The food here is usually good, but the spinach in the salad bar is sometime not good. Overall it’s decent.

I have grown up eating at Sonnys for over twenty years. Nothing has changed about this place. This location is super clean and enjoyable for the whole family. The food was just divine. I got the turkey lunch and it never fails. The turkey is thin and always taste so fresh and succulent. The wait staff are just awesome, also very genuine. Ask for Monica she was wonderful. This is one place in jax that is a chain yet I’m never disappointed. Nothing’s changed in my opinion. They did get an update though of the«look» of things and well it suits the times. Good job.

We went here for lunch and one thing is for certain — you get a LOT of food. Hubby got a three way platter — pulled pork, sliced pork and and ribs. The pulled pork and sliced pork were good but sadly the ribs were so tough he could barely get the meat off the bones. I had the beef brisket which was also good but it does have a very strong smoked flavor(a bit to much for my liking) The coleslaw was great and they have the biggest glasses of ice-tea I have ever seen. The inside of restaurant was very hot(it was only 84 degrees outside) and the place didn’t seem well kept, the tables weren’t overly clean and it just had an air of being a bit run down. They had a salad buffet and the food looked like it had been sitting there too long and we weren’t game to try it. It is an okay place if you like strong wood smoked meats. It cost $ 35.00 for our two meals.
