For those of you that don’t know there are two separate entities to this company one of the storefront and one is the online catalog and warehouse. I bought some shoes online. They did not fit well. The receipt said they could be returned locally. I attempted to do this and the store refused. I called customer service and they basically said the storefront can do whatever they want. At the end of the day I got a partial refund and donated $ 15 to this company. I have since cancelled my account and will not shop there again. I guess this company does not understand that the only differentiation between them and another clothing store is their customer service because if they did they do a better job.

I love the Avenue because I’ve been shopping here for many years. It just sucks that most of their shirts aren’t long enough. The employees are pretty nice, I think it’s funny when they have skinny employees but, they don’t last too long. You have to be relatable, but they just can’t. Anyways, you can keep filling out the application for a Avenue credit card, rather approved or not you’ll still get 30% off of one item every time. Please get better deals, even their clearance isn’t clearance! But hey, that’s the price you pay when you’re out of shape. Happy Unilocaling…

Don’t shop without a coupon!!! Seriously. Plus size clothes are notoriously overpriced and Avenue is no different. If you shop here, you probably already know how the system works. If you get the store credit card you can earn reward points when you shop. Once you hit the magical limit, you get a $ 10 coupon. I use the card for the deals and points which helps cut down on costs. The store is always clean and nicely organized. All the staff are nice and will remember you if you shop often enough. My last visit was looking for some warmer clothes on the cheap. An employee started a dressing room for me once I had a few things in my hands and helped me look for a different size pair of jeans when I didn’t like how the first one fit. If you’re short(like me) or tall(like I wish I was), you’ll likely have to order bottoms online. They carry mostly average length pants and jeans in store, but petite and tall are available online. I’ll often try the size on in store for fit and then order the petite online. FYI when shopping online, some stuff is online only but you can return it in store if you don’t like the fit, size, etc. Frankly, I’ve always had a good experience shopping here, even when I don’t find what I’m looking for.

If you are a Plus-Sized Foodie such as myself, you will really like the cute and trendy fashion here at the Avenue sizes 14 to 32. The selection here is always good although the styles are just the slightest bit more reserved compared to Lane Bryant. The prices here are seemingly a little lower than Lane Bryant as well which I also appreciate in today’s not so shiny economy! The store has big dressing rooms, friendly size friendly sales staff and is very clean. I make the drive periodically out to the Mandarin area to see what new inventory this shop gets in about once every 2 months and the stock does revolve quickly bringing forth a nice clearance rack and good sales periodically. This shop is located right next to Panera Bread off San Jose in Mandarin.
