Shouts out to the dirty staff that makes this place that much more flavorful. And of course shouts out to me.

Honestly the worst. Not only did my order come an hour and a half late, it was cold when it got here. Definitely lost a customer. The food wasn’t even that good.

Literally the worst food I’ve ever had. Not an exaggeration either. Soggy burnt fries, garlic bricks(knots), an inedible cheesesteak. Threw everything away. Complete waste of money and I will never order again. Spend your money elsewhere.

I ordered a chicken caesar salad from here in October 2015 and found a whole bug in the salad. I politely called to let them know and they were extremely rude and unapologetic. They said they would send another salad and even the driver was rude when he arrived. Spend your money elsewhere at a cleaner, more pleasant establishment with better food.

Had ordered Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Did not like it at all. Had to throw half of the pizza. The pizza was mediocre at best.

I will never order from Romano’s again. The 1 star rating is only because you cant post a review with no stars — which is what I would have rated this restaurant. I placed an order through Seamless on Friday, June 19th. After about 2 hours had gone by, I still hadn’t received my order. I called the restaurant and the guy who answered the phone said I’d have to speak to the manager. The moment the manager got on the phone, he began shouting at me. He insisted he had no clue what Seamless was and that I didn’t order anything from them. I told him I was reading directly from my confirmation email which listed his restaurants name, phone number, my order, and total. He continued to be belligerent, telling me to «f*ck off» and calling me ‘crazy’. The call ended with him hanging up on me. I called Seamless customer service and they refunded my order. About 15 minutes later Seamless customer service called me back and apologized, explaining that the manager was ‘confused’ and wanted to still deliver my order free of charge. When it finally came, the food was mediocre at best. Cheese fries were cold and soggy and the pepperoni pizza had a laughably small amount of pepperoni and the taste was bland. If the tirade from the manager hadn’t happened, my conclusion would still be not to return. Romano’s: if you’re going to participate on apps like Seamless and GrubHub, make sure your employees know and understand what the apps are and how they work. Also, patience and kindness go a long way when it comes to customer service. A ‘manager’ should never shout or cuss at a customer, nor should they hang up on them.

This place can not call itself pizza. In no sense of the construct of the entity that is pizza.

I remember stopping by here often after school as a kid. Their slices were huge for a bargain of a price. I returned years later in the wake of Hurricane Sandy with the hopes of some morale boost only to walk into one dingy environment with the most bland pizza I have had. It did not seem fair to write a review in the midst of a disaster so I once again returned years later. Only now, the pizza was even worse. Imagine eating a slice of raw flour and some tomato sauce. Their garlic knots had that same taste with a chalky texture to match. The hurricane may be long gone, but their pizzeria still looks like a disaster.

Delivery driver rude and the food was horrible. Ordered lasagna and a salad… the meat was bad and the lettuce was wilted. Never again. On a positive note, the manager was nice. Too bad he works for a shitty restaurant.

I’ve only had delivery and they always arrive when or before they say they will. The pizza is great and so is the seafood linguine. They don’t skimp on the seafood. I’ve passed by the restaurant a few times and it doesn’t seem too appealing from the street but I’d say give this place a chance. They definitely know how to make good pizza and linguine!

The pizza is not good. When I stopped by for a slice there were these skeevy looking people in the back, the place is kinda in the hood so I guess it was normal to have clientele that were sketchy looking. Later I find out that they were the delivery guys. And although the place is called«Romanos», the cook and who I believe was the owner are Egyptian(not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I want pizzas from Italians) P. S. I don’t think it’s a good habit to roll marijuanna and hot box while delivering pizzas

I ordered my pizza over an hour and 15 minutes before it arrived. When it arrived, it was lukewarm at best. The receipt listed the tip, but it was lower than the amount I actually provided as a tip through Grubhub. Maybe that’s why they decided to wait until the pizza was no longer hot. To top it all off, the pizza was overly greasy and had entirely too much crust. Overall, I was disappointed with Romano’s. With a wealth of pizza options in Jersey City, I advise ordering from somewhere else.

So I only ordered from here because some café didn’t deliver to me. A plain bar pie, which was kind of gross. just something about the pizza did not work. and had an almost bitter taste to the sauce. I’m also upset more places don’t offer buffalo chicken pizza, but I don’t think I’d want it from here anyway. The wings. simple six pieces. I ordered mild, while they weren’t bad they weren’t anything special either just a little greasy. Cheesy garlic bread. was the best thing I got, simple and delicious! Romanos actually has very good bread. A cold mozzarella and tomato sandwich? It was strange. I asked for balsamic and they put oil and regular vinegar on it. Overall, they have really good bread and reasonable pricing, I doubt if they have fresh mozzarella or balsamic vinegar but I love when those are offered too!

I read online that their pizza was good so when I do a Filipino food run on Westside, I decided to stop by. When I say joint, I mean that in every way possible. In my previous posts, I may seem a bit OCD-ish, but hey, it’s food and my body will soon process it, so I try to talk myself out of places that are highly recommended due to the smallest health hazard standards that I’ve implanted into my psyche. So far I’ve managed to block or bypass my instincts by not thinking too hard and in the end I tell myself, why the hell did you do that? In this case I’m stuck whether or not I should go back. This place is centrally located on Westside between Communipaw and NJCU. Not a desirable location or desirable ambiance, but again, pizza JOINT in Jersey City. Pizza was a huge slice. Taste was good, but just putting red pepper or Parmesan cheese can be daunting, the shakers are connected to a thin string attached to the counter. My mind is telling me that this string can easily absorb anything that touches it. Judging the clientele, I wasn’t too sure… ugghh, there I go again. Overall, the slice was good. You cannot have the faintest of heart, just step up, order your slice, walk out, enjoy your slice, and try to forget how you actually got to this point. Your best bet is to get delivery. Out of sight, out of mind.

Yet another order thru : This was last week, after I had gotten injected with steroids and HGH into my ankle. Feeling all Roger Clemens-ish at the time, I figured I could run there at 50MPH. But nope, the ankle gave out and I had to place an online order. Again, the order came pretty quick, in less than an hour. I did not get the pizza, rather I got the Italian burger and a side of mozzarella sticks. Now, I can eat mozzarella sticks all day, or pretty much till the cows come home. And these mozzarella sticks were delicious, though I’m quite sure they were pre-packaged. The Italian burger is really a burger, served on a long roll, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup and mayonaisse. Probably the best burger I have had in awhile. Well, best burger I’ve had in the last week, let me put it that way. Now I just need to try this 24 inch pizza that they serve. I hear it’s a pretty bad boy pizza.
