This consignment location has been around for years, and may or may not have had a big«closing» sign for the last several months-but it is in fact open, under new leadership, and hopefully a Mandarin fixture. There are some serious gems in there. On a trip home to Jax, my first visit to the store, I found an untouched green Dooney & Bourke bowling bag and a PERFECT vintage designer party dress. Plus some worthy jewelry, funky patterned beach dresses, very retro-trendy 90’s stuff, and much-needed(affordable) boat shoes. The selection was huge, and included a lot of very casual/very cheap finds. But ultimately it produced-honestly-the best consignment purchase I’ve ever made. My 80’s D&B bag is an unheard-of level of new, and I’m in love. My new vintage dress is that magical, sought-after mix of edgy, playful, and sophisticated; I’m also pretty sure it was $ 12. I mean, come on. Based on selection and price, this may be one of the better consignment offerings in Jacksonville period. It also may be a relative secret at this point in time, since it was advertising a closing that didn’t happen.(Also, the«kiddie go round» subtitle listed on Unilocal is misleading. There’s a small, well-appointed kids section but definitely more for women’s, men’s, jewelry/shoes/accessories, and home decorating.) At the risk of giving away my little secret, I want to encourage you to come in, maybe on your way to Whole Foods, with which this place shares a parking lot. Seriously, go on a treasure hunt!

The Round Robin Store on San Jose Blvd, DONTGOTHERE! Nancy is a rude person who never gets to others personal needs, she is not very sociable and she does not have the communication skills to be a retail manager. I brought 2 very nice ball gowns, a prom dress and a matching pair of heels to Round Robin and wound up pulling everything from the floor about 20 days later because I found out I was moving across the country. When I went to pull my items I could not find my heels. I explained to the cashier what they looked like, after searching the entire store for them, she told me she remembers selling them and when she sold them they didn’t link to my account. The cashier then explained to me how to go about collecting my money and how to get a hold of Nancy, the manager. She provided me with all of the information on the item and the price they were sold for. My heels were sold for $ 20, ever though I was told they would be put out for $ 25. I called Round Robin to get a hold of Nancy for two weeks. Every time I actually got her on the phone and explained to her who I was and why I was calling, conveniently I was disconnected, put on hold, or told«I have a customer problem, I will give you a call back» Needless to say, I was never called back. I finally went up to the store and spoke with Nancy in person. She then told me that Round Robin sold my heels for $ 10, they decided to put them on clearance, which in the contract states they can not do that until 30 days have pasted and the items have not been reentered by the customer, and after 60 the items are then donated to the store. Nancy then told me that she could give me $ 4 of the $ 10, BUT they charge $ 5 for the service, so I technically owe them $ 1. I owe them for selling MY shoes for less than half of the price I was told. Which is total BS because the cashier pulled it up in the system to told me SHE sold them, and remembers selling them for $ 20 and that I would be getting $ 10 back for them. These were $ 85 heels that were worn once. Worth WAY more than $ 25. Round Robin Consignment is a rip off, and the Manager /Store owner, Nancy, is a liar, a cheap, and a thief.
