Solid buffet place. Their sushi’s pretty decent, but be wary of the MSG that’s being loaded on most of the dishes.

Great Buffet with a wide selection of delicious food which included a variety of seafood, including shrimp, oysters, crawfish, fresh fish prepared a variety of ways, as well as the usual beef pork and chicken dishes. They have a Mongolian BBQ which is quite good as well which also included Seafood choices. All in all, hot and well prepared food, clean and beautiful restaurant. Good price. Great value. Cheapest daycare for husband… Drop him off with 15 bucks and you have yourself 2 hours free time!

I was really disappointed with this Sakura’s. I’ve been to other Sakura’s in West Palm Beach, and was hoping it was on the same level, but unfortunately it was not. The décor and entrance was very inviting and lovely, but that was pretty much it when it comes to the grand experience. Don’t get me wrong, there are tons and tons of options, however the food was very much average for a Chinese buffet and the wait staff the same. There is a sushi buffet but the options were doused in sauces, imitation meats, and creamed cheese. It didn’t look fresh and the taste was MEH :(… Nothing really to write home to Mom about. There is also a Hibachi bar, and while that tasted good and there was a good selection of veggies and meats, by the time I got there it no longer looked fresh, but more like it had been sitting out since the lunch crowd. As for the general buffet options, there are plenty including a reasonable amount of salads, cold bar, and desserts. But again the flavors were just okay. I would rather go to a smaller establishment were they focused on the quality rather than the quantity. Its one of those places were I’ve tried it, but I wont be rushing to

Gets the job done quite well if you are hungry and craving a variety of Asian food and sweet dessert. Great«AYCE» buffet as far as these establishments go. Good location in the strip mall on southeast corner of Atlantic and monument. Near Regency mall. I will return. It’s was somewhat dimly lit, but is large open and well decorated. Clean and tidy, no stickiness on carpets or tables. Lots of traffic and a diverse clientele. Appeals to a variety of tastes. I felt well after eating a considerable amount of food there. I don’t know what it would take for me to give 5 stars, but perhaps it’s just the stigma and bias these places receive in our society. Without that it would probably be 5…

I moved to our Pine Bluff community in Kingsland, Georgia during August 2015. The ONLY thing I miss from Ohio is the Chinese Buffet in Dublin, Ohio. I never thought I would find as good a buffet as the one I left back in the frigid north. Saturday night, I had dinner at the Sakura Buffet in Jacksonville. The décor is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, family oriented, and the food is absolutely outstanding in every respect. All of the people working there go above and beyond to take care of their guests. It’s an «all you can eat» buffet, and the variety is enormous, including all you can eat Sushi, which appeared very fresh, and the dessert buffet is… well, wear your extra large outfits that have plenty of room for expansion. ;-) The prices are a little less during the week, but even on Friday and Saturday, the value is phenomenal(see prices below.) Just wanted to share this with my neighbors. This place is a real treat. Sakura Buffet 9764 Atlantic Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida, 32225 (904)721−5363 Adults: $ 11.49 Child:(4 – 6) $ 5.99 Child:(7 – 10) $ 6.99

Not bad for an Asian buffets. This is probably the biggest and best ones here in Jacksonville Florida.

I don’t like buffets and this restaurant didn’t change my mind. Everything was meh. Service was a little less than meh. I’m not saying the food was horrible. It just had that oily, quick, questionable quality that buffets reek of. Generic taste made quickly for the quantity not the quality. But hey, it’s a buffet. Can you really expect any more than that?

The food is decent. The price is right. The staff is extremely friendly and they constantly sweep the floors and clean up so that’s a plus. They have a huge selection of food from French fries to sushi. They have pretty much all the go to Chinese food dishes like beef and broccoli, orange chicken, peppered beef. They also have fried rice and steak. The sushi is made right in front of you at the sushi bar. They are fast to bring out fresh food and keep the buffet full. They have a huge dessert bar also! Overall I’m happy with the place. I gave it 4 stars because the food wasn’t the most amazing but for 10 $ all you can eat I wasn’t expecting gourmet buffet food lol

I’ve been here multiple times and never had a bad experience. The quantity and quality of choices are amazing. My husband always has the sushi and he says this is the best buffet sushi he’s ever had. I tried a few pieces and I agree. Definitely fresh and tasty. I always go for lo mein and chicken. There are a ton of choices(honey, pepper, teriyaki, ect.) My very picky 5 year old even found something she liked. The staff are attentive and polite. This is the best Chinese Buffet in Jax hands down.

Clean, great staff, and hot food at 3:00pm. That, to me, says a lot about a buffet. Some of the items are sketchy at best. Shrimp tasted like fish — never a good sign. Egg rolls, not so great. The cream cheese ragoon was considerably sweeter than normal. Rice and noodles were not tasty. At all. Bland and dry, even when freshly put out. Sushi was on par though, pretty decent.

I am not a big buffet fan but I really enjoyed this place. first because it was Sunday after church dining busy so the food was turning over quickly. 4 rounds of grazing and of the items I tried didn’t find anything didn’t like — for the $ it’s great deal with plenty of options Asian, American, pizza — pork beef duck sausage sushi crawdads chicken plus all kinds hot cold veggies. 2 guys rolling sushi and nothing was sitting out long. finished off with couple trips thru dessert and soft serve ice cream bar perfect for only meal I needed for the day! sure to return but like all buffets– only when it’s busy busy

3.5 stars My significant other rated it a 4, and I rated it a 3.(4+3)÷2 = 3.5 stars Last time I went here, this place was just recently opened and they had a very good selection of decent quality food. So I was a bit disappointed when I saw the recent bad reviews of Sakura Buffet, and I was hesitant to return again. My wife was craving buffet, so we came here on a Wednesday afternoon. The sushi buffet is still pretty awesome. Is it as good as sushi at a real sushi restaurant? NO! But for a buffet, they are pretty darn good! I did notice that the size of the sushi was smaller than last time I visited, and it was not as fresh. They still have the shredded imitation crab and seaweed salad, which are both pretty expensive at real sushi restaurants. They also had cocktail shrimps, oysters, and crawfishes. For the other food at the buffet bar, you have pretty much a 50⁄50 chance of finding something good. I sampled a bunch of different food from chicken wings, sesame balls, orange chicken look-alike, beef with broccoli, Chinese dumplings, etc. Many of the items felt like they had been there for a while and are not very good, especially the fried items. They do have a lady walking around to make sure that the buffet stations were clean and bringing out new food periodically. Overall, for a Wednesday afternoon service, the food was not too bad, and we were satisfied. It was also very cheap! It only costs the two of us $ 16 including tax, and we probably ate $ 30 worth of sushi alone! This place is perfect for a baller on a budget. I would assume that the selection and quality of food would be better if you came on Friday or Saturday night(that’s when they usually have ducks!). So if you’re trying this restaurant out for the first time, come on a Friday/Saturday evening!

On the whole I really rarely dish out 1 and 2 star ratings as I’d like to think that I take all things into consideration when writing a review. The food for me is now firmly in 1 star territory, but the rapid seating and accommodating staff pull it up into 2 star territory. I happened to visit this buffet one second and final time when I was in the area and the day had got away from me and my stomach was growling threateningly. Unfortunately, I arrived hungry and left hungry. Firstly, I want to say that the staff here are really wonderful and appear to work very hard to balance out the lackluster buffet, however there doesn’t appear to be enough staff to go around and drinks take a while to get topped up. As I entered the main doors I noticed that the broken decorative ceramic fish in the water feature were still there weeks after I first saw them. That combined with a strong odour of unmaintained fishtank further convinces me that they’re neglecting to properly clean and maintain the entrance. Overall, the quality of the buffet food has dramatically decreased: the sushi quality has plummeted, they’re still not de-veining the shrimp and the food is a mix of undercooked and overcooked; plates and soup bowls are not being kept stocked; insects were buzzing around the chilled and sweet offerings and there was a markedly strong and unappealing odour creeping in the rear from either the dustbins or something unknown. I hear that crews come in to help set up a new restaurant location and get it off to a flying start and then move on to the next new starter, and believe that this has happened to Sakura as the decline has been dramatic. Honestly, as much as I hate to say it, you’d probably get a better buffet experience driving a little further and visiting the food trough of a GC.

As Sakura Buffet lived up to the news-worthy legends of Asian buffets with culinary red flags on every counter, I was surprised to see this venue in operation in the modern day. Did someone payoff the city health inspector working this area? Were the red flags not glaring enough like the ones at JAX Beach before storms or when geo-trackable great white sharks with cute names come to visit? I was lost on this, but managed to survive on cookies and… two Advils, later on. Attractively decorated in mixed lighting schemes devised to give the impression of a cool modern restaurant, the large pump bottles of cheap hand sanitizers from Sam’s at three points of the entrance should have told me something was up. Once we were seated in the rows of 1960’s dining room furniture, possibly salvaged from an old Sears store lunch room, I noted there were no menus. Just the sparkling buffet and basic fountain drinks… no beer, wine, water, or vodka(internal sanitizers)… Walking around the buffet area, I could barely contain myself from laughing at the ridiculous displays of food… uh, let’s not call it that, yet… such as the stuffed gray mounds of bread drowned in oil and pepper with shrimp tails sticking out, but neatly arranged in order for your service under glaring heat lamps. Then there was the open salad bar with mixed salads floating in pools of dressing and the funky chicken parts in a red sauce masquerading as BBQ. Besides the conspicuous lack of cleanliness applied to anything there, the capital offense to an experienced diner like me was the make-your-own-stir-fry section featuring open pans of uncooked vegetables and meat. While it was gathering successive generations of bacteria for my enjoyment, I noted that I had to get closer to observe the commander of the stir-fry section work his modest magic. Another funny place was the carve-your-own-meet table. Here, one had a chance to carve as much over cooked pork and chicken as they wanted. I tasted the pork, but then I wasn’t sure it was either pork or a side of beef, but it was gray and swimming in oily water… oh, they call that gravy here. In any bad culinary situation, I look to the desserts as way out, but all I could find here were hard chocolate chips and thin brownies as the serve yourself ice cream only had barely recognizable chocolate, vanilla, and worse. Remarkably, the service was good because all the waitress did was clear the table and bring soft drinks. In the end, we happily left this cheap Asian-style disaster waiting to happen. It was my impression that nobody at the Sakura Buffet had read the basic restaurant industry standards of cleanliness in ServSafe, let alone adhered to the tenets of any known restaurant service. While I noted the positive Unilocal reviews of this place in general, which drew me to it, I will attend other venues in the future.

Now I must admit, I am not a buffet fan at all so how my brother got me to cave in to coming here is beyond me! But surprisingly it wasn’t that bad. The ambiance is beautiful, the food selection is vast, the food itself is decent,(I had a few things I really liked and a few things I really didn’t like) the price is great and the dining room is clean. Besides the few items I disliked, I also disliked our server. Its crazy how one can dislike a server at a buffet but darn it anything is possible. I didn’t catch her name but she was extremely overbearing and rather rude which turned an otherwise pleasant lunch not so pleasant! Would I return? Sure. Is it the first thing on my list? Not so much. Bad service and good food still leaves a bad taste in my mouth!

Not a fan. From the start things were no good. The place was empty when we(5 of us) arrived, and we had about 8 more family members meeting us for lunch. Staff would not allow us to put tables together, and worse, they said they could not guarantee that we would be able to sit together. The place was empty! And the whole time we were there tables were seated, but the place wasn’t packed! So we sat at two tables. Fine. Two of us had a coupon that had a free adult meal with the purchase of 5 or something. We were told we could not use two coupons(even with separate checks) because we were one table! –_– Yes, after they refused to let us sit at one table together, and basically told us we may not even be able to sit at tables near eachother. Food was either meh or «no way». I meant he «fresh» sushi had slimey looking cucumber in it! How does one think it is ok to put slimey cucumber in a sushi roll… would they feed their family like that?! Overall, I didn’t like the place. Service was not nice and the food wasn’t yummy to me. The only thing it has going for it is the price.

Walk in and you’re transported to a world full of food glorious food. From BBQ ribs to salads and a variety of sushi and even a full hibachi grill there is everything available even for a picky eater. Enjoy crawfish on ice and several other seafood dishes. Needed several trips to taste everything. Nice little hint is to use a soup bowl for the soft-serve ice cream!(if you still have room that is) Very clean restaurant and the buffet is constantly being refreshed. Certainly hope to be back with or without a coupon. Even gave us a Christmas gift on the way out – a nice 2015 scroll wall calendar.
