The Diner is under new Owner/Management, and has a Entire new menu, Check it out on Facebook. Just thought I would post this Facebook review by Bill Smith… Ok, if you find yourself in or anywhere near Jefferson, TX, you GOTTA go to The Side Street Diner. At lunch today I had what could very well be the best burger ever! I had «The Coronet», which is a big burger with pastrami, ham, bacon, pepper jack cheese and, on top of all that…(wait for it…) a fried egg! Delicious… I think this says it all!

I had the BLT… It was ok.
Iced Tea tastes old
Husband had CFSteak, fries, veg blend, and roll. I tasted the fries… they were mealy with no flavor. Tasted the CFSteak, the coating tasted like it was made with old flour. The roll was on the well done side.
Manager brought out a sample of white chicken chili… the chicken had no flavor, too much cumin and not enough salt; the broth was flavorless and weak. Husband didn’t want me to say anything, but they need to know, hence the review.
The three stars is for the BLT. It would be one star for everything else.
