Fresh, tasty, speedy delivery. Great guacamole and cheese empanada. Reasonable price. Will definitely order from here again!

I had the chicken quesadillas and the guac — both were ok, not spectacular. While a quesadilla isn’t that hard to mess up, the guac was surprisingly lacking in flavor and the chips were very oily. Overall, I’ve had better Mexican in JC, but if you have a random craving and live in the area, I think this does the trick.

Tiny little place, so it’s better to get your food to go.
I do not suggest delivery, because I live pretty close by and it took almost two hours to get the food once, and the order was messed up. At that point we didn’t want to wait for re-​delivery so we just ate what was delivered.
That being said, the food is very delicious and for a good price. The taco’s are pretty good, but the refried beans i had were very dry and tasted a little off.

3 Coffee Beans is a very good Mexican food option in the Jersey City area. The guacamole is inexpensive and plentiful, certainly more so than many other offerings nearby. Chicken quesadillas are tasty, although sometimes they can be somewhat greasy for my taste. Flautas are a good dish too.
My only negative experience came during my second order with them. Delivery took close to two hours. I called them about an hour into the order and they gave me the usual boilerplate message that my delivery was on its way and should be there any minute. A half hour later, I called again and this time they called the delivery person to inquire about her whereabouts. Ten to fifteen minutes later, my lukewarm food was delivered. Aside from this experience however, deliveries have been prompt and usually on the earlier side of the time estimate.
Sadly, they do not offer chilaquiles, one of my favorite dishes. However, their available options are very good and definitely rank among the higher end in the Jersey City area.

My first time here, and didn’t expect much due to the establishment’s appearance. But I was surely surprised with the quality and freshness of the food. Lesson learned!

fish tacos are tasty. I love it with the green sauce. And I usually get a side of fries. always so fresh and the fries crispy with just the right amount of salt. simple take out place with good food and decent prices

I ordered dinner from here for my staff at work last night and everyone really enjoyed their food. Good quantity and reasonable prices. I had a veggie burrito which was perfect mix of veggies, cheese, rice and beans. Also had the guac which was delicious and I highly recommend. Unilocal and
said that they don’t deliver to my job but I called and they said that the gladly would which was amazing. Most places won’t deliver to us for some reason even though we are in JC. I’ll definitely be ordered from here again.

Delivery takes forever and it’s definitely not the kind of place where you can stay and eat, but the food is tasty and the people are incredibly kind. It’s a good neighborhood joint if you call ahead and are ready to wait a little while.

Not only is the food authentic and delicious, but the people who own this place are so kind. I actually live only a couple doors down from them and order food occasionally, they are always so friendly. Even when I’m not in ordering food, the owner recognizes me and always says «hello». One time I went in to see if i could purchase cilantro from them because I forgot to pick some up at the grocery store and they were so nice about it and just gave it to me.

Really wanted to love this place because it got such great reviews and McGinley Square is a little bare of places to eat from but I was mostly disappointed by the flavorlessness of everything. I think if they kick it up a notch on the flavor scale, this place could rock.
Will I order again? Yes, but I will give directions on how I want my guac and tacos going forward.

Ordered here again, food came delivered in less than 30mins. Asked for the guacamole to be made spicy this time and they totally nailed it. Also ordered the fish tacos this time and they were great especially with their spicy green sauce.

Not quite sure they deserve the full 4 stars, but the food is way better than 3. Excellent guac, authentic carnitas taco, also liked the quesadilla (i had mushroom).
Just beware that the place is meant for TAKE-​OUT, and maybe delivery. There were 4 small tables in there when i went a few days ago, they were pushed together as one, and they had the grease and dirt from previous customers. The man making the food didn’t ask if i was taking out, just assumed so. I removed the stuff from the packaging and ate at the greasy table. Didn’t see a rest room. Good food, though!

Okay overall,
Ordered pork taco but owner called says will be another hour wait (already waited 30 min.) so switch to steak taco.
Steak Taco and quesadilla were tasty, taco shell a bit too doughy. Flavors are nice. However fish taco (tilapia) wasnt very good, flavorless and all I taste was the dough from taco shell.
A little pricy, sides were okay. Shame that didnt get to try the pork it sounded nice, will try order again.

The BEST guacamole ever! I’ve never eaten at the restaurant, we always get food delivered (which takes forever) but it’s always so delicious! We always look forward to Taco Tuesday/​Thursday.
We’ve tried beef, steak, fish, chicken tacos and some of the quesadillas. My favorite are the beef tacos & will mention again the best guac!

I believe in redemption. I gave 3 coffee beans another chance. I ordered my food on seamless 100 minutes ago, and it is not here. They estimated 60 – 75 minutes. So, even giving them the benefit of the doubt, 25 minutes late. I know I said it before, but never, ever again. Ordered from here twice now and ended up sitting around for hours starving both times even though they are like a mile from my apartment.
update: I called the restaurant after 2 hours, and they said «your food is here. We don’t have avocados though» (I ordered guacamole) So, they were never going to call me, and never deliver my food. Awesome. Do yourself a favor and never order from this place online.

This place is great. Ordered delivery, arrived within an hour. Delivery guy was super nice. They brought us a sprite instead of a ginger ale and he offered to bring back the right drink. They are super affordable. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, an empanada, fish tacos, fries, chips and salsa and 3 drinks for 30 bucks total. Seriously you can’t beat it. And the food was excellent. The fish tacos come with three and they are very light with fresh ingredients. Nice crunchy coating on the grilled fish. The guacamole was amazing, nice hefty portion, made perfectly and came with thick, crunchy tortilla chips with just a hint of salt. Delish! I will definitely be ordering from this place again!

The name may lead you to believe this is a coffee house, but it is a Mexican restaurant in a most unexpected location across from the Beacon.
I had passed it a number of times and finally ordered delivery one day, taking advantage of the «first-​time order» discount. Since there was a $ 15 minimum, I decided to order a variety of food: a mushroom quesadilla, chicken burrito, chips, and a beef empanada.
The quesadilla packed a cheesy, mushroomy punch. The burrito was freaking huge and stuffed to the max with rice, well-​spiced chicken, and cheese (I requested no beans so can’t comment on that). The accompanying guac was fresh and tasty. The chips were crisp, with just the right amount of salt, and were freshly made, which I appreciated — nothing compares to homemade tortilla chips, seriously. I also enjoyed the empanada– the filling was flavorful and not greasy at all.
My only gripe was that the delivery took just over an hour. Also, according to the delivery site, the quesadilla should have come with guac as well, and it only came with sour cream.
Overall, though, it was worth the wait. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area. And, if you are reading reviews on
(aside from mine), ignore the haters and put in an order!

This place needs a new name and a makeover but the food is A+ amazing! One of my good friends lives in «The Beacon» and introduced me to the deliciousness that is Three Beans when I visited her and I had to share the wealth! When I used to visit, we would order pizza or Chinese which were both good but this place is AWESOME! Highly recommend, I wish that I lived closer so that I could get it delivered to the waterfront!!!

This one of the few authentic Mexican Restaurants in Jersey City. Small, low-​key, non-​presumptuous but offering really great Mexican cuisine at very affordable prices.
I particularly love the fish tacos. It is on a soft-​shell, served with tasty fillet of (i believe) tilapia. Also equally delicious is the quesadilla in different flavors. Comes with sour cream, guacamole, and that combo of tomatoes, cilantro, onions on the side.
Fortunately, they accept credit cards now and they deliver via phone call or seamless.
Victor, who owns the place, is great and accomodating, too! Nice, neighborhood place.
