I visited Very for the first time last night. I stumbled upon it on the way to Talde(its right across the street) and dragged my friend in to check it out. I had no expectations, but this place just kept getting better the longer we stayed and looked around! So many fun hidden treasures. The owners are super duper sweet and very knowledgeable. They kept bringing out more and more goodies to show us. They really know their stuff too, all about their hand-picked items. There is literally something in here for everyone. Their vintage purse collection is awesome! I left with a pristine Dooney and Burke crossbody bag which happened to be an extra 30% off. The prices are very fair and reasonable. Check out their Insta, they told me that they post photos of their new items. Cool little shop with a great collection of items! I’ll be back!

Hmm… I asked the price of a messenger bag. He hadn’t priced it. I was like, «ten bucks right?» Maybe not my best joke, but well within the realm of acceptable customer banter. His response was, «If you really want to insult me, that’s how. I have to look up how old it is, and how much a leather Coach messenger bag is.» Emphasis on Coach. I wish he were smiling because I was really clearly joking and meant no offense. Maybe I’ll keep going to the other place. I mean, you can either have cheap/good stuff and an attitude, or pricey/good stuff and no attitude. Pricey/good stuff + attitude = nah. Another story in downtown venue shenanigans. To be fair, they do have great stuff. But that’s the easy part. Also I’ve met the woman and she’s really nice.

A spot that certainly lives up to its name: a VERY cool vintage shop. 1) Great assortment of men’s and women’s clothing. There was an especially large stock and variety of army jackets, members only jackets, and tee’s. Lots of unique finds, brand names, and styles. In addition, they also sell shoes, bags, jewelry, etc. Certainly worth looking through, and trust me that there is a lot to see! 2) I found that some things were fairly priced, or even a steal. And other things were a little outside of my range. But for the most part, I would say things were reasonably priced. 3) The gentleman who was working there was very welcoming and helpful. He also recommended that we follow them on instagram(@shopvery) for the newest items, store updates, sales, etc. I always appreciate a social-media-savvy business that keeps in touch with its customers. I didn’t find anything this time around, but maybe next time.
