We were desperate to find some Jamaican food and this was literally the only place open after 2 AM. Actually this location of Jamaican Flavors is 24 hours which sounds convenient. It is also located across the street from JFK Airport, which is very good if you’re craving Jamaican food before your flight. The first thing that turned me off is that you have to order behind a glass after a certain time. I understand that safety is very important, but I was hoping I could go inside seeing that it is winter and extremely COLD! I ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas… and let me tell you that the food was probably the worse Jamaican food I ever tasted! I took one bite and shook my head. I really am hoping that this was just a bad time for them, but based on some other reviews, other Unilocalers have had the same experience!
Never again… I was completely disappointed!

Worst Jamaican food I’ve had. Oxtail and curry goat was gamey and had no taste! tasted like boiled meat. The chicken party was the only thing good. The stew chicken was from the day before. Big waste of time!

I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I usually order by the one on Springfield Blvd, which is fantastic. Co-​workers and I ordered by mistake from this one and decided to do the right thing and pick up the phone (although it was farther). We ordered 15 mins before we would have gone there and were very detailed with our order.
Upon arrival I asked to speak to Danny (who was the guy we gave our order too) and he tells us the food is not ready. I asked why not because we ordered over 20 mins ago, he said he couldn’t give us an answer. The lady behind the counter then proceeded to tell us that she «sold» our food because we said we would be there in 15 mins and we arrived a little over 20 mins. Not only did she give us the wrong food and missed the sides that came with our meals but they over priced us. My co-​worker asked for a menu so we can take with us and the young man told us «NO» because of the prices. We continued to ask for clarification and he told us the prices were cheaper than what he charged and the menu’s and online menu’s were not «updated». At this point we were extremely hungry and just wanted to head out.
During checkout we pay the overpriced meals and I asked the lady for a plate and she tells me «NO». The workers were very rude and not apologetic at all. I will never come back to this place again.

Very slow service. The smoothies are very thick. The food is ok. The beef patties are great. In the summer this place is sweltering, its hotter inside than outside.

Worse Jamaican food ever. When working night shift at the airport you don’t have much choice In what to eat. Came here at 4:00am to buy some jerk chicken with rice and peas which is really BBQ sauce it was a total mistake, I should have stayed hungry.
To make long story short the chicken tasted like it was a week old but I was so hungry that I still ate it. Today is day 3 with stomach pain after eating that food. I’m about to go to see the doctor pain is chronic.

Love the food. But the long lines during lunch becomes too much sometimes. I think they need to hire some new people so that they have different people taking orders and different people preparing the orders. Sometimes I don’t go because I dread the wait…

Oh I dropped someone off at JFK and I needed a bit to eat. This place was open at 1am.
To be honest after my experience at their location off Jamaica Ave I expected the same.
I walk into this hot steamy place at this time of the morning was a line to the door. I was hmm maybe McDonald’s cross the street. After a 20 minute wait I get to counter and order. I was surprised this time of the morning still had a cook there. I ordered boneless jerk chicken with extra gravy and coco bread to sop it up.
It was actually good spicy and moist to my surprise.
I was not impressed with the Mac and cheese was a bit bland to me. The rice was not the moist rice I am used to but it was not bad.
I would eat here again and maybe on some of my international flights grab a meal to go.
