Sloppy joes bursting with flavor, steak fries are good onion rings good my six year old tore through the ribs like nothing I’ve seen before. If you like simple not fancy down home type food this is the place. Service also great

Called in here recently for a quick lunch, I had the 3 meat(turkey, beef and pork) Cheese fries and hubby went for the pulled pork sandwich. The fries were okay — hot and plentiful but I did find the meat a little to spicy for my liking. Hubby was disappointed with the pulled pork, it was sliced pork not pulled and he thought it tasted bland. The meat for both our meals was tender though. The one thing I didn’t like was the inside of the restaurant smelled REALLY smoky and it clung to our clothes and hair after we left(I ended up changing my clothes and having a shower when I got home because the smell was so strong) It you love smoky barbecue then this is the place for you.

Had family from out of state visiting, they choose this restaurant. After the party arrived, my wife and I arrived later. It took them 10 minutes to get our drink order, then, half an hour later, after the rest of the party received their food, the fellow decided to then try and get our food order in. At this point, I decided I would not order any food. I have never been treated so poorly and ignored so heavily in my life. I will never eat at cattleman’s ever.

Stopped in on a Tuesday around 1130 for an early lunch. One other customer. I ordered the chicken and rib combo. The meat was hot and tasted good. But I don’t think it was cooked today. Sides I choose was green beans and slaw. The beans were from a can but ok. The slaw was good, tasted like it came from SAMs Club, but it was good also. I will try it again during a busy time as I think the food would go from good to great during peak times. Older but clean place.

Yesterday was the second time the Red Hat, «Feathers R Us» came for a luncheon! We really enjoyed everything from the moment we walked in the door, until the moment we left. The Owners took good care of our very large group and did it very well. I got the Chicken(2 pieces) and sliced pork, baked beans, two pieces of Texas toast, a wonderful salad bar and coleslaw($ 11.50). I could only eat about half. I took the rest home for my husband to enjoy. This place is on Atlantic Blvd., across from the airfield on St. John’s Bluff, heading East, it’s on the right(in a strip mall). Every time I have been here, I have left very happy and satisfied. I highly recommend this place. Let me know what you think. Goldie
