I have been enjoying the pizza at Rosa Mia’s which is takeout part of Silvio’s restaurant for decades. They make the absolute best cheese onion and hot peppers Pizza around. Quite frankly it is the only Pizza variety that I have ever wanted from Rosa Mia. And on top of that they deliver who’s better than them. Okay, let’s talk about Silvio’s the restaurant. For whatever reason it never was in my circle of many go to places. Don’t know why but just never went. About 6 months ago my wife and I decided to try it we have always heard good things. I am kicking myself to this day for not going there before. The atmosphere, and the outstanding attention to detail from the wait staff is only out done by the food itself. Make no mistake Silvios has a wonderful Italian Flair. If you are a fan of fried smelts you absolutely have to try them at Silvio’s. They are light, with a delicate crispness. They start every meal off with a fresh basket warm focaccia bread. I don’t have to tell you what a drizzle of olive oil a little red pepper seed and fresh grated cheese on a plate to dunk the focaccia bread in does for me. Staying with the appetizers, the rabbe is perfectly sauteed with just the right amount of garlic. There is always a special board to go along with a varied menu that includes the perfect parmigiana dishes. Their chicken marsala is outstanding. After all the years you can believe that Silvio’s gravy is without question excellently prepared and is the backbone of their menu. Silvio will help you to pair a wine to go along with your menu choice. Silvios has a full bar, knowledgeable bartenders. Great martinis. Silvio makes every patron feel important…

It only went uphill after we got through the confusion of placing a telephone order to go. the bartender who took the lead in getting me my order was pleasant and very accomdating. MY Polenta was exceptionally good. Cheesy, with great sauce, best described as mouthwatering deliciousness. the meatballs were great and the ample servicing of bread was a pleasant surprise. The price was excellent too. I will return to try other stuff.

How Much? What a sad story. I usually love places like Silvio’s. Old school place, family owned and ran, and old Italian atmosphere. Here’s the issue, the price. A pepperoni and black olive pizza, small canellini bean app and sodas. Almost 40 bucks??? Almost 50 bucks with tip. Ridiculous The pizza was actually pretty decent and you can tell it is made with quality ingredients. The app was awful, it was literally a half a can of beans barely warmed and dumped on top of soggy toast. Tip: Don’t order a second soda, you pay $ 2.50 for 10 oz glass full of ice, no free refill. It’s sad. With so many other good places to go in the area, why bother. Thanks

Had dinner there for the first time last evening. We were got to the restaurant quite late, but we NEVER felt rushed. On the contrary the owners are fantastic, spent a lot of time talking with us and they are so kind and considerate. The antipasto was fantastic, everyone has something different, Pasta, Chicken and my husband and I split the lamb chops. Oh, they were delicious(I have been thinking about that lamb chop all day today). Needless to say, we will be back!

We normally had this restaurant on our 6 – 8 week rotation, We had dinner there about two weeks ago. Bad clams casino, no intervention with staff or owner, left on bill. Owner had so much perfume on we could not enjoy dinner. Off our List.

Typically when I go out for Italian, it is in Boston’s North End, so that is what I’m comparing this to. I had dinner here over the weekend with a group of 8. Everyone at my table had antipasto and a pasta dish, and we all loved it. The portions are well sized – you get just the right amount rather than far too much. Their sangria is delicious too! The staff was friendly(especially the owners) and they speak Italian fluently. This is certainly among the best Italian food I’ve had, and the prices are just what I’d expect from an Italian restaurant. This one is well worth it. I’m going to have to go back because I saw someone at the bar with pizza and it looked awesome!

This place is an absolute must. Great food freshly prepared. atmosphere casual prices reasonable. Staff and owners are the greatest, If you pass this place by you need your head examined. Best Calamari I have ever had. No next day regrets either!
