Carol’s Daughter – Newport Centre Mall

I had never shopped here not until my boyfriend got me a gift set from here for Christmas. Problem was it was almond cookie scented and I’m not one for smelling like pastries love to eat them, just not smell like one. So, I went to Carol’s Daughter to exchange my gift set good luck with that. I went in and their was 2 women there. I thought one was a security guard turns out she was a sales associate. I proceed to tell her about my almond cookie dilemma and how my clueless boyfriend bought me this cookie scented set that I didn’t care for as gift and how I had no receipt. She replies «oh yeah! we can help you with that come this way and try these lotions». I tried one on that I actually liked and I go to her well this one smells good I’ll take this one. At this point she takes me to the register only to tell me that they don’t do exchanges, returns, wagers, bargaining, or anything without a receipt. But that she would be glad to ring me up for the new set I picked up. I was like seriously?(WTF LOOK)!!! wish you would’ve told me this before I went ahead and spent 10 mins of my life listening to you talk about how great this product was and how I would enjoy it better than smelling like a freakin pastry. Needless, to say I left with my almond cookie set and learned to deal with smelling like a bakery with fresh baked goods.

I haven’t been to this specific location, but I have purchased and I am using Carol’s Daughter products on a regular basis. My natural hair is very soft, shoulder length, coiled, not chemically treated and was braided underneath sew in weaves for a period of time. To give my hair a rest from the weaves, I began washing my hair with the Monoi line (shampoo, conditioner and mask) from Carol’s Daughter. The first thing I noticed is how it kept my natural hair from becoming tangled. Then I realized that after simply air drying, my hair could be perfectly straightened with just a flat iron instead of the combination of blow dryer, pressing comb and flat iron. I realized that would almost ensure that my natural tresses wouldn’t experience any breakage due to heat damage for awhile. Then I rod set my hair using Lisa’s Hair Elixir. The amazing thing about Lisa’s Hair Elixir was also how many people ask me what perfume I’m wearing because I smell so good. I wasn’t wearing any perfume at all. I had literally just taken a small dab of Lisa’s Hair Elixir in my hands and rubbed my hands through my hair. My curls have shine and I receive compliments from many people. In a few weeks I will return to wearing a hair weave because I need to travel for business and I have photo shoots. But anytime I’m giving my hair «air», I will be using Carol’s Daughter.
