Pretty slow service for not being busy. Ribs were not very good very dry and crunchy, brisket had a lot of fat and was tough. Sorry it was not good.

Stopped by on Saturday night. Nice place.clean. felt like I was eating in someone’s living room. Good music. Nice variety lighting was a bit bright. Four is mmm good. Hospitality 4.0. Spicey sausage 4.0 Corn on the cob 4.0 Barbeque chicken 4.0(moist and smokey) Dry rub ribs 3.9(decent Smokey taste) Individual onion ball 3.8(bit over cooked but huge ) Mashed potatoes 2.0(not the warmest or tastiest) Robust barbeque sauce 2.0 tried all four. Spice level was solid. I just wanted more zestiness.

Excellent food and service by Timothy. We had ribs, onion loaf, baked sweet potato and potato salad. More than enough for late lunch and we even have enough for dinner. Nice cold mugs for beer and a never ending supply of good brewed ice tea. Hadn’t been here in a while but so glad we tried it today. Oh the hot rolls and cinnamon butter that is brought when you are seated are yeasty and homemade YUMMO

Ate here once. The meal was runny and kept me running. If you chose to eat here bring your own TP.

I stay in Joplin at least once or twice a month and know all the good food spots. Red, Hot and Blue is one of the best restaurants in Joplin and one of the best Cajun restaurants I’ve ever been to. Nothing they serve is bad or just ok. I’ve tried many different items on there huge menu and nothing disappoints. And the portions are generous and the different sauces are all tasty. And the bartenders are usually cool and keep the brews coming. The beer selection is great too!

The staff was friendly, service was great. The food however was nothing special the brisket and chicken was dry and over cooked. The side of baked beans was ok nothing special. I would just rate this as an ok place to eat.

Maybe it was my fault, looking for some place decent to eat at 9pm in Joplin, MO. Many of the locally owned restaurants close at 9 during the week. RH&B is open until 10 so I reluctantly gave it a shot. I’m not crazy about eating at chain establishments when visiting. It was a disappointment. My server was the bartender and I don’t drink alcohol. He seemed more interested in cleaning up than waiting on me. I asked for a suggestion as to what to eat; he mentioned a combination plate. I went with the brisket and pulled pork with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes for sides. The food came out very quickly and it was… OK. I didn’t care for it, found it to be bland and boring. The potatoes had garlic so after one taste, they sat. My first time there… I won’t return.

I can’t speak for the whole menu and I also found the brisket to be basically inedible(dry), but I still like this place for one reason: the REDBEANS and RICE is excellent. I always order the same thing: RBnR as the meal + half order of dry rub ribs as a side + beer = perfection. Service can be hit and miss so when you do get attention, ORDER.

Everything here was delicious and priced fair. We had brisket, wings, beans, and fries, plus blackberry cobbler. If the cobbler had tasted home-made, I would have been forced to rate five stars!(Cobbler was good, just not home made kind of good.)

After a day of travel, I came across this BBQ joint. I had the ribs which were cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. I would definitely go back here next time I am in town!

Being from Middle TN I was expecting a homerun… and could not been more shocked when my bbq was a strikeout!!! Meat was dry, and service didn’t make up for it. Much better bbq options in Joplin.

Not bad… I am a bit BBQ fan and while traveling through Joplin saw Red Hot & Blue and had to stop. I particularly enjoyed the pulled pork which had good smoke flavor to in and the Spicy Queso and chips appetizer which had a bit of a kick. While I was not blown away, this is a decent place for BBQ if you are ever in the area.

I really enjoyed my meal here! I was immediately greeted and seated. The waitress was very helpful regarding different menu options. I decided on the«Hoochie Coochie Burger, which is offered at both 1⁄3 and ½ lb. with a choice of 1 side. I chose Collard Greens. The burger was very nicely spiced and was topped with a pile of thinly sliced onion rings. The greens had nice mixing of pork and a slight peppery tang. I enjoyed every bite!!! They also offer daily specials and reasonable prices on the regular menu.

Food was excellent service fantastic. The crew worked together to make sure the customers were taken care of and it showed with there interactions between each other and there customers. Only reason they aren’t a five isn’t even worth mentioning.

Stopped by while getting oil changed at Mobil next door. Had nice turkey sandwich. Little slow to get service. I came in maybe 2:30p and lunch was over so took someone few minutes to walk through the bar to see I was there. Nothing spectacular but decent quality and reasonable price.

If you are going here for BBQ ribs, don’t go. They are over cooked and don’t fall off the bone. From reading other reviews, it looks like they over cook a lot of their meats. Maybe the chefs need more training on cooking meats. Or maybe they need a good meat thermometer so they don’t have think about it. I can’t remember what meat I had(probably chicken) but I remember liking the sides, rolls, and iced tea. I will probably go back to try out more of the menu and give it another chance to cook a meat to perfection… we’ll see how they do.
