They can surely use more help in the kitchen Twice on Sunday’s, the drive through with like 4 – 5 cars are asked to pull forward and wait in the parking lot My average time for a salad, Tropichop and ribs is 15 – 20 mins. I am so used to great service at the vinings location Else the food tastes the same. They just need to speed it up!

It’s a chain offering an alternative to crappy junk and they have a drive thru. It is pretty simple. The employees are friendly enough for semi fast food. The chicken, rice, beans, and mac’n’cheese are pretty good. The rolls are consistently stale in my experience. The sides are pretty small, so don’t be surprised when the small sides equate to a couple bites of food. The whole chicken meal isn’t worth the cost. The carve the chicken and there isn’t much chicken meat or breast meat. You are better off with the half chicken meal or getting a $ 6 rotisserie bird from the grocery store. They used to have fajitas years ago and they no longer offer this.

I am a huge fan of Pollo Tropical. Stay away from this location. Service is crap. Workers are rude. Just came in for dinner and ordered chicken. «I’m sorry sir, we are out of chicken for 20 min?» Wait, what?!? Out of chicken during dinner at a place with«chicken» in the name? SMH.

The food is always very good and hot and fresh. The service, eh, not wonderful. If you can deal with the slow service and be patient the food is definitely worth it. We get take out all the time! The cilantro garlic sauce is awesome!

Horrible customer service!!! Gave us the wrong order and then questioned us when we tried to correct the order. They took the food they screwed up away from us and threw it in the trash. Never apologized for the mix up. Never treated us with respect. Won’t be back.

Updated review: We decided to stop in last night. Glad we did. This reminded me of the Pollo Tropical in South Florida I remember. Appears they have made a management change for the good. Tatiana gave exceptional service and ensured we got our food fast. Food was tasty and will be back! Thanks for trying to straighten this location out Pollo Tropical!

No idea why this place gets bad reviews. Food is good and the sauce bar is awesome. It’s the best fast food around the area in my opinion. Not as greasy as other options and the place is clean.

I enjoy coming here. I usually get the dinner that includes ¼ chicken with two sides for around 5.65. This is the place to go to if you’re craving carribean food on the go, don’t want to break the bank, and are watching your waist line. I give the service a c+ and the food a b+. They have all kinds of yummy sides like plantains, Mac n cheese, Yuca, a few different kinds of rice, and corn soufflé to name a few. I personally love their sauces(which are free). They have Pineapple Rum sauce and Cilantro Garlic which are oh so good. If you’re a Plain Jane type of person, then they have bbq sauce and ketchup too. I definitely recommend this place if you like cuban and carribean food. I’m sure you will love it. Be prepared though, because the menu is a little much to take in at first.

I decided to take a quick to go order for this place and wasn’t that impressed. Luckily I didn’t have any issues with their employees :) I tried to order on the healthier side: chicken breast with brown rice with their famous garlic sauce. The chicken breast was alright, though a bit dry. The brown rice was regular, nothing special. Their garlic sauce… was super garlic for sure. Overall, not very impressed due to the quality of the food.

This is the second time at this Johns Creek location and again the service is CRAP!!! I greeted the cashier with a, Hi How Are you! She responded, to stay or to go. Really!!! Thank you Ansley for making me feel welcomed. Smh. I’ll take my business elsewhere!!!

I wouldn’t recommend getting takeout from here. I tried them out for the first time and they forgot 2 sides, a kids meal entrée but somehow remembered the side, and 2 drinks. The food was okay but still trying to figure out how they missed so many items… At the very least I won’t be returning to this location.

I see a lot of bad reviews for this place for their service but personally I’ve never had a bad experience here. Sure, sometimes the food comes out slow but I think its worth it because I love their tropichop. I came in on a friday night for a takeout order and while I was waiting, I saw the staff deal with lots of rude and angry customers with good manners. In my experience personally and observing, there isn’t much to complain about other than that food comes out slowly sometimes. If you are in a hurry, maybe you can try some place else. Speaking of their food, I really like their tropichop. The regular size is huge and has lots of flavor. I like mine with veggies and yellow rice and black beans. Their fried plantains are great too. If you aren’t in a rush, I’d recommend trying pollo tropical.

Waited 30+ minutes for chicken, rice & beans. Everyone else was being served faster than us. We left pissed and angry. Never ever ever ever f#cking coming back here again. Service is complete and utter sh#t. Dissapointed by this so called restaurant. Got refund. Still don’t care. Never coming back.

My experience was quite different for the other reviewers. I am wondering if the are confusing this exceptional fast food restaurant with a below average tablecloth restaurant. Guys, this is Taco Bell or Del Taco done right, Not La Cazuela done wrong. Judge the restaurants like I do, for the class they are rather than against fancier restaurants. Even though they bring the food to your table for you, this is not a table . Okay, after that disclaimer, the food was above average the selection of salsas was vast and tasty. Even though I hit it at the dinner hour, the service was friendly and efficient. And they serve beer! I would go back, except I discovered their sister restaurant, Cabana Grill closer to home.

Not sure what the negative reviews are about. I love this place. My first time at this chain. $ 7 gets you a platter with two chicken breast, a side of your choice, and a piece of bread. Very moist, tender, and delicious. Great selection of sauces. Their hot sauce is amazing. Will be frequenting this location.

TLDR: Food is okay, but service and facilities are under average So I two of the«Tangy Pineapple Wraps» They tasted fine, nothing too special but ok for the price The guy who took my order was brisk and seemed like he hated his job(he probably did) all the tables had crumbs on them and sticky sauce all over it.

So we decided to give this place a try because it’s new to Johns Creek… 1) I went through the drive thru and wasn’t greeted by Kera(the person at the window). No hi, how are you… Just a…$ 15.XX. Note to manager/owner: please put employees with GREAT attitudes at the window! This is the first person your patrons encounter. 2) The food was actually pretty good for the price. I had the boneless chicken breast(very juicy) with yellow rice(very hard). So, overall the food was good and the service was okay. I will give it three stars: Food Four Stars Minus One Star Service 3) If the food overall was great and service was great… I would have easily given this place five stars.

One word summary: Attitude. I used to frequent the on Duluth Hwy but stopped because the service became excruciatingly slow. Figured I try this one tonight. New brooms sweep clean right? WRONG! When I pulled up to drive thru«Thank you for choosing Pollo Tropical. Please hold.» After 10 –15 mins the guy took my order. They are out of mac and cheese. I would have left but there were cars in front and behind and those bumper curb things on the side to hold you captive. Drive around the same 2 cars are waiting. Finally I get to the window, he gives me a fml stare. I say«hi how are you?» Him: *Crickets* Me: *Mentally clutching pearls* Him: Was your order X? Me: No. Him: Was you order Y? Me: No. Me: Repeats order. Asks for sauce. Him: we outta that and a, b, and c. Pays and leaves. Food was ok but I won’t return because of the service.

This place just was built and open so I decided to check it out. I am not going to lie, my first impression experience did not go well. But the lady I talked to could not speak english well so their was some miscommunication I think. She charged me for the wrong thing so the manager has to come over and fix it. Then I never got my plantains that I paid for. I read the two other reviews before me and I have to agree with what they said was accurate. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt that since they just opened these kinks will be worked out in a few months once they get everything settled better. I’ll go back in a couple of months maybe after the kinks have had time to work themselves out and write an updated review.

Very very disappointing! I tried this place last night with my husband and we were totally underwhelmed. I have lived in Johns Creek for 14 years and normally get excited when a new restaurant comes to our area. First off, as soon as you walk in there is a hostess that gives you a ticket for an assigned seat in the dining area. This was a huge turn off. This is a fast food restaurant and I have dined all over the world and always have an opportunity to sit where I want. Secondly, there are far too many workers everywhere. Too many in the kitchen, too many standing around or actually eating with customers in the dining room. Huge turn off! These workers need a break room! And the food was fair to midland! I ordered a 2 piece chicken dinner with 2 sides. The string beans are a huge miss, they need to try another recipe. They are too skinny and lack flavor. The cashier told me I could not select the type of chicken I wanted(dark vs light meat). I had to confirm that with a manager and she was wrong. I asked if the chicken was hormone free and no one knew the answer. So from a training perspective they failed to get their staff up to speed on customer service. I don’t believe they have a quality control process to ensure things are running smooth in the kitchen. There was nothing about the food or customer service that would have me return to Pollo Tropical Johns Creek.
