Tokyo Express Japanese Grill

I grew up eatting at this exact location and its other location on western near food lion. I have to say for price and amount of food you get for express is amazing. I love the sweet carrots and I always forget closed sunday! I live in Georgia now so I miss my comfort food.

Love this place. The steak and shrimp is awesome! But the portion sizes have gotten smaller for the price you pay.

Good Hitachi take out and fast service. Friendly local business.

Great food alot of it. They have a lunch buffet for $ 5.75 its just all around good.

I can not comment on the interior of the place because I always get the drive up.
Food: This food is GREAT! Honestly it could stand to look a little better, but dont let that throw you off! It is seriously delicious.
I always get the Hibachi Steak and Mushrooms, which comes with a very large side of fried rice and a decent portion of hibachi steak with mushroom slices. The steak is amazingly tender! and it is perfectly grilled and juicy! The rice could stand a bit mroe seasoning, but once you mix it with the steak its jsut fine. The plate also comes with their famous glazed carrots. yumm… The carrots have a honey glaze and are amazing! I do wish they would under cook them a little bit so they were a bit crunchy. If you go for their lunch time they also give with your lunch a free sweet tea!.. the sauce. good lord.the SAUCE! every dish comes with this sauce. it doesnt taste fishy. or even shrimpy its just pure delicious! i cant even quite explain the taste, but it is so good that i end up pouring it all over the plate!
Overall, i think that every one should give this place, a majaority of the plates run about $ 7.50 which is quite a deal for the amoutn of food that you get!

This is the 2^nd location for Tokyo Express — in front of the new Lowes /​Walmart center on Yopp Rd. (Their original location is at 2222 Gum Branch.) I recommend their hibachi teriyaki chicken with rice, broccoli and carrots dish. I think it is great! Try the sauce provided with the meal. At lunch you can get free sweet tea with a meal. The wait staff is very attentive, offering refills, taking away your plate after you’re finished, etc.
