Ordered an egg white omelet w bacon, cheese, tomatoes, avocado and peppers. There was no flavor, seasoning to the omelet and all I could taste was grease. The hashbrowns were also soaked in oil. Thought I would try a new breakfast place and unfortunately very disappointed.

STAYAWAY! WILLMAKEYOUSICK! I ordered a hero from the deli last week. It was not what I ordered. There was barely any cold cuts, no mayo, the lettuce was decayed and the onions were rancid. Needless to say I had to chuck it and when I called to complain I got told to bring it back and hung up on! I got it delivered for a reason! I tried once more today and I specifically said to the girl on the phone… «PLEASENOTOMATO! I AMALLERGIC!» I made sure she acknowledged me and she said it back to me «no tomato». The sandwich showed up covered in tomato, very little cold cuts, lettuce that looked like it had been shredded last week, onions that were soft, very little mayo, no oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano… Sadly disappointed. NEVERAGAIN! NEVER! I recommend you STAYAWAY!

Typically, I would give Gotham 4 stars. However, it’s hit or miss with their sandwiches. The Gotham sandwich is great. Order a ham egg and cheese and you’ll get the tiniest portions of ham egg and cheese you’ve ever seen. You may as well just order the roll.

I’ve been getting breakfast sandwiches here and they’re pretty good. It’s close to my apt so getting a decent size sandwich made fresh at a good cost is amazing. Their mozz is real good, the sandwiches aren’t gourmet or anything but you get a decent portion. I usually get a breakfast sandwich wit two eggs, cheese and either bacon or sausage or both with an order of hash browns, and it is usually ready for me to pick up in under 10 min. Can’t speak for the other items but it’s a typical bodega. 4 stars wouldn’t be typical for a spot like this, but they’ve consistently made my breakfast sandwiches real good several times, especially after a night of drinking. Oh yeah, my girl intro me to a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese jelly and bacon. Don’t knock it till you try it.

The owner and chef are really nice. I frequent here for my breakfast as I work near by so it’s always nice to be greeted with kindness first thing in the morning. It’s a neighborhood convenience deli so you can get anything from canned goods to cereal to soda to hot/cold sandwiches. Bacon with egg whites on a roll is my go to and it’s made fresh and delicious every time.

I decided to give them another chance. I guess you need to tell them to have salt and pepper on breakfast sandwich. Otherwise it will be tasteless. I did this time, and it does taste better. The portion of the food is great. and the price is low. wrap is not bad. I might try them again.

This no-frills, inexpensive JC deli is definitely what you see(on the menu) is what you get. This is the second time I ordered from here. Service is very … abrupt. I was asked twice in quick succession what I wanted before I was even halfway done looking at the sandwich menu. I ordered the #20 — Genoa salami, soppresata, fresh mozzarella, and roasted red peppers — and that’s exactly what I got. No dressing, no oil and vinegar, nothing, which made for a somewhat dry and unexciting experience. It was very tasty and filling, and the soft long roll is definitely fresh, but it left me uninspired for my afternoon, which is a shame on this beautiful late spring day. I’d certainly choose this place over Subway or Blimpie, but I grabbed a menu for the next time so I can order *exactly* what I want.

If you’re renting a car from the parking garage on the same block, you can get a breakfast sandwich and coffee here. They have tables you can sit at and newspapers to read. I wouldn’t call it gourmet by any stretch. But it’s A-OK.

I’d give it 4 stars for value. Possibly 4.5. Their hot sandwiches are a great deal, and it’s funny to order them by their name(example: «the revive») b/c the employees NEVER know what that means. They have a breakfast sandwich special that’s awesome. Bacon, Sausage(that’s ‘and’, not ‘or’), Egg and Cheese on a Hero. Don’t go here to be blown away. Go here b/c you’re too lazy(or hung over) to cook.

I usually just swing by this place to grab a Post or the occasional emergency gallon of milk. I grabbed a sandwich from them today. I was surprised at how good it was. The roll was fresh & soft, and the turkey was really good. You could tell it was a quality company… not cheap deli turkey with those mystery ‘jelly’ bites. Anyway, give this place a second look if you are on your way to grab a deli sandwich. Don’t just walk by on your way somewhere else.

yes I had to come out of Unilocal semi-seclusion to talk about this place. On Tuesday I ordered a fried egg and cheese sandwich. Something should have tipped me off because as I came to pick up my food the server wasn’t wearing gloves as he cooked, grabbed and finally wrapped my sandwich. I know, common sense should have stopped me. But I was starving and what could possibly happen? Cut to three days later of having an upset stomach, lots of Immodium and a permanent place in the bathroom. And now I’m on my way to get blood tests done, just in case. All for the sake of a fried egg and cheese sandwich. Damn it! Now if you will excuse me, Unilocal is reminding me to write a review about a place I could give two shits about.
