This location is definitely in need of some help in terms of service(more training?) and cleanliness(again training perhaps). We arrived and waited a bit in front to a mostly empty dining area — it being late night. Although we observed the hustle bustle of several workers there seemed to be hesitancy(confusion?) about getting us seated. Our bewildered hostess seated us at a table that we discovered was stained with previous patrons’ food remains. My eggs arrived a bit overbooked but edible. My hot tea was delicious and generous. We had to remind waitress twice about the silverware even after our food arrived. Waitress was friendly and genuinely interested in providing good experience for us. No complaints from my son & my brother regarding their food. By they said they weren’t impressed either. We tipped because we liked the waitress’ friendly attentive demeanor. Overall, borderline decent food but in dire need of staff knowing how to provide bare bone basics typically expected at IHOP(clean table, prompt seating, silverware). Three STARS only because of positive attitude from waitress(not hostess and other staff)

I stopped by here when I was running and got locked out my house. Anyways I was thirsty and i asked for a courtesy cup of water. And they gave me one. So yea really nice people. I just wish I didn’t have to walk back home. But that wasn’t really their fault.

Meh. You know, it’s IHOP. The only thing that can’t be expected is great service but I keep going for the tried and true pancake and waffle concoctions they whip up. On this visit, service was surprisingly good. I’ve had my share of great to terrible service at this location so you just never know. Their turkey sausage is really good and who doesn’t love pancakes. 2⁄5 for this location. Once your food arrives, all is(sort of) forgiven.

Alright so I wouldn’t usually rate IHOP but this one was particularly disappointing. My dad and I were never at this particular location, we live closer to the one on Roosevelt Boulevard and I never thought I would say this but I like ours better. The wait at the Jenkintown location was long, as to be expected on a Saturday, somehow it never is at ours though. I’m not sure what was happening with the food but my pancakes came out like ½ the size of what I usually get at our IHOP and the syrup was in little pourers instead of the big traditional one which also seemed watered down. The service was fine but I wouldn’t go to this location again.

I’m really digging iHop these days. Th efood has been consistently good and hot. Service has been prompt and courteous. Ordered the pancake meal. Two eggs bacon hashbrowns and two pancakes. I do wonder about the cleanliness of the coffee pots. They need to do a better job to wipe down the menus after each guest and to wipe down the outside of the coffee pot.

In my experience, IHOP chains are notorious for bad service. But I love their pancakes, so I go back occasionally anyways. I must mention that I am not from around here and just passing through, so I’ve never been to this specific IHOP before. The food was good, as is typical for IHOP, but I felt compelled to go so far as to write a review because of the phenomenal service I received. Idalina was my server, and she was very attentive, friendly, and genuine. I hope her supervisor will see this, because she deserves a raise or promotion! Thanks for brightening my day, Ida!

the best place to stop late at night before heading back to broad street and no more options at all after midnite… always try to sit in BEN’S section where he hustle, entertains, always gets you the modifications you ask for, and i hop is more than just pancakes-you can even get a chicken parm!!!

IHOP is suppose to be a family friendly restaurant. Unfortunately, slow service, bad tasting food and rude waiters are a big turn off for parents with children. Customer service skills along with crucial conversation is a must when working with Customers. I should not have to hear a waitress say OMG when I asked her to take my payment. Rewarding patrons with a discount is never the answer to everything. I would prefer a great customer experience. Instead of a $ 1.99 discount that I never asked for. Tamika was the waitress

Its ihop. Nothing special. But if you crave a stack of artery clogging Cinnabon pancakes then you’ve come to the right place. We ve been to this location several times and have never had a problem. Only complaint is that the bathrooms aren’t very clean. Otherwise you’ll get what you expect here.

Was out of town and noticed a familiar name. Was pleasantly surprised. I went on a busy time on Sunday. Matthew, our server, went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were taken care of. It didn’t take a long time to get our food. For being so busy, it was surprisingly clean too. We’ll go back while we stay here for sure.

Really? Why haven’t they made zero stars an option yet??? I sincerely believe the only way to fix this location is to burn it to the ground and start over. I could ramble for days about how bad this place is, but I’ll spare you and leave it at this. Whatever could possibly suck about a dining experience is at its worst here.

Coffee was fresh, food was hot, service was great! I have to say — What a nice breakfast experience — We were in a rush to stop somewhere and have a real breakfast, and we stopped in to IHOP. The outside looks like a regular old IHOP, but the inside(starting with the entry way) was nice and new! They have new menus that are bright and clean, and the staff were really friendly. When we ordered we let our server know that we needed to get in & out as fast as we could, and she was great — we had a full breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, everything… in less than 30 minutes. I usually try not to throw down a meal that fast, but we did this past weekend, and it was good!

This is probably one of the worst Ihops I have been to. I don’t care for most chain restaurants, but I love Ihop breakfast. Tried to give it a chance at different times and they failed almost 90% of the time. They are one of the only places open late, but expect an 18% gratuity on your bill for horrible service.

Unless you are craving pancakes I’d give this place a wide berth. We’ve been here a couple of times a year in the 15 years we’ve lived in the area and I think we possibly just had our final visit as the food seems to get worse and worse. The last few times my bacon has either been borderline raw or so crunchy/overcooked it was nearly inedible, the hash browns just seem to get progressively greasier and limper and the coffee is mediocre at best. Last week we ate there and I felt like I could have had a tastier, less stomachache inducing breakfast at McDonald’s for a lot less money. The one thing they still do well is pancakes though they serve them with those revolting fake«syrups» — we have carried in our own pure maple syrup but that is kind of a pain to bother with. I’ve only ever gotten breakfast though hubby tries other types of food and says they are«mostly edible», not exactly a ringing endorsement. As everyone says, it’s high $‘s and high calories and pretty much not worth it. I am giving two stars instead of one since their pancakes are still good(for now!) and they are usually friendly and have ok service.

Want low quality food? Loads of fat and calories? You found it. Give them their due — the pancakes are very good although the syrup sucks and the ‘butter’ is in fact reconstituted extra slutty(the other end of the scale from extra virgin) oils of various tropical and other disreputable sources. The coffee is OK as are the burgers — and late night they are the only game in Jenkintown. Or Wawa and bring it home — a better option IMHO.

The portions are smallish on most items vs. other diners, and there is usually a long wait for your substandard food. It’s hard to go wrong with breakfast but this place often fails. Suppose it could be a good concept, but they do not deliver satisfactory. Despite the overall lack of quality, there is often a long line to get a parking spot and a table on weekends. The inaccessibility of the place further detracts from my opinion of it. Not sure if they use hairnets or not but a simple necessary glance at the food on the way out of the kitchen would be in order.

Smallish place, often not real clean. Only good thing is Friday nights for familys. Free food for the child. They have had balloons for kids too. Any food other than breakfast food is not that good and I suggest NOT ordering it. Never had a waiter or waitress that was all that friendly in several visits. You get what you go for, cheap breakfast food.

Not all IHOPs are created equal, but in this case, this one is. It’s just like any other IHOP I’ve ever been to except slightly smaller — speaking of which, their parking lot isn’t huge. Good spot to go if you have time to kill between classes and you attend college nearby at, say, at Penn State Abington. I’ve had their Grand Slam breakfast which isn’t bad at all. I’m pretty sure the Grand Slam is their’s and not Denny’s, right?(In any event, see the photos I took to see what I’ve tried.)
