Good lunch special. This was my first time here. Its quite and nice. Unilocal has the location wrong on the map. This place is in the same shopping center as Woodys, La Nopalera and Pure Night Club.

It was recommended to choose this restaurant for delivery. The pricing was a little higher than I’d like to pay~about $ 20 for two rolls. Truly that’s about what you would pay normally for decent sushi. The sushi arrived in about 40 minutes and it was delicious! It. American with plenty of sauces and yumyum sauce which usually you have to ask for. I was stuffed after about a roll and ended up sharing the rest. I cannot wait to sit and dine in house!

I have loved this place since it opened 3 years ago. Sue is so sweet and gives customers a wonderful experience each time. She is one of the many reasons why this restaurant is one of my favorites.

I recently moved from the area, but really miss this restaurant. The service is swift and courteous and the owners check on the guests personally on a regular basis. The quality of the food is typical for the area, but this place has above average clear soup. I would also recommend the crispy roll and the kamakazi, my favorites and they are delicious.

This is one of those hole in the wall ethnic food restaurants where when you walk in, you every well may be the only one in there — I was — I assume they do a lot of take out. Anyway, the place is clean, although the decors is lacking and they play this awful soft-jazz muzak, all of which gives it place a sorta cheap feeling. That all said, the good — better than average I would say — but not superb. They do have a $ 20.95 all you can eat special(dine in only) that comes with the warning«Any left overs will be charged.» *shrug*

This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. My wife, our daughter, and I came in around 6pm and there was only one couple in there at the time. We both ordered the ayce menu and everything we ordered was terrible. The edamame beans were under cooked and hard. My daughter will usually eat two bowls by herself and barely ate 10 beans. I ordered chicken fried rice and my wife ordered the chicken hibachi and the chicken was dry and chewy. We got our sushi rolls and tried at least two pieces from each roll and not a single roll was good. The service was terrible. They refilled drinks one time and when they noticed we had stopped eating they avoided us for at least 15 minutes before I said something. The lady walked over and said what’s wrong and I told her nicely that nothing we had was good and she argued with me. She said no no no this is all very popular. Everyone likes it. I said it didn’t matter if everyone liked it we didn’t like any of it. I said it is what it is. I would just like the check so we can leave. She brought the check with an extra charge because we left food on the plate!!! Of course we did because it wasn’t good. I was so fed up at this point I gave her my card so we could just leave. When I was signing the receipt she had the nerve to walk by with sushi another table ordered and said see look everyone likes it. They ordered it. I was astonished and asked for the manager I was told I could call tomorrow to talk to him. Stay away from this horrid place with terrible food, horrendous service, and no care for the customer.

I am honestly surprised that this place is empty every time I go there to eat. Everything is high quality, and I never leave disappointed. I feel like if the location was better, this place would have a lot more customers, but I feel like it gets overshadowed by La Nop next door(which is pretty meh to me, but that’s for another review). This place has one of the best deals I’ve ever seen; all you can eat sushi, hibachi, and appetizers. Granted, you’ll want to be super hungry if you order that because it’s hard for me to eat a full $ 20 worth of food. However, I do like the wide selection of sushi and the fact that I can even get a hibachi dish if I want. The people I assume to be the owners are so nice and attentive(but that might be due to the empty restaurant). Anyways, it’s a shame that this place isn’t more popular because they provide a good variety and good prices. If you come here, please advised your friends to try it as well! You won’t be disappointed and it’s a lot better and tastier than the basic restaurant next door(I’m looking at you, La Nop). We will be back and Sake just found themselves a couple of regulars!(:

I absolutely love this place. So many different types of sushi to choose from. All you can eat deal is awesome. Try the sweet girl and rose rolls.

So good! They have some really good lunch specials! I get the avocado and cucumber roll and the sweet potato roll. Both are awesome and always fresh. A few times I’ve been there and the staff has been super rude, but a majority of the time they’ve been great. If you’re in the baymeadows area this is a good spot. However, restaurant could use a little updating. Hence 3 stars for the inconsistent service and needed update/maybe deep cleaning. But food is consistently good.

Being a «All You Can Eat» Sushi only snob. And moving from south Fl. (Where all you can eat is plentiful) To North Fl. I needed a place to get my Fix. «Sake Sushi» is the place. It is clean, friendly, and the Fish is Super Fresh. If all you can eat is what you are looking for, Sake Sushi is the place !!! P. S. I would of gave it 5 stars, if they wouldn’t have had CNN News on the TV’s

When I first walked in I was a little hesitant it was a small place and one other person was in there. We sat and waited 5 min to be asked our drink order despite there was no one in there. Then we got rolling my wife and I order the ayce menu and damn there is alot of options for 22 a person some sushi isint there but for what ur paying you will get more than your moneys worth. Everything we ordered was made right then and there for us no long lags or delays after you order something like some restaurants do(hooters). All the sushi was fresh and very good quality I was surprised expected a little less quality.

My sushi addiction has led to irreversible long-term damages, namely resentment in relationships due to my refusal to try other places and mercury poisoning. Like others afflicted with this condition, we all have our favorite sushi joint, probably backed up with dogmatic views on what makes it perfect. Welp, I’m no different. For example, there’s a few sushi joints in Jax that have a cult-like following. But I’ll just call them *Tasty* Sushi and *Psycho* Sushi. *Names have been poorly changed to protect the guilty.* I was reluctant to try Sake Sushi. I drank the Kool Aid elsewhere. My man friend suggested it on a whim. Hey, it was close. Much closer than my beloved Chizu. Cross-referencing Google Places, Unilocal, and Urbanspoon offered no feedback because it was new. I mean, with so many other options available in Jax or in general for sushi, what really sets them apart? For the most part, prices are competitive across the board. It is expensive and frustrating whenever you get bad sushi. Because that atrocities happens. Like when the chef drowns a roll in sauce to disguise old tuna, then denies it. Nuggets of fish, rivaling oxidized ground beef. Rice reminiscent of Rice Krispies or porridge. Ew, no. So factor out price. So it just comes down to service, quality, and execution. Profound, I know. Sake Sushi NAILS that trifecta. It is my absolute favorite sushi joint. + Service [Disclaimer: I get it. Maybe it’s a cultural thing, being Asian myself, but Asian women that work FOH are not typically the-in-your-face, gregarious or assertive types. This ain’t Moe’s. Instead they usually lean towards more reserved and soft-spoken and there’s nothing wrong with that. HOWEVER, there’s a huge difference between that and standoffish, being mute, or just plain awful at your job. I have taken to eating at the sushi bar to ease the pain of being torn between top-notch sushi and the disappointment of dismal service.] But NOPE, not here! I only sit at the sushi bar for their all-you-can-eat special($ 20/person) as I like shoveling things down my gullet as quickly and efficiently as possible, and also to avoid burdening our server to meet the speed our ravenous appetites. The owner’s wife is the epitome of the perfect host/server and the reason I stopped wasting my time & money elsewhere… *Cazu*, *Tasty* Sushi. She’s incredibly sweet, welcoming, personable, attentive. + Quality/Execution The owner is just as awesome as his wife. Adept at what he does. I’ve never had a bad roll ever. I do love fancy frou frou rolls from time to time. Usually I’m boring. I always order either charashi or salmon avocado rolls. But even though it’s simple, he nails the basics. A generous chunk of fresh salmon, buttery ripe avocado, and perfectly cooked rice. Rice to filling ratio, done right. None of that seaweed log o’ rice bs found here. If the sushi chef nails the most seemingly simplest of items… Just take my money! All of it. After eons of disappointment, Sake Sushi has redefined my expectations and set the bar high for all sushi joints. I go here exclusively for sushi. I have had the tempura and hibachi which are also bomb. Never greasy nor overcooked. They actually know what medium rare means, maybe some people don’t understand what they’re ordering. Other deets: The restaurant is large, with usually a few booths taken. Location is key, but is compromised by visibility. While it is at a major intersection, it is tucked away and difficult to see. Most people that go to this plaza are there to visit La Nopalera. I’ve been going to Sake Sushi for several years now. I was hesitant about writing this review, only because I selfishly wanted to keep this gem a secret, much like their fried Oreos, but that’s really doing no one any good. Check them out!

Good service. Good food and i love the all you can eat for 21 dlls. Just write down what you order when in a large group. We were about 20 people and i went by my list to get all i order. Subsequently i went with my daughter, wife, son in law and grandbaby and service was excellent. Food is great. I order a spider roll and it was 10 pieces about 1 inch thick each piece. Tempura is much better than other restaurants. Main thing is not grease. Highly recomendable

Service was ok. Everyone else’s food was good. The tempura was a bit greasier than I am used to. And the steak was was a little colder and much more raw than I’m used to. I ordered the steak hibachi lunch, medium rare. Not lukewarm/cold and completely uncooked. On top of that, they either forgot to put in my food or they forgot to cook it. I got my food about 10 min later than everyone else after being asked what I ordered by 3 different people. I just had them box up my replacement meal. Basically, I sat there for an hour so I could eat appetizers and get a to-go. The ginger dressing was nice and I liked the clear soup. It wasn’t greasy like so many other places. I won’t be back and I don’t recommend it.

This place was huge compared to the other sushi restaurants. A lot of space and it looks like they can even add more tables if they need too. Came in with a very large party(10+) and they were able to accommodate us easily. They have an ALLYOUCANEAT menu from appetizers to sushi to the hibachi grill. A very large selection and it’s a good deal, if you can a lot of sushi(which I can). The specialty rolls(I think #26 to #33) you can order one roll per person. I ordered the Chicken Tempura and Veggies, Rainbow Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll to start with. My fiancé ordered Shrimp Tempura and veggies, Golden Dragon Roll, Banana Roll, Chicken Fried Rice, and Miso Soup. The Chicken Tempura and Veggies(and shrimp) were really good. Three pieces of chicken(and shrimp), 1 mushroom, 1 broccoli, 1 onion, &1 sweet potato. Very nicely portioned and well cooked. Very crispy and tasty. Nothing soggy. Goes perfect with the tempura sauce of course. Rainbow roll was very well presented. Different colors represented the different raw fish used. A very good amount. Very delicious. :) Golden dragon roll was really good. I recommend it with the rainbow roll. It’s probably the top specialty to choose first as well. Banana roll wasn’t too bad. It’s basically fried banana in a roll. It actually reminds me when my grandmother used to make the banana rice wrapped in banana leaves and steamed. The memories :) I only tasted a spoon of the fried rice because I was very close to reaching my FULL mark. I thought it was a little bit tasteless but maybe it’s because I had so many sushi flavors in my mouth? Maybe. I was waiting for my Shrimp Tempura roll and the waitress forgot to put in my order. At this time, I’m pretty stuffed but I ordered anyways. There were 5 pieces but well filled. Very good. Overall, this place was awesome. Would love to come back with friends and family. This will make your day.

I can’t believe I have never been here before! This place was really good and I most definitely see myself coming back over and over again. Came in with the whole family(15 adults/2 kids) for a small celebration on a Thursday night. Of course with such a huge party we got tables put together and had one super awesome long table. Once it was decided that it would be easier to order off the all you can eat menu, ordering commenced! The food and portions on the all you can eat were amazing!!! I really thought that the rolls would be skimped on, or presentation would be sub par but I was seriously impressed with how neat the plating was for everyone’s individual order. I also have to say that be-careful! The portions are huge on the non-sushi items! I ordered the chicken tempura appetizer which came out after my rolls but I didn’t care because we were such a large party that I was okay with them bringing the food as it came out. The chicken tempura was well fried, crispy and full of panko crumbs! I also got a chicken hibachi off the AYCE menu and was blown away by the amount I received. The veggies were very well cooked(not too soggy or mushy, just the right amount of crisp) and the chicken itself was very tasty! Very good flavor and seasoning. My only complaint I guess would be that the veggie chunks were a bit bigger than I’m used to but it didn’t stop me from eating up the whole plate with my 3 year old. I also got chicken tempura rolls which were very very good! I didn’t leave a single crumb! I also got a California roll which was pretty standard but none the less, tasty! What I really liked about the sushi rolls is that they had a perfect amount of rice. Not too much but not too little and the filling was visible. Often times I go to other restaurants and the filling is almost non-existent so I was very happy with their rolls. I also got an order of noodles, which were probably the only thing I wasn’t too crazy about. They weren’t stir fried enough so they were a bit soft/mushy. However that did not stop my child from eating the whole plate of them by herself! The chicken fried rice was really good! It had chunks of chicken, and I was really surprised by how the quality was most definitely not skimped on it either. It had the perfect fried rice texture that I love, like when it’s cooked on a grill at those restaurants that cook in front of you. Perfect! For us being such a large group everything went pretty well. Only thing that happened was that they gave my grandparents my uncles order but in their defense it was a very similar order. So if you go in a large party group be sure to listen out for your food when it’s brought out. The food didn’t take very long to come out and non of us were waiting around for re-orders or anything. They were very proactive in meeting our needs, smiled and were so kind the whole time. Honestly we all left happy and with smiles on our faces and to satisfy a huge family like ours is no easy feat! Also, to those of you who are scared anout being charged for extra food, I had about half plates of a few things(rice, sushi roll, and tempura veggies) and they were kind enough to offer me a box to bring my leftovers in. I didn’t have any whole rolls or an exaggerated amount of food left over and I also didn’t order anymore food after that. They did not charge us anything to bring the food home. I thought that was very kind and awesome customer service! I definitely say this place warrants a visit! I most definitely will be back! Happy eating!

Went here on my Birthday, which also happened to be Super bowl Sunday. service was great, and the food was delish! I’m not sure if it was because I was busy talking to my male company, but I didn’t take any pictures of the FOUR sushi rolls and the scallop and steak hibachi meal we had! the miso soup was really really good!

About a month ago I have been searching for a great a sushi spot. I know very little of Sushi outside of California Roll and the Shrimp Tempura, but I must say their Shrimp Tempura is the best I’ve had so far. I’ve also tried the Boston and Avocado Roll and it’s wasn’t for me. The customer service is great! I always seem to come later at night right before closing and you’d think I’d get rushed service to get me out of there, but no! Out of the six or seven times I’ve been here I haven’t had one bad experience.
