TGI Friday’s

We’ve been here twice. The first time I thought it was just an unlucky experience so I held off on my review. However, our second experience was just as bad as the first. The food is not the problem, what we received was good. But the first time we did not receive all of our food: our entrée came on top of our appetizer and we never reviewed salads. Our waiter then tried to bring us salads after we were halfway through our entrees and we told him we did not want them at that point. Both times we never received drink refills even though we requested them. It also took much longer than it should have to receive our food. We will not return to this location.

I came here with a friend when she received an email that endless apps where back. We brought both our families with us and had a wonderful night. Well as wonderful as you can with 3 kids under 4. Anyways we had a big booth that was able to fit all of us so I was happy about that. The endless appetizers was a great deal! Our server was a bit dense though. I don’t think he kept up with us well. I know its a lot but seriously he asked me what I ordered twice and was always late with refills and food. We ordered chips as an appetizer first and they didn’t come out till our food order come out… seriously. when we have kids we need food like NOW! I wish there service was quicker. but the restaurant itself was nice and big! Clean and inviting. They had tavs in some booths. It would have been nice of us but I think our party was a little too big. Also we were seated right away and there wasn’t much or a crowd.

Came with friends after seeing Deadpool and had a really good experience. We waited for a table for about 15 minutes, but since two other people in our party were still on their way it worked out well. Our waitress was really nice and though she was really swamped with tables she did a very good job of making sure we were taken care of, she was just really fast to the next thing, but did a great job.
I had a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and wow was it great. The chicken was well cooked, but not overcooked. It was tender, well seasoned and that sauce… my goodness it’s always so darned good.
Great visit, great company and Deadpool is a GREAT movie by the way!

Miss the 2 for 1 happy hour but they have added some drink specials. Love the give me more stripes program. Last visit was great. Jack Daniel’s chicken and shrimp is yummo!

Where is Jonathan??? This place has gone to hell… we arrived and literally waited for 10 mins and not ONE employee greeted us at all! It was on yesterday which was Sunday football… they were not busy in the dining area. I was very pissed at the level disrespectful employees. This is my favorite restaurant, but… I won’t be going back. That is unacceptable. We finally left and went to the one on Atlantic and had an awesome experience. Hey general manager, you need to do more training on customer service. #onehighlydisappointedcustomer

It is a shame, the wine bottle was opened before to come to my table. I do not accepted it. I was required and paid for that.

OK I like the food, the service is spotty. I like the ultimate bloody Mary and I know they have a recipe but it is different every time. 8 different to be exact. They are nice people but I don’t think they are managed well and consistency maintained. We got 2 orders of the same boneless chicken at the same time one was excellent and the other dried up and chalky. Got a Cobb salad twice and both times excellent. garlic chicken with cheese excellent once the next time blah!!. Lacks consistency.

Friday’s is always a classic. It’s my go-​to when not sure where to go for food and drinks. Good drink specials and food. Pot stickers and ribs are usually what I get. Along with some LI Tea’s…

Went with a friend and we decided to sit at the bar. Our bartender had attitude, but in a good way. She was keeping an eye on us because there was a guy who was trying to creep on us.
Anyway, atmosphere was very energized. My long islands were very strong. (It was bogo certain drinks which was awesome) I only ordered the fried green beans appetizer. So good! All in all good experience.

3 stars the food actually got better. I was disappointed in the service the waiter we had was nice and he was trying his hardest. It wasn’t his fault I think for Friday night they got busier than they expected. I think he was only one of like 3 servers for the whole restaurant tonight. Took a while to get drinks maybe 15 20 minutes. We ordered a glass of red wine we got white. The food took forever to come out maybe 30 minutes. I ordered a basket of fries that didn’t come out until the end of dinner. We waited another 20 minutes or so for desert. I think Friday’s was overwhelmed and understaffed.

To go order was horrible! Loaded potato skins were a joke thrown together and the tostada nachos were soggy-​nasty and nothing nacho about it.

Typical Friday’s. Bartender (the lady) was awesome and friendly. The guy took about 10 minutes to even acknowledge me sitting at the bar despite sitting down right in front of him. Food was okay. The bar itself is HUGE (giant horseshoe shaped).

My Cousin his lady Myself and my fiancé came here for drinks and we had a blast. Walked into the Saturday drink special (2 for 1) took in the NCAA tourney game and talked. Will be back whenever we are on the Southside.

The worst Friday’s I have ever been to. They should just close this one down. As long time Friday’s patrons this is the worst location I have ever been to. If I could give it less than 1 star I would as it does not even deserve the one.
The service was beyond slow. We ordered apps and we told the waitress that was was for my and my husband was having the never ending and she proceeding in lecturing us that we could not share and that we would get in trouble and blah blah blah. Im not a child… I do not need a lecture. Cocktails were two for one but being the responsible driving I chose a soft drink. It had no fizz at all. The glass was all wet like it had been sitting on the counter filled aged ago and I was not offered a straw. My husband ordered beer and both came at the same time so he had to chug one straight down to so the other would not be cold. I understand the two for one concept but what a way to give a person a fast buzz when they do not want one. We waited and waited for our apps and then the waitress said she was taking our menus. Gee we didnt have the option of ordering dinner. So we told her we wanted dinner. Everything took forever. When the apps came they were cold. They had been sitting too. As I said before we are frequent Friday’s guests so I know what it should taste like and the way it should be presented. As soon as the apps arrived our cold burgers arrived as well. Jack Danial’s burgers are always our favorite and these were GROSS !!! that is the best thing i can say about all of the food. To finally get of out check was like pulling teeth and then paying was even longer. The waitress was mad that we had points to pay for our dinners. Gee… we are good customers at OTHER locations and deserve our points. Sadly we wasted them at this location. It will NEVER happen again. AVOID at all costs !!!

I enjoy the pecan-​crusted chicken salad each time I visit. The food is not horrible but not the greatest either. Service has been friendly each time I’ve been in, no problems there. Always loud but that’s to be expected.
Best deals are on week nights and Sunday’s, as far as appetizers and drinks specials go.
A visit to this place is really only worth it if you can’t get the meal elsewhere and if you’re a stripes member.
Mention being a stripes member and you get free chips and salsa.

Four star for a Fridays?! James, are you drunk?! Yes. Don’t go here for the food. It sucks. It’s worse than other chain places I’ve been to. However, go here for the bar. It’s a huge horseshoe bar with tons of surrounding booths. The bartenders are friendly and the drink prices are OK. A good alternative to the Alehouse and Tinseltown bars. Sometimes I like just sitting at the bar and watching the game, you’re bound to meet someone here. Come on. it’s a freaking FRIDAYS!

Before heading to dinner at TGI Friday’s for a friend’s birthday the other night we all talked about how we hadn’t been to a TGI Friday’s in a long time. After this experience it’ll be quite a while before I go back.
We arrived right at 5pm on a Saturday and I was surprised how full the parking lot was. We walked up to the hostess station and there seemed to be some confusion or issue (maybe that should have tipped us off). One of the hostesses was taking people who had walked in just before us to a table while a second apologized probably 3 times and told us «someone would be right be with us» (we were only standing there for a few minutes total). When the first hostess came back, the second told her (as she walked us to towards the table) that the chart needed to be fixed (as I said, lots of confusion).
We were seated near the bar and given menus. We started to look at our menus and all three of us had picked out our entire meals but a waiter had yet to even stop at our table. I got up and went up to the hostess station to make sure someone knew we were there. As I was walking that way, our waiter finally showed up. Apparently he asked my friends if i’d told them what i wanted before i walked away. Like, really?
When I walked back to the table, his «apology» was «Yeah, I know, there are only two of us here tonight.» So… okay, then. We all ordered and when I ordered a drink rather than saying «hey, can I see your id?» he said «if you guys are going to order drinks, I need ids» like we were a bunch of idiots who should have thrown our ids at him (we’re all in our late 20s). He acted like we were bothering him every time he came over (which wasn’t often). Maybe everyone there was having a bad day but it was just a constant attitude, which was frustrating.
The food was fine, though the menu was a little confusing. We had looked up the menu online prior to arriving and I saw their current promotion that includes a handful of food and drink combinations for $ 10. The only place at the table this was listed was in the little drink book and the names of the included meals on the menu were different from the ones online for the same food (the promotion materials called what I ordered «sizzling citrus herb chicken» while the regular menu called the same meal «sizzling chicken and spinach.») That might be nit-​picking but it struck me as odd.
The chicken itself was okay, it was basically a plain grilled chicken breast with a sauce laid on top (I scraped most of the sauce off). It was served over spinach with a couple of mushrooms, a few slices of squash, and a pretty good sized tomato and mozzarella salad. I also got the light cosmo cooler, which was really good. The tomato/​mozzarella salad and the drink were easily the best parts of the meal.
The food was certainly not worth the production it took to get it. With so many superior options within a few minutes of this restaurant, I don’t understand how they can run the place like this. Not impressed.

A good place to catch a quick meal, a lot quieter than I thought it would be. My wife had the Beer Cheese Burger and she said it was very good. I had the Bruschetta Shrimp Pasta and it was excellent. The service was good but not great. just adequate.

About what you would expect from a chain restaurant. The service was good, the food was OK.
Ironically I wasn’t that hungry, so I didn’t get their all you can eat appetizer for $ 10. My single plate ended up costing me $ 11!!!
