Nothing great about this place. It’s your typical diner style restaurant with a tex mex twist. It is jo different than TGIF or Applebees. Prices are decent and the food is edible. Not much to say…

If you want to take away there is no problem with this place, but if you want to dine in then you must definitely checkout the floors. Floors are dirty and unhygienic, price wise also its ok.

I haven’t been to Chili’s in a really long time but I had just landed in Newark and it was 9:30 East Coast time, but only 6:30 in LA so I was ready for some dinner. My hotel suggested the Chili’s down the road, so I walked over and sat at the bar. The waitress/bartender was super friendly. I ordered this chicken dish with quinoa and veggies and the house white wine. Sipped my wine as I watched the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Food came out maybe 8 – 10 minutes later and it was pretty tasty. Decided to get an angry orchard cider instead of the wine while I finished my dinner. Overall a pretty good experience. One cool thing was that I was able to pay for the bill on one of those small computer screens which was convenient.

Y’know, it’s Chilli’s so you know what you’re getting that’s pretty much the same at any other Chilli’s. I’ve been here a couple of times for takeout and they’ve had my food ready to go and the service has been pretty good. Last time I was there, the woman at the register looked distracted and kept having to leave and come back, so another lady took over the transaction. I know it was busy in there, so I’m not gonna trip. Overall, decent if you’re in a clutch and just want an okay meal relatively quickly.

The service quality is bad. I lightly asked waitress to order foods, the waitress said she was doing her stuff right now, did I see that? I feel very ridiculous. This is my first time met this things. In all. Foods is better than service. I don’t wanna come again because the service

I’ll skip past the food and drinks since it’s Chilis… you know what you’re getting. As far as food and drinks go, it’s on par with your standard Chilis food. Now let’s get into where this place really falls short, service. From the moment we walked it, we knew we were in trouble. The host sat us all the way in the back, not mentioning anything about the happy hour going on upstairs. The only reason we found out was because once we were seated we asked about the happy hour specials but we were already seated so whatever. And that’s probably the best part of the experience. The waitress took our orders and 15 mins later we get our appetizers… no plates, no utensils, no napkins… nothing. So we have to ask for them which at any normal place is standard procedure when you seat the guests. Then I asked for some water and she comes back with one glass of water at which point my fiancé had to ask for a glass as well which she got a big huff and puff from the waitress. Sorry to disturb you but again standard procedure at any normal restaurant to ask if people want water. So we finally get to ordering our meal and it couldn’t get much simpler. I asked for Grilled chicken and grilled chicken with avocado sandwiches to which she responded«wait you want the grilled chicken or buffalo chicken?» to which I responded«Grilled chicken please, so just to make sure we got it grilled chicken sandwich and the grilled chicken with avocado sandwich.» to which she gave the you don’t have to ask me twice look. 15 mins later she comes with grilled chicken avocado sandwich and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Absolutely one of if not the worst service experiences I have ever had. NOTONCE did the waitress ask if we needed anything or if everything was ok. She came to the table 3 times and never took the finished appetizer plates so we had the privilege of eating our wrong sandwich surrounded by dirty dishes. I could go out blindfolded and pick a better staff than they have working in this place. NEVER go here, EVER. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Went here just now with some co-workers for a birthday celebration during lunch. there was barely anyone in the restaurant so you couldn’t really go wring with the service, however the service was excellent. and more surprisingly the food was excellent! I had the lunch special which was a small side salad with honey mustard dressing, and a bacon chicken avocado sandwich that came with fries. I don’t know what it was about the fries but they where sooooo damn good! maybe it was the fact that they where seasoned perfectly. I left not feeling that typical chain restaurant feeling, when you feel all gross and full, which is awesome, because I have 4 more hours of work left!

So my office has gotten catering by Chili’s before, and now we went to lunch here for a coworker’s birthday, and it was a great decision. I usually get ribs at Chili’s, but this time I switched it up and had the Fried Pickles and the Bacon Burger, and those are two good choices. The Fried Pickles were very good, not too oily and still very pickly. The Bacon Burger was very juicy and tasty. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly tasty, cheap lunch here. I got the Big Mouth Bites lunch special, which comes with a choice of soup or salad(I went with the fresco salad), two«Big Mouth Bites», which are mini burgers, and fries all for $ 7. Everything was adequately portioned and had great flavor. Don’t discount the food here just because you have a certain idea of what fast casual food chains are like. The restaurant itself is pretty cool too. There’s two floors, the second of which is on a big balcony by the front windows. That’s where the bar is as well. Lots of TV’s if you need a place to watch sports. Staff were super friendly. I feel like I’ve been missing out for lunch since it’s so close to the offices in Harborside /Exchange Place. They have online ordering as well, so I have a feeling I’ll be here for more meals and takeout in the near future.

This place is pretty bland and for some reason charges for ‘table entertainment’ even if you’re not sat at a table?

This is our favorite place. Food is great and salads are fresh. I can understand the comments around service quality but we enjoy the food here and service hasn’t been terrible. just sometimes the waiter needs to be reminded about bringing a glass or the drink ordered… other than that it is a pleasant place to visit and we are a regular here

I have been meaning to stop by here for quite sometime now, but with the construction that has been going on out front for the last 2 years(seriously its been 2 years) its never really seemed that attractive to me. From the outside looking in, it looks pretty small and narrow, but once you go inside I realized that they have an entire upstairs floor that is more spacious. Their menu had an Applebees-esque feel to it with a heavy Mexican influence. Everything from appetizers, soups, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, enchiladas, taco bowls and nice dessert selection. They also have a few combos meal options to share as well as some great happy hour options. I ordered Margarita Fresh Mex Bowl and the mister ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food was brought out to us. My Mex Bowl was a lot better than I was expecting. It came with seasoned rice layered with black beans, corn, pico, lettuce, tortilla chips, sliced chicken and a few avocado slices. It was drizzled with some margarita sauce. It was a bit hard to mix things around with the small bowl it came in, but honestly there are a lot bigger issues in the world. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The avocado slices were a bit lacking and were a bit hard, I would have preferred if it came with more pico and if it topped with guac and sour cream. I also found it a bit strange that there was an awkward sweetness to this dish, a sugary sweetness that I just couldn’t put my finger on. I could have done without that. I was a bit confused when the Chicken Sandwich came out, I was expecting a sandwich sandwich(you know regular bread) but it served on a hamburger bun — again not big deal. The slice of chicken was a lot larger than we expected which is always a nice surprise. Each table is equipped with an individual tablet in which you can scroll through the menu, play games(for a cost of course) and the best part — pay for your bill, it even will print you a receipt. Location is pretty nice, steps away from the NJ Transit and not far from Newport Center. And if you sit in the right place you have a clear view of the waterfront and Freedom Tower. All in all a solid choice.

Terrible service. Understaffed and servers use bad language. They brought out appetizers along with main course. No one checked back to see if we needed anything. The place is brand new and looks like it recently opened so people are expecting great service. Definitely not coming back any time soon.

Few vegetarian options. Descent Appetizers. Platinum Presidente Margarita is one of the good drinks and Long island iced tea follows after. Nice Ambiance. Please include more options for a vegetarian burger if you can. They only have black bean as of now.

My boyfriend and I love going to Chili’s in downtown Jersey City. The food is good and the service has always been pleasant. I always always get the Ancho Salmon, and their fresh guacamole. Their Arnold Palmer iced teas are a hit or miss. Sometimes it is too sweet and other times, too bland. I do wish they would bring back the Cinnamon lava cake as it was TODIEFOR. Overall, I’ve enjoyed my experience at this location.

Standard Chili’s; pretty much cookie-cutter menu, drinks, deserts, etc. Feel bad that the construction has been going on outside for months!!!

This review is specifically for kiera she is an awesome awesome front end person. Each and every time I have been in to get my food I’m always on crunch time, on a time limit but she manages to take care of me and my order and get it out quickly and correctly she should definitely be commended. The reason I’m writing this review is because customer service is so important but yet its so takes a backseat in many establishments I work in the service industry and I pride myself on quality customer service and Kiera definitely gives that.

Ok so we came here after a long day touring lady liberty and ellis island with both our kids. This was a no brainer. Chillis is Chillis no matter where u go right? This location was alright. The layout is definately akward. Why would you have your bathrooms upstairs? Even the bar is upstairs. Parking i think is on street but the sidewalk is closed due to construction… so they have SIX reserved spots for their patrons only and its a TWOHRLIMIT! So ur basically screwed if you wanna hang out longer than that. Anyways aside from those 2 downers, service was ok. One of our servers was Manolo. He was kool. I got a margarita and surprisingly it was on point. Our food came out at a decent pace however, this place looks a bit understaffed. We had to wait quite a while to ask for napkins and other things we wanted and the restaurant wasnt crowded either.

Ugh! Chain restaurants are always a hit or miss but my goodness, this Chili’s is just terrible! The wait staff is usually nice but they just don’t know what they are doing – someone needs to train them better. I hate writing negative reviews but I went again two weeks ago thinking, after some time had passed from the previous time I ate there, things may have gotten better. Nope :(. This time, there was a terrible odor in the restaurants that my waitress said«everyone tells us that but I guess we are used to it.» Um, ew? Our food was cold when it came out and frankly, just looks so gross and processed. Come on, Chili’s! At least make believe you are preparing things on the spot so it eases my frame of mind when I make a bad food day choice! My fiancé and I always joke that wherever we eat, if the waiter or waitress is overly charming(to the point of annoyance) that our service will be terrible. Chili’s always has those kind of waiters! Come to the table like«hellllo everyone, I am blah blah, and I will be SOHAPPY to take your order.» Like, just don’t. Just get our food and get it hot! The waiters and waitresses are just not timely – I always sit there for so long just waiting for someone to take my order. They added little receipt machines at the tables(great idea) so at least I didn’t have to wait for the bill like I did in years past. They need help.

Staff is really nice, but they are horribly understaffed. You have to really wait to order and to be served. Food is like a regular chain restaurant food. 3 stars only cos the staff is very nice and it’s close to me. Deserts are decent. Molten lava is my fav.

Came late(10:20p and they close at 11) and there was no one working the front to greet people. I didn’t mind because I went upstairs to sit at the bar, but another party wanted a table so they chose to stand and wait. Watermelon Cooler was refreshing. Ordered the Old Timer burger with cheese, medium well. It came out well done, which was not a big deal. Tasted alright… similar to burgers my dad cooks at bbqs. They skimped me on the(tasty) fries though. Best part was the bartender’s service. Idk his name but he said he works Mondays and Thursdays. Very polite, didn’t rush me although I was his last customer. Even chopped it with me a bit before I left. I would give this place another try but earlier in the day/night so maybe the food would be better.

I first have to say I love Chili’s since I’m a big fan of their chicken buffalo salad, nachos and chicken enchilada soup. The service here is so so but I’m at Chili’s therefore I don’t expect 5 star service. The drinks are decent but I always come here for the three items I mentioned above. They do have a small parking lot next door where you can park since parking can get tricky in this area.
