I use to love this place but the last couple times I have gone there I have been disappointed. I like that it’s smoked free but the last couple times I have been there it hasn’t been a piano bar they have had a band and the band’s haven’t been bad they just play so loud that you can’t talk to anyone.

JB’s is not always a piano bar but mixes it up with local performers as well as karaōke. The prices are reasonable while the drinks and food are awesome. This is my favorite place in Joplin for wings as they are oven baked and have quite the selection from traditional to loaded, bone in or bone out. My favorite part of JB’s however is their involvement in the community. I personally put together an event for the hospital that they eagerly donated to, and are constantly doing giveaways to patrons. Jon, the owner, has made many strides to curb drinking and driving through offering promotions to people who stay sober, gift cards to people who leave their car overnight, rides to those who are unable to drive as well as the installation of a breathalyzer within the facility. They are constantly coming up with new events and changes to the venue to improve and meet the changing needs of the community. They have a true vested interest in Joplin and the residents and have secured my future business. I highly recommend visiting them!

Always love supporting my local businesses & this is one of my faves! Non smoking atmosphere is great, alway pleasant, ready to help staff & great drinks! Keep up the live music! The new food menu is really good too, not your usual bar food to have pulled pork, franks hot sauce & a fried egg all on 1 sandwich! Plus they’re open for lunch & have specials that include chips & a drink for around $ 8! If you haven’t went yet – check it out & keep your biz local!

This used to be a great place to get decently priced drinks, find some big booty hoes, and get your rocks off in the backroom dance floor… well that’s all changed. Now the drink prices have sky rocketed, no one is ever there, and they play shitty music. If you are old and want to take a break from watching golf on television, come on out to JB’s Piano bar!

Best place to go in Joplin for great pizza and good drinks! Tons of room and a lot of fun when they have dueling pianos!

I’m from Joplin, but haven’t lived there for 13 years. Every year I go back to see friends and family it seems there is a different«in» bar at the time. Then the next year that bar is closed and another bar becomes the«in» bar. I’m happy to say that the last 4 times I’ve been to Joplin, JB’s has been THE place to go, and it is much much better than the alternatives the past few years. There are 3(maybe 4?) different sections and bars in this place. There is always a good, clean, mixed crowed, and there are always good beer prices. I hate just sitting and drinking(Okay, so I don’t hate hate it), but I like to do things while I drink. JB’s takes care of my activity craving. There are pool tables, dart boards, live music, a dance floor, tv’s and pretty much everything I need to cure my attention deficit disorder. 5 stars and two big thumbs up for Joplin finally having a consistently cool place to go.

Piano players were excellent. Unfortunately they didnt have mango martinis & the crowd is more early 20s. But it is a beautiful building & the ambiance is fantastic.

This type of piano bar isn’t what you would expect if you hang around the ones in Kansas City. The room in which is rather large creating an open, but exposed feeling. There are lots of seats to set at. The problem with this is that it leaves no room for people who want to dance with their arm candy. Too many tables near the dueling pianos so it prevents any dancing. There is a full bar, but when I ordered an Old Fashioned there were some ingredients that wasn’t readily available. But the lemon peel substitution helped and gave the drink a rather… unique taste. It isn’t such a bad place. Like any good bar, it doesn’t pick up until after 9:30. The drink specials $ 2 — 5 and $ 5 cover charge are so cheap that you can have a good time under $ 20. Just don’t order a drink that isn’t so commonly ordered and expect to be able to dance when you loosen up a bit!
