Taco Del Mar

We eat here occasionally and the tacos are very juicy and good. However, you must eat there or soon after you take it away because they get very soggy… quickly. The service needs improvement and the staff probably needs a pep talk on being a little more friendly, but its good in a pinch. Try to avoid lunch… that seems to be when things go wrong and I won’t repeat all the other reviews… I will just say they are all true. Another note, this is located in a nightmare area for parking.

Had high hopes because I have heard good things about Taco Del Mar. We were very disappointed. Food was bland and over priced. Staff was nice though.

Welcome to my least favorite Taco Del Mar. I return occasionally merely because of the location. The service definitely needs improvement. They didn’t have any rice today either. Never encountered that before. That’s like going to McDonalds and they’re out of fries. Paid the same price for the burrito and got out of there. I always get the mondo burrito and it’s made differently every time. They are not consistent like Starbucks is. Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re craving this kind of food.

I’ve only had the mondito burrito here because somebody recommended it. You will definitely get full from it and may have to find a bathroom shortly after. It tastes good but not something that I would eat on a weekly basis. Service was good but in reality, it is a pretty nasty dish when you really look at what goes into it. If you get cheese on top of it, it will remind you of the nacho cheese that you get at ball games. Plus it is like 8 bucks for something really unhealthy.

One star for the friendly service. Other than that, can’t say anything positive about the food.
They were skimpy with the meat, but that’s ok because it was flavorless. Tortilla was stale, pico de gallo tasted like canned tomatoes with salt. Rice was undercooked and flavorless, beans were cold and, once again, flavorless. Just bad all around.
$ 9 +, for two tiny tasteless tacos and a side of tasteless rice and beans.
I wasn’t expecting legit Mexican food, obviously, but maybe something decent like Chipotle… not even close. I will not be back.

Tried to eat the food here twice, and failed. The salsa tastes like tomatoes in water, the meat has no flavor. This is Mexican food?

I ate here for lunch at 12:30. I had the two enchiladas (carnitas, medium sauce on top) platter with iced tea to drink. The platter came with beans (black) and rice. I opted for the guacamole, lettuce, and sour cream also. The guacamole was mostly uncooked onions which is foul in my opinion. Onions should be on the side. Half of the rice was hard. The black beans were cold. The price ahould have been cheaper on a day even when the food was good. The enchiladas were good but small. Service was okay.
