Just to preface– I did not get any chicken wings, I only ordered the bruffalo sprouts. I also had my first experience with their food at the Project: Eats festival and they were very busy so that may have not been the best time for them to shine because of how many people were ordering. I give them a three stars rather than a two for those reasons. I ordered the bruffalo sprouts after seeing them on the Jersey City Wingery Instagram and they looked incredible. I am a sucker for Brussels sprouts. The wait was about 10 – 15 minutes, understandable definitely because of the line and the amount of boxes they were filling up at the same time. My Brussels came soggy and overly buffalo-y and a with a burnt taste. They were a big mush at the bottom of the container. I was a little sad but I will probably give them another try in their natural environment of the farmers market. Crying.

These are my favorite wings in the Jersey City/Hoboken area. I’ve been to the Hamilton Park Farmers’ Market twice to pick up a few orders for me and my wife. The first thing that stands out here is the portion sizes. I think the standard order is 6 or 8 wings. The wings have the perfect amount of meat on them, not like the shriveled up wings you might find at a bar or take out pizzeria. If there was an ideal size for a buffalo wing, the Wingery uses that size: plump and juicy. Aside from the skin, there isn’t any extra fat. One order of these wings and the accompanied sides make great for a quick dinner on the go. Speaking of the sides: the celery sticks and blue cheese helps you hit all of the major food groups! The Wingery makes their own wing sauces as well as their blue cheese. Tom, the guy who runs the show, provides a heaping amount of blue cheese with every order. I promise you, you will have enough blue cheese left over for that large side of celery sticks that will be left over after you scarf down the wings. Not sure how they manage to do it, but all 4 orders of wings that I got from the Wingery were perfectly fried. The wings were moist, but not greasy or soggy. The skins was crispy, but once I got past the first layer it was juicy, tender, heavenly chicken meat. I think I need to stop writing because I’m making myself hungry. One quick last note, the Bruffalo Sprouts that the last reviewer mentioned are delicious, and the servings are large(took me 2 days to finish them), and I don’t think you can find them anywhere else.

Passed by this stand at the Hamilton park farmers market. I ordered 12 hot wings and an order of the buffalo Brussels sprouts. I wish their wings were a little saucier but I enjoyed them nonetheless. Their Brussels sprouts were really good and different! I’d recommend for people to check this stand out. They also have mild and bbq sauces, homemade blue cheese dressing.
