk on the beach and then go there for breakfast. The location of the restaurant is perfect. Right on the ocean, very convenient. The inside of the restaurant is a relaxed beach theme. There are spots that need to be cleaned a bit. It’s not appetizing to see grime next to you on the windowsill as you are trying to eat. The service is always sketchy. Each time we go they always ask what juice we want, but we hardly ever actually get the juice. Today was another example of not getting the juice. The food is pretty good. I got a cheese omelette. It was kinda cold when it came out, but pretty standard. Nothing special. The hash browns keep us coming back! They have amazing seasoning and are always very tasty. I was also pleasantly surprised of the toast. It was good quality. I’d give the food 4 stars. The service took my review down to 3 stars.

I was recently staying in West Palm Beach and had shoots in Port St. Lucie. Everytime I go to Florida and rent a car, the clerk at the desk ends up giving me a sweet little convertible for a steal. I decided one day to drive to Jupiter Beach, because it’s kind of on the way to Port St. Lucie, and I was dying to get my toes in the sand for a bit. I kind of picked this place at random. It had good reviews. I was NOT disappointed. I had what is probably the best omelet of my life here – it was the Italian omelet. SOGOOD. I decided to get grits with it, as a departure from the typical hash browns. Besides, it’s the south. Gotta eat grits when you’re in the south. THe bread was fluffy and fat and delicious. The coffee was fabulous. After my meal, I took a nice walk on the beach, which is RIGHTTHERE. It was a gorgeous day, and this was the perfect place to go to enjoy good food, soft sand, and a warm ocean breeze.

When I’m in Jupiter it’s my favorite place for breakfast. Great food and service plus it’s on the beach.

I enjoyed having an early breakfast here. They have really nice grapefruit juice. The food portions are large and tastes pretty good. I tried the almond French toast and the Benedict Arnold. The hash brown patties were crispy and very tasty. The location is nice, only a few steps from the beach. I don’t think I will make a trip with the purpose of eating there, but I will drop in the next time I go around that area.

Very disappointed… arrived and waited to put my name in. It was 10:29 and thru told me they stopped serving breakfast and it would be a while before lunch started. They had 2 empty tables outside(where i wanted to sit) but still would not seat our party of 3. The sign says 8am to 2pm. I mentioned that breakfast was usually served til 11. The lady in change told me, I’m sorry, not today. WOW! i was speach less. As a business owner, i could never. I won’t be back! I was also told due to the long waiting list that is why they stopped. It’s 10:42 and the line is gone.

Used to love this place — but for the same money, I’d rather eat at the Plaza Hotel in NYC. Every one of our five breakfasts came out cold — you know, nobody’s butter melted on anything. I was watching them sit at the pass for ten minutes. Would have pointed it out, but no wait staff to be found during that period. Pancakes the size of a Rosie O’Donnell seat cushion — but they fell apart, literally turned to mush. I’d like to see Mythbusters figure that out. Omelets price out around what a flat screen TV will run you — and yet they still warn you«we charge for substitutions!» — really? So if you don’t want the blanket of Velveeta cheese sauce the bathe every omelet in you get jacked for a premium? Uh, okay — we’ll vote with our feet. The winner at the table was two poached eggs with a side of sausage, aside from the temperature(cold) it was quite good.

Duke’s Lazy Loggerhead is a must visit! This is food & service at its best. Very friendly, very fast. Usually there is a wait to be seated, but it is well worth the wait. The almond French Toast is fantastic!

The lazy loggerhead’s is classic simple dinner food not amazing but not bad. The food is not the main reason you go though. The Lazy Loggerhead is one of the few old Florida restaurants left in south Florida and it is right on the beach at that. The logger head has a very relaxed atmosphere and is has decent food. I will probably go again though there are other breakfast places I like more in the area, but definitely a good place to toss into the rotation.

Doesn’t matter if your a local or tourist here, cause the food is always good whether you are from Canada or Jupiter. In one of the oldest buildings on the beach, everything is tasty, filling and always consistent. Their dolphin sandwich rocks, I prefer it un-blackened, with some chowder and iced tea. They close at 3 so get there for lunch, no dinner. Lots of local artists’ work on the wall and it’s all for sale. Staff is fantastic and they are great and making you feel like your at home A Jupiter must go!

Just a bit of advice to the owner. You should either make your restaurant only breakfast or only lunch. Doesn’t make sense to turn business away at 11a.m. because you’re not serving breakfast anymore to start planning for lunch. Why disappoint people who haven’t even eaten here yet? It wasn’t like you’re that busy you couldn’t accomodate. Fortunately, we arrived around noon so the only option was lunch. However I was disappointed that I couldn’t try the almond french toast. The Reuben sandwich was good and i liked the seasoning on the fries.

Such a delicious funky little place right at the beach. The black bean soup is fantastic and my hubby is obsessed with the grilled ginger chicken. The gooey grilled cheese and tomato is also yummy. Have NEVER had a bad lunch here. Not an early bird so never been for breakfast but judging by lunch it has to be fabulous! The servers are really nice and must like their job because many of them have been there for years. Love this local gem!

Pancakes were gross. So dry and had to use those tiny packets of butter to attempt making them better. It didn’t work. I used 8 packets of butter, and they serve only fake syrup so that didn’t help. I only ate half and I feel like I ate a bucket of fried chicken! What did they do to those pancakes?! I like real food, real butter and real service. This is not the place, even for a glimpse of the ocean through the trees. Coffee was ok. The first time we came at 10:30, we were told we had to get there at 10:15 if we wanted breakfast(served til 11).

Did I somehow travel through some hidden tunnel to the Bahamas? I really felt like I was somewhere in the Caribbean with their island style of cooking. After unsuccessfully trying to find a lunch spot and being misled by the GPS or finding the restaurants were closed, I was very happy to have found this place on Unilocal, because I probably would have driven by, otherwise. Tucked away on the beach, across from the parking lot, was this cute, picturesque restaurant, with soft pastel colors, as if from a painting. The Lazy Loggerhead Café is named after the loggerhead turtle, which nests regularly on the beaches in south Florida. Because of this and its location, I thought it was probably one of those touristy, beachy places(read: crappy, yet overpriced food). Nonetheless, I was hungry. I was greeted by a very friendly staff inside this small, cozy joint, even though they were about half an hour away from closing. I noticed their menu is mostly casual(sandwiches and salads), but my friend and I wanted an entrée. We quickly found our answer in the dolphin platter. I ordered it blackened and it came with a few sides. I was expecting a tiny portion, as it was a beach restaurant and thought it’d be overpriced, but I was surprised by the hefty portion of fish, the beautiful presentation, and the combination of colors of the food. If it tastes as good as it looks, we have a winner, I thought! I took a bite of that dolphin(Mahi-Mahi, guys, not Flipper), and it was so juicy and flavorful! Wow, I haven’t had fresh, tasty, yet light, dolphin for a while! My friend, who does not like fish, actually liked it too! It seemed fresh caught. The citrus rice was also a nice twist, a pleasant change from the usual white, yellow, or brown rice at most restaurants. It came with scallions and black beans. It was very flavorful as all the ingredients were mixed together. It also came with a skewer of fruit and a fruit salsa. I didn’t think fruit and fish would pair up well, but the flavors of the fruit and salsa actually mixed very well. Although the portions were quite large(and we didn’t even have any room for dinner that day!), the food was light, despite the beans. It was delicious and nowhere have I had such a great combination of flavors with seafood. It was simple yet so complex. I see they have been around since the 90s, and I am not surprised. It is family owned, and the owners look like nice folks. The staff told us to take our time to eat, even as they were putting the chairs away. Our waitress told us about her romantic lighthouse wedding too, and offered help in getting us to the lighthouse, which was the real reason we came to Jupiter. We never felt rushed and were well tended to throughout, with constant offers to refill our drinks. Very nice people and great food, a perfect combination. There was also some fun people watching at the beach. Since it’s at the beach, the dress code is casual — even the staff wears polos and shorts. It seems to be a popular breakfast spot in the area, and I am sure it’s great. The Lazy Loggerhead Café has my sign of approval!

Looking to beat the«season» crowd and based on a recommendation for serving an excellent breakfast we stopped by on a recent weekday morning. The good news is there was no wait(as I’m told they often have) and the bad news was that breakfast stops at 11AM. On to lunch; I had a cheeseburger with an ample portion of fries. Very good though not the best I ever had but presented nicely with a properly toasted bun, two cheese slices and two absolutely beautiful tomato slices. I expect I will have that same platter many times in the future. The salad prep area is visible from the dining room and you can see colossal mounded salads being made. My wife had the Cold Ginger Chicken salad; it was huge and delicious with perfectly fresh greens and too large to finish. See my picture of the salad cucumber slices each decorated with a coating of sesame seeds. Real attention to detail! Very friendly servers and nice vibe to the place. Reasonable pricing, maybe a buck or two more for excellent quality and being at the beach. Sit inside or out.
