Great sushi for a great price! I was so shocked at how cheap it was, and the waiter was very nice and actually spoke understandable English! The sushi chef cut up a pineapple for us for«dessert» on the house, very nice!

This location is significantly smaller than their other location which I actually enjoyed. The servers we interacted with we’re all kind. Almost overly attentive, but again better than being ignored. The food was great, I had the teriyaki salmon with white rice, ginger salad, clear soup, and fried gyoza. Based on my personal experience I would have given this place 4 stars. BUT! My husbands experience was not quite the same. He ordered several sashimi orders. Many of the fish he requested were unavailable. The manager/owner addressed the issues with him. The fact that they didn’t have them isn’t what made them lose a star. It’s the fact that she recommending alternates that«tastes similar» when in fact they aren’t even in the same fish family. My husband is a former sushi chef, she doesn’t know that and I don’t hold that against her. I would hate for someone who is not as experienced with sushi to be told something tastes the same when it’s a completely different.

This is a quiet little sushi place with only about 10 tables. Sushi was delicious… Definitely top 5 in sushi restaurants in Jacksonville(and I eat ALOT of sushi!) Service was fantastic as well, and the owner even came and introduced herself. Keep in mind, we had dinner at 830 on a Saturday night too! Prices were VERY reasonable. My fiancé and I ordered 5 rolls(we were hungry!), a large hot saki and a glass of wine and spent a little less than $ 60. That’s $ 20 cheaper than our average sushi bill when we go out. Overall great experience, we will be back!

This is my second time here & if I would have realized before I got here that this was a place I have been to before I wouldn’t have came. I stopped by here during lunch time and we wanted to get something off the regular menu but for some reason the waitress kept referring me to the lunch special. I went ahead and picked two rolls from the special instead of just getting the one roll that I wanted and ended up not liking one of the rolls. I asked if I could switch the roll out and the manger said no.(What restaurant have you ate at that does not allow you to switch out your food if you don’t like it) then I said just go ahead and remove that roll off my ticket then and she had an attitude about that. This is one place that I would never go to again. I should have stuck to what I knew and kept going to my regular sushi place(crazy sushi). I am confused as to why the place is rated so highly, the sushi is mediocre and the customer service is horrible. I do not recommend this place at all.

1st visit, recommendation from client 5÷22÷16. Atmosphere was clean & well organized. Tables on both sides with smaller couples seating in the center leading to the sushi bar where I chose to sit. The assortments are extensive but like any 1st sushi visit I stuck to my quality level checker & ordered: Sushi regular with yellowtail roll &2 Tobiko. Prep didn’t not take long & presentation was very good. Quality of sushi/fish — very good & soy sauce was on point! From what I’ve tasted, I truly enjoyed the experience & will return to taste other flavors! .5 of 5(3.5 of 5)

The real deal Holyfield! This place had quite an assortment of sushi, sashimi, nagiri, all dishes Japanese. I had three rolls– crazy, volcano, and the house roll. All were very fresh, and were reasonably priced. Rolls go from about $ 4-$ 11. Something for everyone, plus they give you slices of pineapple as a freebie after the meal. I was caught between 4 star and 5, but the pineapple bumped it up. Service was good, friendly staff, probably one of the best sushi spots in Jacksonville.

I have been traveling to Jacksonville for the past 15 weeks for work and have been sampling many different sushi places. I have to say, this place was my favorite by far. The sushi is fresh and traditional — not that cooked or heavy mayo Amero-sushi that so many places now make. Try their Fuji Special Roll, it is a piece of art and delicious.

I usually go to the other FUJI sushi on beach or San Jose… This one is closer to my house but it is not the same. It’s not all you can eat. I came here for lunch and ordered about half of what I normally have at the all you can eat places and ended up spending more money. Because it isn’t all you can eat, I expected the quality to be better… I was wrong. Won’t be returning.

Found this place on Unilocal and it was walking distance from where I was at the time. It was lunchtime on a Saturday and I was the second customer inside the place but soon after most of the tables were filled up fast. Service was very friendly and a good attentive server helped me the entire visit. The food was not prepared extremely fast but it was worth the wait for what was brought out to my table. The place seemed modern and clean. Miso soup came out first and it was average compared to others I’ve had. I decided to go with the $ 10.95 lunch special that had you choose three rolls out of more than a dozen choices. The spicy tuna, white tuna, & salmon rolls were very good. I ordered a black dragon roll also which was different than I was used to but was tasty. The best of what I had was the individual sushi pieces that I ordered last. Nice big pieces and very inexpensive as well. I also ordered the Fuji roll & Godzilla roll to go for a friend at work. He said the Fuji roll was excellent! They also had a great selection of Japanese beers in the bottle. Good prices and great service makes this place a good find for getting your sushi on. I’ll be back when in town again!

I was a regular at the Fuji Sushi on San Marco(my fave location). I pretty much thought they were the same but they have their differences. I met a co worker here and the atmosphere is really cramped… It’s narrow and you can see everything from anywhere you stand in the building. Our waitress was very sweet and knowledgable(the only reason I gave it 3 stars). Even though there wasn’t that many people in here our food took about 25 minutes to come out. The steak that I got in my bento box was really tough, I didn’t eat it. The best thing in the box were the two shrimp dumplings. My co worker enjoyed his food though, I guess that’s all that matters. I’m a Fujiyama type of lady! I think they’re perfect… So if you’re up for the drive I would say that your stomach will thank you that day! Happy Unilocaling…

This is a «Hidden Gem» of a place. I used to pick up dinner here before going from one job to another. They are kind, caring, fast and efficient. The prices are good, the food and atmosphere is excellent. It is a very small place to dine, so you can expect a short wait. I brought my step daughter here and she loved the place. We sat at the sushi bar. She enjoyed the chefs making the different kinds of sushi. Tonight, I introduced my friend, Barbara to this place. She loves it. She had sushi and wine. We shared a bowl of edeminie. It was warm and good. I had the dinner bento box with white steamed rice, soup and a salad with ginger dressing. I also had a small hot sake. The waitresses checked in is many times. I have never been disappointed in this place!

By far one of my favorite sushi joints. It’s small, but quaint and friendly. It doesn’t look like much from the outside so I passed it by several times until a friend recommended it. Now I’m hooked! Love the seaweed salad, hot saki, and Fuji special roll! Yum yum.

Been here many times and the sushi is always fresh! The staff is very friendly and we never have to wait for anything. We always have sushi with clear soup and tempura to start. The dynamite roll is a must! We usually have a Philadelphia roll(cream cheese, yes!) and a veggie roll of some type… the avocado roll is a favorite. No matter what you order, it’s served with a smile… and if you’re there for dinner you’ll get a pineapple boat from the chef!

Staffs are all really nice and attentive. The atmosphere is semi modern. I love the variety of this place. It not just sushi. They have bento boxes. All source of salads and they have udon noodles. The seafood was pretty fresh. Waiting time wasn’t to bad either. However, we came at a good time. While we were in the middle of our dinner people were coming in nonstop. This place is the spot! Wish it was a little bit bigger. Overall, I recommend the sashimi or any raw sushi combo. Every fresh. The udon portions are big a while. It’s definitely worth a try!

The only thing I love more then sushi is GOOD sushi. And thats why I keep coming back to fuji sushi. I have both eaten here, and ordered take out and its consistently yummy. My two favorite rolls are the Dynamite roll and the spicy shrimp tempura roll. I ventured off once and ordered their fried rice which I wasn’t a fan of, the vegetable tempura and the sauce that comes along with it is a thumbs up and their yaki soba is bomb! The inside of Fuji Sushi is cozy, the employees are kind and attentive, the food is good and its close so I I’m a fan.
