I had Indian chat here. The dahi batata sev puri was awesome. The samosa was awesome too. Must visit if you are a chat freak!

DEADCOCKROACHES!!! OWNERISRUDE!!! DOESNTTAKECREDITCARDS. One of the shittiest restaurants that exists. I saw two insects in my rice. When I told the owner he told me to look for more rice in the bowl that doesn’t have this. Never understood how this place passed a food safety test.

We have been going there for as long as they have been open. But with time their quality of food has deteriorated so much that we do not go there very often. Now, they are only good for Indian chat snacks and some sweets. Yesterday we went there thinking lets give it another try and we left from there even more disappointed. We ordered chola puri and pav bhaji. I got two big puri’s one dark brown like almost burnt and one smallest bowl of chole good enough for only one puri. They wanted to charge for extra chole which wasn’t very tasty but needed to eat the other puri. The pav bhaji was just ok but the two buns were just grilled without butter and burnt from the top. Now, we are real foodies and have never seen pav served without butter. Worst food. Will never go there again except for their Samosa.

Big fans of Rajbhog(both sweets and snacks) in Charlotte. So in spite of poor reviews from friends, we went there. It was abysmal. First at the counter, the service was poor with inattentive and clueless servers. The sweets there looked not fresh and unappealing. We ordered Dahi Puri, Sev Puri(asked for no dahi) and Khashta kachori chat. All 3 tasted same. Sprouted, moong, chana, too many things, chutneys not very tasty, very little chat masala. Kachori was absolutely flat, so all the dressing was on top :(. The sev puri flat puri was the unpuffed pani puri instead of the maida crisp puri. Poor. Extremely dissatisfying experience.

Rajbhog Sweets has two parts to it. When you walk in, there are tables near what looks like a mini-buffet; there is a table with steel chafers and servers. Walk to the back and you will find yourself surrounded by a variety of homemade Indian sweets. There are desserts in the glass shelves, as well as fresh desserts on metal trays on top of it. The wooden shelves have dried snacks, pre-packaged delicacies, and other goodies. However, I came here strictly for the kulfi/ice cream! Rajbhog Sweets makes its own kulfi as well – you can either buy different flavors on a stick for $ 1 a piece or by the bucket. I bought three flavors: Kesar Pista, Pista, and Falooda. Of those three, the Pista was my favorite, followed by the Kesar Pista, and then my Falooda. The pista had a strong pistachio flavor with a subtle sweetness. I could eat a whole bucket of it and still wouldn’t think it’s too sweet. Same goes for the other two. I personally prefer the falooda ice cream from«big name» shops like Kwality, but the falooda kulfi here is alright. There is also a mango flavor available, which I will probably try along with other treats the next time I’m in the area.

I got mothichoor ladoo and rasmalai. Mothichoor ladoo is awful. Frozen rasmalai in Indian grocery stores tastes much better than this.

I fell in love with samosa here. Went on a samosa binge for a year. Moved on to dosa masala else where.

All I’ve had was the Sev puri but man, it’s awesome! I will come back just for that and maybe one day branch out for something new.

Two stars because of their Diwali left over chum chum etc. mix box which was stale and when the salesman was told, he said that’s how it tastes normally. It’s a good place for samosa but this sweet tasting was a disaster and equally bitter salesman.

It is nice place for Indian snacks, found food here that I had not seen anywhere yet! Everything is delicious esp Gulab Jamun. Thali is also tasty however I felt it had very less items in it. Try patra as they are delicious. At peak hours there is a long line clearly showing how popular the place it. Like me, they are also huge supporters of Narendra Modi :)

Terrible establishment. They have zero regard for customer satisfaction. They started yelling at me in front of all the other customers and talking about me while I was still in the restaurant. They made me two things — both of which were lack luster and tastes exactly the same. I told them I in fact wanted something else, and that what they made for me wasn’t what I wanted — and they made a huge fuss out of it and did not give me what I wanted. I will not be eating here again and would not recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other fine food establishments near by, I’d recommend visiting one of them. DONOTGOHERE.

I ordered vadapav and pav bhaji today. I ate the pav bhaji and the oil was smelling bad. I think they gave old food and most of the thali they give to customers are old and frozen. I might go for frozen food pack comes for $ 2 instead of spending there. Bengali Sweets have best fresh food thali and take out as well. For $ 5 they give 1 entrée(curry), 2 butter chapati, pickel, salad, rice and dal. Everything tastes fresh.

Take all my friends here when they visit JC because it’s the best place to get the Indian food you’ll otherwise not find at a restaurant. Get a little bit of everything and try something new! Favorites include the big bhuji filed with potato curry, dhokla, and the veggie cutlets. Comes with free sweet(tamarind) and green(mint cilantro) chutney.

Busy place on the weekends but then it has many veg options that I crave. Tastes ok, but variety draws everyone there. Eat their fresh stuff rather than the prepared already options. Lassi is good. Dhokla is also good. Gujrati style place. Expect many items from modi’s hometown.

I am a fan of the samosa’s they make here. Didn’t like the other snacks here other than samosa. The chai is okay but coupled with samosa it is good. Will recommend this place for SAMOSA!

We often get Indian snack items to go from Rajbhog but today was the first time I dined in. This is a small cafeteria-style place where you pay upfront and you get a tray with your food. Absolutely no frills. I had the pav bhaji(buttered bun and spicy mashed veggies for those of you who havent tried it yet).It did not even come close to actual Indian street food but it was quite tasty nonetheless. I also tried their mango lassi which was way too sour for me. My friend had the Dabeli(she offered me a taste;kinda like a veggie burger) and Bhel puri. The Dabeli was fabulous but I cant vouch for its authenticity because I have not tried it any place else. In the past, I have tried their sabudana vadas(made with tapioca pearls) and mirchhi bhaji(stuffed and batterfried peppers-EXTREMELY SPICY).While the snacks are always good, they have never really been amazing enough to make me crave them again. For lunch, they also seemed to have thali meals priced at around $ 7 .They also have an extensive sweet selection which I have not yet tried. The people at the counter were not very friendly(or maybe they were just having a bad day).Overall, its a decent enough place to get some snacks to-go but I wouldnt call it a must-try!

The quality of food has severely gone down while the prices have gone up… We ordered the dahi balla chaat and Papdi chaat and they were both very bland. Soan Papdi was the worst & had no flavor and did not even look or have the consistency of Soan Papdi. We bought half a lb and after tasting it threw the entire half lb in the trash. The mango lassi tasted sour and like the canned mango syrup/pulp. Only chaat that was half decent the last time we were here was the samosa chaat. Sad to see the quality of this place deteriorate so badly as this used to be one of our favorite places.

Place is pretty quiet. Reminds me of a cafeteria kinda. Go to the counter, pick your food, pay for it and take a seat. There’s a water fountain with plastic cups if you want water, didnt really scope out much else. I did eat like 6 samosas though. I love samosas. The ones here cost a dollar. And they’re good. And they come with more chutney than you can use. That’s enough for 4 stars. I’ll be by. Maybe try other things if I have room after samosas. Great pit stop for when I’m out riding my motorcycle.

This is a decent option for vegetarian snacks and Indian street food items in the neighborhood. I’ve tried the paav bhaaji, samosa and potato wada and everything was okay, nothing to gush about. Of the three, the samosa gets my vote, it was fresh and crispy, perfect with a hot cup of chai. The paav bhaaji was nothing like what it tastes back in Mumbai, India — this was a pale American version. They also do a mini thali, with two sabzis(veggies) and the option of the kadhi or daal for $ 8. Quite liked the kadhi, as the daal is the Gujarati version, slightly sweet. The food is on the oilier and spicier side.
