Starbucks

There was a huge line when we entered. When we finally got to the counter and ordered– my boyfriend pointed out the fruit flies swarming around the pastry case (photo included). Luckily, we didn’t plan to order any ‘food’. As we stood and waited for our drinks ($ 6.26 worth) and the store cleared out, we noticed how FILTHY (photos included) the store was. There was trash/​food all over the tables, counters, floors. everywhere. We took two sips of our drinks and were so disgusted that we threw them out. I’ve been a lot of Starbucks all over the world and this one was by far the dirtiest. Kudos to the tan, thin male barista who was super friendly despite all the chaos!

This Starbucks is really bad. I was first and they were serving people that were behind me and I ended up spending 30 mins (not exaggerating) waiting for my coffee. And they do that all the time that I’m there, and they are pretty spaced out and don’t make the drinks that well.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced! I work very close to this Starbucks and go multiple times a week. At least once a week my drink is made incorrectly. Many times I have been stuck waiting 20 minutes after ordering because the baristas are socializing and moving very slow. I’m very tired of being late to work because my drink can’t be made quickly and correctly! Going to bring my business elsewhere.

My first review! I would love to say that I am so happy that there is a Starbucks at the mall! However, some of the baristas do not get my order correct. At times I get lucky and they do it right (like four out of twenty… literally). It is frustrating to wait on a long line to order and then wait again to receive my order incorrect. I wish the service was better (example: take the time to listen and repeat the order correctly). I also notice they do not follow the recipe and they burn the coffee!!! Starbucks is Starbucks and even though this place is not my number one choice I still love the fact that it is Starbucks coffee (when done/​served correctly). So… in other words the baristas get a C+… Starbucks gets an A+.
My suggestion to the manager would be to encourage the baristas to demonstrate great service and to read up on those recipe cards. Seriously.

This Starbucks is far from perfect. Let’s first off start by saying that you guys should take the free wifi sign down has I have been here over a month and it hasn’t worked (management is aware of the issue too).
Secondly, when I came here daily for the first week, I ordered a custom drink, and every person at the register looked at me crazy or would ask me «what kind of drink is this» so they could ring it up. Thankfully, a couple of the managers realized I was having a issue and thankfully helped resolve the issue with their team. I wish I knew the name of the girl manager who is always bubbly, singing and making sure the place is clean. She rocks!!!
Finally, and one of the main reason this rating is so low. They have a bug and rodent issue. There is constantly flys everywhere in the building. Sometimes it’s so bad that I don’t feel comfortable to sit in there to eat food. Also, if you look on the counter where the espresso machines are by the register, you will occasionally see a mouse trap peaking out at you on the counter!!! Also, I though Starbucks no longer serves the food in the display case? This team gets food from the display case first! (Which also has flies and stuff floating around in it.)

Staff is very friendly and store is clean. My favorite drink would be the flat white. I’ve been here various times and out of the surrounding Starbucks stores, they make the best one! Also, they’re extra caramel, caramel macchiatos are so tasty.

It really got bad serve, today I order cup cake frappuccino, but they mix up my order. I waited for long time…

I guess I should not focus on places that are already popular but this location deserves my attention given the amount of people that come in to the store. Just be ready, you might have to wait in line but you know it’s totally worth it.
Recently there was a change in management which should bring more energy to the store. The baristas are really great and they always deliver a great hustle. They are multitasking most of the time. Way to go.
My favorite: the starbucks double shot, the best way to kick-​start my day.

Really amazing sitting area that is completely empty. They have a combination of sofas, desks, barstool seating and coffee tables for 2. Also some nice art work and music.
They didn’t have the rice crispy dessert.
No long lines, friendly staff, drinks are made well.

Customer service is great. But they’re very very slow. I work in the mall so coming here takes my whole 15 minute break.

I didn’t even get his name, but shoutouts to the barista behind the cashier at around 4pm. You made my day. I always frequent this location and love the staff, always speedy whenever its crowded!

Excellent service. The staff makes an effort to remember who you are. One barista has my order ready before I pay for it. Plus the location is the right size to sit and enjoys coffee

I religiously go to this starbucks location multiple times a day. The staff are always so friendly to me. My drinks are always properly made and on time. I’m very understanding if the place is crowded and there’s a bit of a wait for drinks. I understand some people work in the mall and are trying not to be late but it’s still a starbucks and you cannot expect to to not be busy. The staff always greet me and other customers very respectful and happy. I’m always asked how am I or how was my day. One barista, I believe her name was Sabrina, she’s usually on register or making drinks and she’s always so kind to me. I just want to acknowledge her in this review. I have seen her put up with a crappy customer in front of me once and she didn’t let it phase her at all. She is truly one of the best baristas I’ve dealt with. She’s a pleasure to talk to and even when she’s busy making drinks she’ll look and and greet me still. This starbucks is my favorite and I don’t go to any other.

I’m so grateful that a Starbucks finally opened at Newport, but this place is always so crowded and the amount of baristas working can never handle this. I work right upstairs and I always make sure to get to the mall 20 – 25 minutes early so I can get my Starbucks fix. Even on a Wednesday afternoon this place is crowded. Granted, it is a nice spacious location with lots of room to use the free wifi, but it shouldn’t take nearly 10 – 15 minutes for me to get a plain iced coffee. They should at least get something quick like that out of the way before making things more complicated like frappuccinos or lattes. I always feel like I’m going to be late to work, but at least I have my fuel for the day.

I actually live going to this starbucks, bc first of all its right on water, staff is awesome, no crowds. I think this is the only starbucks that I end up everything I have to meet someone in newport. It’s so close to path station, mall that frds can just walk to it.
Let talk about their serviced, I love it. No second thought, they are good. Servers are very friendly, they will home around with you n talk n make you feel comfortable to cools back again. They just need to keep the place clean more, like wipe down the tables n stuff on times. Beside that little thing I thing the place is good.
Enough space too sit around n enjoy coffee with you frds, loved ones oby the water.
Summers very really good outside as its over looking nyc. It’s beautiful just sit with a coffee n chit chat. You not going to get better scenery that this anywheerr else. Lol
Well overall I live this place n I know ill keep going back.

This Starbucks is great! It’s brand spankin new always clean… The store manager Cali Is great always around and very hands on and involved!!! The staff has a great attitude and always makes you feel welcome… Almost like ur part of the Starbucks family… Thumbs up all the way !!!

this location has THE slowest service ever.
I’ve been here on many occasions and it’s unbelievable how long they take for a simple cappuccino. There were no long lines but about 5 people waiting for their drink along the bar area. And it’s every time. Not just once.
Please. Get it together.

Why am I reviewing a Starbucks? Because they just opened in Newport Mall and it’s a great location, that’s why. This one is bigger than your average Starbucks, so there’s plenty of seating, which a is a definite plus.
Starbucks now has smaller portion sizes of their coffee cake, marble cake etc, $ 2.45 for a piece and you can get it warmed. I can see how a warm piece of cake and a hot cup of coffee can be a huge seller on cold winter days especially when your arms are being weighed down by all the Christmas shopping and you want a nice relaxed brew break!

No long lines, friendly staff and finally open for business at Newport mall. The décor is typical Starbucks, low lit and comfy with free wi-​fi as usual. What I really like is obviously the location, great to take a break in after shopping in Newport Mall which is where it’s located, and right behind the Lightrail
