Ridiculous place. Never going back again here. Had an appointment for 2:30, went there at around 2:10 filled out the paperwork and was told to wait for the doctor. That wait never ended. There were 3 receptionists at the front desk and nobody said anything. At 2:50 I asked for the doctor and they said that the doctor is in some conference call and straight away asked me to reschedule. WTF! Bunch of idiots. Wasted my time. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!

Best eye doctor in town! The staff as extremely friendly and patient. The eye doctor was great and took his time through the exam. I would recommend this place to anyone

I had an eye exam at Cohens about a month ago to get fitted for contact lenses and still have yet to receive my contacts in the mail(which were promised to be shipped weeks ago.) After my follow-up appt. to receive a prescription, the doctor stated they would be able to SHIP the contact lenses DIRECTLYTOME to avoid another trip to the store. A few days later, someone from Cohens leaves a message stating the contacts arrived in the store. Clearly, this is not what was discussed and promised. I tell the girl that this is incorrect and that the doctor herself promised they would be shipped to me. About 2 more weeks pass and still no contacts and no phone call either about the status of the contacts. I finally call the store only to hear that the contacts had not been shipped. I was highly annoyed and aggravated at the lack of communication among workers in this store. The only reason I am giving this store 2 stars instead of 1 is thanks to the only competent person, Jillian. She not only listened to what happened, but followed up with me the next day. In addition, she apologized for the mistake the store made and even gave me additional pairs. Fingers crossed i receive the contacts tomorrow(which Jillian is having overnighted to me.) Thanks Jillian for your customer service and professionalism! A few other things to mention and tips: 1.) do not make an appt for a Saturday. Although i had made an appt in advance for Saturday, the store was ridiculously busy and a ton of customers waiting on the bench and 1 Doctor. Did not understand the logic of having 1 dr on hand at their busiest time. Not to mention several front desk workers, some of which were pacing back and forth doing nothing to help customers. 2.) yes, the store is in a mall, but its very tiny 3.) make sure the dr. Is thorough and listens to you. The dr that conducted my eye exam was rushing and seemed to churn customers out like an assembly line

Took over a month to get my glasses. They charged me 500 dollars for glasses w/insurance. don’t go there looking for a bargain or timely service

I scheduled an appointment online and arrived on time. The store opened a few minutes late but since it’s in a mall waiting wasn’t a big deal. I had one of my better eye exams in recent years. The doctor was friendly, informative and thorough. I learned more about my eyes than I have at exams elsewhere. I can’t comment too much on the selection of frames but I can say that a quick glance at the selection made me pleased that I was just ordering contacts. I would go back especially if I can see Dr Hahn again. The exam experience gets a 5 but I lowered the rating slightly based on the quick scan of the frames selection.

Very poor experience. Came here on a Sunday at 4pm, they close at 6pm but I felt so rushed by the physician who was more of a rent-a-physician than an eye doctor. I brought in my contacts to remember my brand — the doctor assigned me the same exact prescription as those contacts I showed him(which btw are 3 years old that i keep in my purse for emergencies). I checked my 2012 prescription at home after the appointment and it is slightly higher than those 3 yr contacts. I highly doubt my vision has gotten better since March 2012. so he definitely just wrote down that prescription and called it a day. The staff was not very helpful with picking out glasses. they’re mostly just high school hoodrats who don’t know a cat-eye from a square lens. The selection is very slim and the Raybans at Cohens are priced at $ 248 but the same ones are $ 156 at Lenscrafters? Don’t understand! I would recommend going over to Lenscrafters, they’re slightly better. Oh and the rebate they gave me expired in 1÷31÷2013 so I have to go back there yet again to pick up a current one. FML.

Eye exam = 5 stars. Fab doctor, really listened to me and understood my unique optical needs. Service after that = 1. Was told 3 – 5 business days for my trial contact lenses to come in. After 4 days, I called to check in and was snarked at for calling(«WE call YOU»). So I waited. 7 business days had passed and I called again to find out that they were backordered, but that no one had bothered to call me. I was told they would be in on Friday. On Friday afternoon, I’ve heard nothing, so I call AGAIN. This time I’m told that no, they were only to *ship* that day. But about 2 hours later they called me and said that the lenses were in. ARGH!!! I say that I’ll be over to pick them up and then am told I have to make an appointment to pick them up due to my astigmatism. Didn’t get them til the Sunday. 2+ weeks after my initial appointment. Ridiculous. At the pick-up time, the doctor(a different doc to the great one I saw initially) was 30 minutes late(he wandered in with his coffee & breakfast) and took all of 5 minutes to see me. It’s just sad that Cohen’s went from 5 star to 1 star service so quickly. The prices are reasonable for lenses, at least. All in all, I can give 3 stars — they could do better.

This cohens has a good selection of glasses and the representatives are pretty nice and professional. I had a small issue with my glasses, brought them back and they took care of them. Nice place to check out if you are looking for stylish glasses!!!

One lady was completely terrible! I wish i got her name but i went there for them to tighten my glasses since i did purchase them there and she gave me the only attitude. After she tightened them, one side was extremely shorter than the other and i couldn’t even put them on my face. When I asked her to fix them she got upset and told me to come back and ask for someone else.

This place has friendly staff(I know of Amanda, and she is SUPERNICE). The staff is good about answering questions about your prescriptions. I would suggest buying frames online though — the Burberry frames I wanted were $ 299 but if you look online for the same model it’s like $ 100 cheaper! However, this place’s lenses are pretty cheap. I did some lenses comparison and this place was about $ 350 for the high index lenses(1.74). The other places in the area(LensCrafters, places in Hoboken, etc.) I was investigating cost like $ 400+.

Dave, the manager is friendly, calm and has good advice for you. They are not pushy and understand that you may not end up buying from them. Their prices on the lenses/glasses and other charges are more reasonable than other stores in the mall but their frames are probably similarly priced elsewhere. Very good service and friendly staff.

I scheduled the appointment online and reached there on time. The Dr attended me immediately. Since it was my first time to get glasses, she was patient enough to answer all my questions. I had the discount coupon that I had printed online so got the eye exam for just $ 29. I did not buy the glasses from there so not sure about the prices. Dr happily gave me the prescription to allow me to buy them online.
