Simply put this place has the best quick tacos and burritos on the island. It’s not quite traditional Mexican, but you truly won’t care. Everything is laid out Qudoba or Chipotle style, and while the selection is a little smaller than those major chains, the food is just better. I tell everyone to go here and nobody has been disappointed. While it seems illogical for this place not to be downtown somewhere, that fact simply makes it better. Get through the Hickam gate and you’re in the door 5 minutes later. Do NOT pass this place up before you leave.

Love it love it love it! I am not big fan of Mexican food, but this place is amazing and I would eat here everyday if I could! I am surprised about negative reviews, because it is definitely worth every star and every dollar!

This place is similar to chipotle but a little more authentic. I got a burrito which was tasty but extremely greasy. Let’s just say it didn’t sit well in my stomach =X

This spot is good for being in the terminal. I think I was just really hungry when I ate here, I tried it again and it was just ok.

I cannot stop eating here! Its quick and easy, reminds me of California fast food taco joins :) The owner is great, the food is fresh, and absolutely delicious!!! I only wish they were located off-base so that we could grab food. Their catering services rock too! We did a party with their catering and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how great the food was — not oily, fresh veggies, mouth watering meats!

IMHO this place has better bowls than Chipotle. You can also get the usual Mexican fare, tacos, nachos, burritos etc. but their bowls are the BOMB! You get lettuce, cheese, choice of rice(white or brown), choice of beans(refried or black), meat(chicken, pork, steak), grilled onions/bell peppers, corn, pico, cilantro, sour cream, salsa(mild, medium, hot) and guacamole(additional charge). The bowl is enough to fill you up for sure. They have a sink to wash your hands and a variety of drinks as well. Seating is a tad bit limited but this place is always a winner!

OMYGOSHFULLOFDELICIOUSNESS!!! This is way better than Chipotle IMY. At first we thought it was Big City but the kind owner clarified it for us. Yes kind! I don’t know how the reviews say that he is a jerk but he’s been really patient with the family and kids that ordered before us. Their location is kind of odd, I would hope they open something off base so it’s more accessible to the public. I find it quite unfair that only the military gets to enjoy them as often as they would like! :( Anyway, I had the half chicken half pork bowl, topped with grilled onions and peppers, cilantro, corn salsa, guacamole, squirt of lime and medium salsa and it was the bomb!!! I love love love their corn salsa!!! You could also add potatoes by the way which is a plus. Some of my friends had tacos on a mix of corn and flour tortillas, and they were all so flavorful unlike most of the Mexican places we’ve tried on the island that are usually bland and/or dry. We had a side order of chips and queso and medium salsa, oh boy, I tell you I COULDNOTSTOP! ITWASSOOOOOGOOD! Their hot salsa is really hot by the way. Here when they say hot, IT’S HOTTTTTT! I also like their drink selection, too many to choose from. Facility was clean and cool. The signature wall was quite entertaining while waiting in line or for your food. They’ve had important people sign their wall which I found amazing. Service was fast and friendly. We would definitely be coming back and I bet this would be our go to place. BUT please please open something up off base too!!! :)

You eat here cause it’s quick and easy. The owner didn’t reinvent wheel here. He took a prime location and added a Taco/burrito/bowl food joint. Considering what’s around this place. The food is great. Everything is cooked well done, not dry, well stocked, and fresh. Maybe a greasy but that’s expected. The serving sizes are typical American sizes! The service isn’t the greatest but people here don’t treat you like crap. These people move large lines through VERY fast. I don’t people to be full of smiles during lunch rush. People are saying go to Taco Bell. Really? You’d have to drive off post(this place pretty much only caters to service members. Hell, it’s in a airport terminal for crying out loud). Quick and easy with food that taste great!

Well since I’m a bit spoiled on «Real» Mexican food, i would have to say that Taco Bell gets more stars than this place. Meats were swimming in grease, over flavored and presentation is poor. Spanish rice? None. It’s either white or brown rice. For those raving about this place, well I have to say you haven’t been to Serge’s Kitchen in Manoa. They are the most closest to authenticate Mexican food as you can get. I’ll guarantee you that. Re-check your food prep and presentation and when your ready give me a call and I’ll certify your menu IF it’s good enough.

PCS’d from El Paso, Texas. Haven’t found any good authentic tacos until we found this place. Great food, definitely will be back.

The food is decent, they will serve tacos on soft corn tortillas which I like, and there aren’t many other options on this side of the island. So into inch, they work, I guess. Downside, they relatively expensive for what you get. 6 bucks for two tacos no sides. What really gets my goat is they up charge for everything they can, sour cream, guacamole, pickled jalepenos. Ad a soda and you are looking at 10 – 15 fast food meal that doesn’t include that much food.

What’s all the hype about? I don’t get it. The best part of meal by far was the chips and salsa. The meat in my tacos was pretty crappy tasting. There were also lots of flies in the dining area. To make matters worse I felt kinda sick after eating here. Never again.

Yuck. This place was generally horrible. Got the al pastor quesadilla and it tasted like something in it had gone bad, although I’m not sure if it was the meat or the sour cream or what. Something just had a fishy taste and there isn’t any seafood on the menu. The customer service is really bad. Talk about service with an «f-u». The dining facilities weren’t well maintained and there were flies. My pinto beans tasted like canned vegetarian chili. The only good things were the chips and salsa. This place must be one of the worse on the island. I would prefer Taco Bell.

This place never lets me down. I was kinda scared to try it because it’s in the AMC passenger terminal(military flights only) and though how good could it be… Well, this place exceeded my expectations and whenever I’m over on the Hickam AFB I stop off here for a bite. The breakfast looks amazing, but I always get a chicken burrito bowl and all of the fixings. The price is great and the staff is fast and friendly!

I’m visiting friends on base and we went to get big city taco. This was by far some of the yummiest Mexican food I’ve ever gotten. The steak is the best ever. So insanely delicious. I wasn’t impressed by the chicken but it wasn’t bad. The chips were also fresh and super delicius!

This was a pretty good spot but the el pastor made me sick! I’m giving the place the benefit of the doubt due to me having headache earlier but the burrito was good, nice staff, low waiting!

Not a bad place to go if you are waiting to catch a flight or you are craving Mexican food. We came to Hawaii from Arizona so we are used to Mexican food. It’s not Arizona Mexican but it is still pretty good. They have shredded beef as an option instead of ground beef. They do of course have ground beef if you want that in your burrito or taco. It’s not expensive and has pretty good breakfast.

Finding this place the first time was a bit like playing Marco Polo. If it wasn’t for other Unilocaler’s reviews, I would have given up and just left the AMC terminal longing for a taco and gone home, but thankfully I now know that you have to go ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way to the right upon entering the terminal past the Enterprise and its hidden in the back. I’ve had a few things here and the only thing that ever was«meh» was the bowl which should probably be renamed to a taco salad since its really what most of us who have had burrito bowls at Chipotle, Moe’s or any other place are used to rice and meat and then lettuce as an after thought, but here its lettuce and more lettuce and then a sprinkling of rice. The tacos made with corn tortillas are absolutely delicious. I usually get them either with carne asada or chicken, some pico, cilantro, medium salsa and sour cream. Delicious. The nachos which I’m sure are far more calories than my diet allows for are sinful especially with a shot of guacamole. Definitely worth driving over to the AMC terminal location versus going to the one at the BX, more selection here and food is WAY fresher.

Sooooo, lets talk about this place. As a customer, I have the right to ask questions about the price without getting smart aleck comments from employees. –1 star. Food was good and flavorful. I got the pulled pork and was very happy with it. They charged me $ 1.50 more for a «shot of guac,» which was one tablespoon… sigh. I asked for jalepeños and was told it would be another $ 1.00…no thanks. Total was $ 9.50ish, and would recommend it. The second subtraction of the star was the ridiculously little amount of meat which was put on the salad. I asked how much more double meat would be when I saw how little he put, and was told $ 4 more… that is exactly half of the meal already. No thanks again. –1 star for out of the box charges. Overall experience was okay because the food tasted good, but I wont be coming back. Don’t get snippy buddy, and remember I am the customer. If you don’t like it, quit or sell your business.
