I agree with Chloe and Jenny. The salon did the same thing to me– booked, confirmed, then said they «forgot» and could I come back a different day? Seriously?
They obviously don’t have much respect for their client’s time. I would NOT recommend this place.

Oh man, I don’t think I can describe how horrible I think this place is. However, I am going to try as hard as I can to articulate how bad this place f*cked me over.
I booked pedicures for my mom and me. I told the lady that my mom was driving up from CHICAGO and it was for her BIRTHDAY. We discussed the right time since my mom had to travel OVER 100 MILES and we landed on 1:30pm.
Fast forward to yesterday at 9:52am. I get a call from a girl to confirm my appointment. I confirmed and she said, «great, see you tomorrow!»
So, today is my moms birthday. We obviously planned the whole day around our pedicures. We get there about 10 – 15 minutes early. We walk up to the doors and they are locked. We think, «okay, we ARE early… so let’s sit in the car and wait until 1:30 on the dot.» So, 1:30 comes along… then goes. I give them a call and have to leave a message because, well, no one was there. So we wait another 10 minutes or so and I call again. NOTHING. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes all together. We left with our minds BOGGLED that a business would do this. According to their Unilocal reviews, this happened 5 days ago as well.
I can not believe the lack or respect this place has for their (would have been) clients. I am new to Janesville and was looking for my new salon. They offer nail services, hair services, waxing, and massage. I would have utilized EVERY.SINGLE.ONE of these services, especially their pregnancy massage. So, not only did they totally and royally f*ck up my mom’s birthday, they lost a loyal customer who would have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here.
I think was really puts the extra insult to injury, is that they called the day before. How do you forget THAT quickly about an appointment that has been booked for weeks? I felt embarrassed and not valued as a customer.
I will go out of my way to steer people away from this place especially because the whole day has gone by and I have not heard from them.

I’m so disappointed! I rarely get to take time for myself and I finally had a chance to get a massage. I scheduled my appointment and arrived a few minutes early to do the paperwork because I had never been here before. When I walked in, the receptionist was RUDE. I told her my name and my appointment time. She then said I must be mistaken because she didn’t have me down. She finally found my name in the schedule and said, «Sorry. I accidentally booked you for tomorrow. My mistake. I can’t accommodate you today. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I did this twice last week. You can come in tomorrow.» SERIOUSLY? I had to work the next day. She said there was nothing she could do and I left. She was rude and condescending and I WILL NEVER GO BACK. It’s too bad considering I was looking for a new spa. Their loss. What a waste of a day off.

When we moved to Janesville, I needed to find a good Salon. I didn’t want a large salon, but instead quality and relaxation. I found Ahvia Salon & Spa on Unilocal and visited their website. I stopped by for a visit and it was perfect, so I made an appointment. It was a very nice space, a lot of attention to detail, creating a very lovely peaceful space. Only 3 chairs, perfect. I was also glad we visited first, as it was a little confusing with the one way streets to figure out the entrance, but worth the time.
I arrived for my appointment and was taken to a chair immediately. I explained what I wanted and showed the stylist the color pallet. The haircut was exactly as I described. The highlights were perfect too.
Upon leaving, there was no upsell on products and no pressure for another appointment. Very different from my last salon. The experience was just what I wanted, great service, nice space, quiet and a great cut /​color.
They have many more services, like manicures, waxing, massage, and more, which on the next visit am going to explore.

My chiropractor recommended that I go to the «salon on the hill next to the travel agency» to get a massage to help with my back issues. He said that they had two massage therapists that his clients always rave about and recommend.
I called and was able to get an appointment with Patrick.
After seeing him and having him work on my back for an hour I walked away almost giddy at how much better my back felt and how much more mobility I had.
The second and third appointments with him were just as great!
He is amazing and I’m just hoping that this review won’t book him out forever so that I can’t continue to get massages from him!
