Don’t order the cod fish and chips! Blah!!! Very fishy, didn’t taste the freshest. Spend the extra $ and get the halibut. Trust me it’s worth it! Great view to watch the boats and float planes come in!

Our family had a mix of both the Cod and the halibut. The Halibut was wonderful. The Cod was not because it was too greasy. The fries were excellent. They had a nice selection of Alaskan beer. Overall it was okay for a tourist place but I would recommend the Halibut food truck that is in town. I am a stickler for restaurant being clean, even if it is not a high-end place, and this place was dirty.

Absolutely abysmal fish tacos. Store bought hard shells, frozen pre-packaged fried cod(Trident?), slathered in a chipotle sour cream and shredded cheddar. They should be embarrassed to serve this dish in a restaurant.

Ordered the fish and chips(Cod) and they were going to close in 15min. They brought it out in under 5min and the fish with horseshoe fries were good. I ate at the bar and the bar tenders were attentive and friendly. Overall good experience and will plan to come back to try the halibut and chips.

when I went this time I had the cod fish and chips. it was a little mushy and powdery, i don’t know if it was the freshest. i’m not a spicy eater and the fries were a little spicy. but my husband had the halibut and chips and loved it ! he ate all his fries and ate mine too ! but he loves spicy things. he even commented I don’t even eat fries that much .oh when we came here 2 years ago it was really good, but it was the halibut and chips I had back then.

I came to Juneau to visit family. I read the reviews of this establishment and thought I’d give it a shot. I ordered a halibut taco and the bang bang shrimp. Neither dish was anything to brag about. Seems like the hard taco shell came from a box and was slathered with a cheddar cheese concoction that took away from what little halibut was there. The shrimp, although tasted fresh came with a siracha mayo anyone can make, no bang bang there. Not impressed.

The Halibut and Chips were absolute perfection. They had a light, crispy beer batter on the outside. Emphasis on light– this wasn’t your typical«60% fish, 40% batter» gig and chips. They were perfectly cooked and came out to me in less than 5 minutes. I sat outside and had a beautiful view of the bay and the ships coming in. For a lunch in Juneau, I literally cannot imagine anything better.

I’m not sure what brought us here, but I’m totally glad we came. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Served in a little bit of an unusual way, crab dip in a cone? Okay? I’ll take it. Oh man, I wish I could go back right now. It’s great that it’s on the water too, you the the view of the cruise ships, the tourists, Mt. Roberts, the tram, the works!

Apparently, this is not the place where I experienced terrible service so I am changing my review as its not fair to this business. The place where I ate is in the same building and located a few doors down.

AWESOME!!! Definitely eat here! We had fish and chips both cod and halibut. And clam strips, all were excellent. You order at the bar then find a table. It works well because by the time you order a table hS cleared.

Had the popcorn shrimp and was pretty good. After chopping down 90% of it became too rich for me – talk about diminishing return. It’s tartar sauce just so so. Tasted like those you buy at your grocery chain supermarket. Draft beer was great… just forgotten the name of it.

The staff is friendly and the fish and chips were really good! I’m usually disappointed with the chips at other places but here, the chips were thin and tasty. We sat outside and had a nice view. Even though it was raining, there was a cover and outdoor heater so everything was good.

Delicious halibut and chips. Batter as light as tempura and fish succulent chunks of delicious halibut. Halibut is a bit more expensive than the cod but worth every penny. Welcome break after the terrible but abundant food on our princess cruise. Chill place to eat and have a beer with a fair number of locals. I would recommend it to anyone looking for some antidote to cruise ship food and drink.

Opening day was great. Staff is very friendly and the food was pretty good(nothing spectacular). For being a hot tourist spot, it was not as expensive as I had anticipated. The view is also wonderful on a warm day. Occasionally, the planes taking the tourists out for a spin will get loud enough(and exude a sufficient number of fumes) to get annoying, but that’s shortlived.

Great place to grab a beer with a view. Since it was raining the day we came by, we sat inside. But we could still see the water and the bar has a comfy almost neighborhood feel to it. Even though I had just had lunch, I decided to try their Fish & chips with cod($ 11.99) since I read so many good things about it. The fish was fried perfectly. Came out piping hot! It was moist and silky. Yum! The fries were a little on the saltier side, but I did love that they were nice and crispy. The bartender was super sweet. I asked her what Alaskan beer she recommended and she picked a great one! I can’t remember the name of it, but I enjoyed it with our fish and chips. A great stop for a snack and drink!

Was initially going to go to the Hangars restaurant, which was what was recommended by the cruise ship, but the line was too long. We opted for this place, which is located in the same Wharf building. It has great outdoor seating, which Hangars didn’t have. Also much more casual(you order at the bar) and they bring the food to you. I much prefer this type of setting. In any case, there was a special on Red king crab legs for only $ 16. I also got the Dungeness crab with fries. Delicious. The king crab leg was tender and salty. No need for any embellishments. Many other places were selling on leg for $ 25 – 30. Dungeness crab was also huge and very good. They partially fried it, but the meat was fresh and delicious. Very glad I chose this place. Right in front of us was the Sound and seaplanes taking off. Very cool.

We stopped in here while in Juneau for our cruise. We showed up right at 11am when they were opening. We were excited to try it out given the high star rating. The bartender couldn’t have been colder in her greeting had she tried. It was almost like she was offended that we would show up right at their opening time! Well, despite her poor service we nestled into the patio with a pitcher of Alaskan White and waited for the halibut and chips and halibut taco. My wife and I agreed that the halibut and chips is a can’t miss here and the taco is a waste of time. I added photos of the halibut and chips so make sure you check that out. Would not recommend this place for more than just a beer and snack. Sorry.

We stopped in for some beer before our glacier flight tour. ATMOSPHERE: The bar/restaurant is located on the pier near the floatplanes and is part of the Merchant’s Wharf Mall. The interior is a plain space with no décor, with bar and table seating. The bar area opens to the outdoor seating area with big garage door-style windows and creates an airy feeling. The outdoor seating area has nice views of the harbor area and ocean. There’s a parked food truck-like stand which wasn’t open but signage started to order food through the bartender. They offer a bunch of seafood apps, chowder, sandwiches, crab boil, and ribs. BEVERAGE: Alaskan White — This has become my new favorite beer on this trip. It’s tastes similar to Blue Moon but better. SERVICE: Nothing noteworthy. I don’t expect much from a mostly seasonal touristy establishment and I was right. OVERALL: Head into the town area and find something there to eat.
