Bikes and Life

I am a customer who had to have a bicycle from Walmart serviced. Dan took it in and worked magic with it and taking it from mediocre to very good.
I ride the bike on the job as a security officer so I need something that works well.
Take the time to visit the shop before going to the Big Box that has lousy service when it come to putting bikes together.
To put it bluntly, Dan fixed the following:
Brakes — They were pretty much not there.
Wheel bearings front/​rear, looser than they should have been.
Crank bearings were horrifying loose.
It was supposed to be a 21-​speed, but was maybe a 6 and ¾ speed. Never would go into lowest or highest gear.
Dan tuned up and fixed the dérailleur system and it works like a champ!
You cannot go wrong and riders of all types are welcomed whether you are the casual to to road warrior racer, they help everyone with a need.
Give them the business, instead of a Big Box that cannot put bikes together.
Your wallet will love you for it too.

Just a review from a newbie biker– don’t read my review if you are a competitive biker.
Nice bike shop in Johns Creek. The main who helped us was extremely nice and knowledgeable. This shop I noticed afford Raleigh bikes. They have bikes not just for adults but also kids. The bikes are very affordable which was surprising because most bike shops starting bikes are $ 400 – 500. Here they had some for adults at high $ 200s! They know how to build bikes and tune them clearly. I would like bought my bike here but I just didnt like Raleigh bikes personally. But if you do, highly recommend this shop!

Dude, use the bicycle wheel! They did great work. Got a bike working that I have had trouble with and other shops could not tune. The bike looks new. This is the best shop I have used.

Love these guys. I knew Scott from some years back. Bought my son’s bike here. Had to be easy 6 years ago. Last time I was here was maybe 2 years. They checked out my bike as part of their lifetime care on bikes purchased from them. Good people.

I really wish there was a way to give more than 5 stars. If there was, this would be one of the few places worthy of such accolades. I challenge you to find a local bike shop that provides the level of customer service that Amos, Scott, and the rest of The Bicycle Wheel crew provide. The attention to detail they provide to each customer is outstanding. I have never felt like they have tried to steer me into a more expensive product just for the sake of making an extra dollar. Their product suggestions are backed up by years of knowledge and a real passion for cycling. I absolutely trust these guys and will continue to be a regular customer for years to come.

Great place for all your cling needs

I had a wonderful experience with Bicycle Wheel. I worked with Brian, who was awesome! My husband and I were looking into biking for the first time since we were kids and Brian made sure to explain to us what we were looking for, what the differences were in bikes, and how to choose the right bike. It made all the difference in the world! We love our bikes and will definitely spread the word to our friends about how great this place is!

My husband and I bought 2 bikes here the other day, first time riding in 20 years. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and we didn’t feel pressured into making a purchase. Highly recommend!

These guys definitely know what they are doing. Any question that I’ve ever thought to ask, they go above and beyond when answering you. Not only are they super knowledgable about bikes, they will also deliver you the best service — very friendly and approachable. These guys don’t care if you’re a noob or an expert when it comes to bikes — they treat everyone with the same pleasant courtesy.
At their new location, they definitely carry more bikes in stock than they did before, among other things. I was there just recently to take my bike in for a tune up and clean up. Since I ride on the streets of downtown Atlanta in every single weather possible (pouring rain, snow, hail, you name it), my bike was pretty gross. My bike also needed the brake pads replaced since I had worn the pads down pretty badly. Took the bike in one day after work, checked it in, and then received a call from them about 4 or 5 days later saying it was ready for pickup. Price? $ 60 for tuneup and cleanup (I think normally it costs more than that, but I ride a single speed) plus $ 30 for brake pad replacements. Result? Bike was shiny new, with not a spot of dirt/​grease/​grime anywhere!

These guys are great! They are so helpful, kind, and professional. Rather than focusing on making a sale, they focus on understanding your needs and helping you find the product that will suit you best. Many, many times I’ve popped in to ask a question, get advice, or have some small maintenance done for which I have to twist their arms to pay for service. Great place to gain knowledge. They are so encouraging of beginners.

The best service/​repair shop in North Atlanta. Scott knows wheels better than anyone. All the guys are very good mechanics. While they don’t carry high-​end bikes in stock, they work on a lot of them. Good place to buy a kid’s bike or entry level mountain bike, or hybrid.
