The absolute best pizza in The Houston and Galveston Area… We absolutely love it. And, if you are the rare anchovy fan, you must try the Jalapeño, Anchovy and onion and goat cheese. The combo is incredible. And, the owner is absolutely awesome and is committed to the best pizza, homemade crust, perfectly thin. It’s not papa johns or Pizza Hut. It’s a true Gem on West Beach!!!

Decent pizza, the mushroom was not cut well and hard to eat. But many places have come and gone and this is the best restaurant so far

Seriously the best pizza on the island. Since discovering it a little over a month ago, we have not gone a week without eating there or getting take out. My extremely picky three year, old who never asks for anything, has started requesting it daily. Yesterday I tried there burgers for the first time and I was blown away… You don’t really imagine a place that makes a perfect Italian pizza to deliver a delicious and fresh burger, but that is what I got. I ordered the Hawaiian one and my fiancée got the hot wing one while our daughter got her 20th cheese pizza with bacon and the table once again fell silent when it was time to eat. Thank you for having consistently good food out west and a comfortable island feel so I never feel stressed or rushed eating there with my crazy kid! I’m sure we’ll be back in a few days!

We came in right after spending some time on the beach. It’s counter service with menu options ranging from pizza to burgers to pizza burgers. Excellent service and yummy barbecue chicken pizza!

Now that is what pizza for grownups is supposed to taste like! We had the colossal and by far the best pizza I’ve had in YEARS! We will def be eating here again! The owner was super cool and very friendly! Thankyou for the wonderful pizza!

Good venue for sandwiches, burgers and pizza. The pepperoni thin crust was great for my daughters and tasted on par to me. The mushroom Swiss burger was good. Well seasoned. Nice bun. Excellently seasoned fries. It’s a nice no frills venue to serve the small sleepy tourist dominated community. I recommend it and will be back. Excellent owner.

As with all my other reviews for this vacation, I will start with the whole«island time» concept that everyone in Galveston lives by. Jeeze, I cant believe how long everything takes here. This restaurant is the same. 2 weeks post vacay, I have no idea what I ate here, but I do remember the fun books and magazines they had to look at while you waited,(like I said, we waited… and waited… and waited…) and it was fascinating to learn about Galveston. But since I dont remember what I ate, I guess it wasnt fantastic? What I do remember is that The bathroom here was about as horrifying as any gas station bathroom Ive ever experienced. Be sure to «hold it» should you need to go.

This is a unique place to get a burger or pizza. It has a very eclectic décor. The staff is friendly and the food made fresh to order.

Very disappointed; adjust expectations accordingly. Called in a take-out pizza order and were told 15 – 20 min till ready. Arrived after 20 min and pizza not even started yet — neither were the pizzas for the next pick-up customer behind me. I can imagine the challenges of running a likely seasonally-biased vacation destination restaurant, but their dining area was spartan and the employees were quite disorganized. Pizza was rather simple and basic, but the crust was good and crispy. There is much room for improvement. They did offer BYOB though!

All I can say is stay away from this place. The owner is a real jerk. I tried calling this place for 30 minutes to order a pizza and finally got in my car. Arrived 5 minutes before they were to close and was told it was too late for the pizza. Unfortunately it is the only place in Jamaica Beach to eat. Don’t waste your time.

Ok, if your looking for a great place to eat while you’re in Galveston(right off Jamaica beach) this place is it. Wow! From the Pizza to Burgers the different types to chose from is great. It’s a cut above your normal place. It is artisanal and your palette will thank you. Really worth a place to check out. Now that I know it’s here… every time I come down here I plan on visiting this great pizzeria.

Been getting great pizza and burgers from Blue Water Grill for several years. Fresh, tasty, and whimsically-named food, and they deliver when it’s cold or rainy! The other night I tried using a new Unilocal feature called Eat24 to enter an order on my phone(It’s so new that I this the only place on the west island using it). Eat24 screwed up the process through no fault of Blue Water Grill. In no time, I got a txt from the restaurant apologizing, then a follow-up call – and the owner made things right(Eat24, however, has been silent about their error). Great food and now great recovery from a tech problem caused by another firm… that’s a recipe for repeat business from me!

Terrible service. Average food. Overpriced. Not clean. Same guy sweating and running his hands through his hair was the guy I saw in the kitchen making burger patties.

Yes, yes, and more yes. We love this place. Has the absolute best(thin crust) pizza I’ve had since moving to Texas years ago. It is made very much like that of where I used to live. Full of flavor-no soggy crust! Homemade dressings… salad, sandwiches and onion rings, are great as well. Perfect place to fill your belly after a long day of fishing.

This place is a true gem. Fantastic thin crust pizza and burgers fried on the griddle. I eat here every time I’m in Jamaica Beach. They also deliver and are always very prompt and courteous. BYOB. I love this place!!!

If you are in Galveston the name Blue Water«Grill» would imply there is something from the water available. If this is your assumption — join the club. Don’t get me wrong, it was a funky find and the pizza is as good as the other reviewers described. The staff were young, so… not really on the ball with customer service.

Quirky little place on the West End of Galveston, offering a wide variety of items to eat at a reasonable price. They also deliver all the way to the western tip on Galveston, so that’s cool. BYOB!

Once again Blue Water Grill exceeded expectations! Tonight we had the medium pizza with double beef and double pepperoni and mushrooms. Service was friendly as usual with a smile. Bluewater Grill’s pizzas are thin crust just like we like it. Tonight’s pizza was square in shape with plenty of beef and pepperoni maybe even some extra mushrooms. One of their trade marks is not drowning the taste of the toppings with too much sauce. We feel the delicious taste is partially due to really fresh ingredients. Highly recommended tucked away in Jamaica Beach.

Gotta go with 5 stars after a second visit… this place is quirky and the food is delicious and the people are friendly… how is that NOT as good as it gets? We decided to head out here again for lunch and we were not disappointed; I had been wanting to try the pizza and of course hubby loves burgers, so since were down in Galveston anyway, it seemed like a no-brainer. They have redecorated a little and it looks great! The menus are now on the counter, instead of the big menu board. You can look it over there or go sit down and then head back up to the counter to order. Hubby got the bacon cheeseburger and fries for $ 9(I forget what number it was… the #3 maybe?) and I got the small cheese pizza for $ 7. Hey, I LIKE plain cheese pizza… don’t judge me! Instead of a number we got a little piece of paper with a word on it… which was so cool. Lunch and vocabulary all wrapped up in a quirky little place in Jamaica Beach? C’mon, that is just too cool! But would the food still be as good as the last time? YES! Yes, it was! They brought it out to us after not a long wait at all, but long enough to know that it was at least cooked; you know what I mean. Sometimes stuff comes out so quick you wonder if it was just microwaved… The pizza was so freaking delicious! Cheesy and hot and man that crust was just the perfect mix of crispy and chewy. Hubby’s fries were hot and plentiful and the hamburger was huge and juicy… or so he said. I was a little busy with my pizza at the time, but I was definitely making his own noises of contentment. I didn’t see any cupcakes this time though but maybe that’s more seasonal? It wasn’t very busy but it was the off season, too. So all in all, if you’re looking for good food and decent prices, go here! It’s only about 15 minutes from the seawall, and a neat drive at that… so worth it! OH! Our word was«lilting» which I thought was so pretty, but the couple behind us was explaining to their child that lilting meant you were tired(I think they meant wilting)…it would have been rude to turn around and correct them, right? But I feel sorry for that poor kid going around with incorrect information.
