Finding parking can be a bear but other than that this little place is wonderful! The food is good the bartenders are nice. Sitting outside is the best option on a nice day. Weekends are very busy but it’s worth the wait. They have amazing chicken tenders!

Went here for happy hour and sat on the patio — it is a great location and service was good. It was a larger group of people and we ordered some appetizers — the fried pickles were great, the rest of the apps were unmemorable. Great outside spot!

Ordered spicy fried pickles, corned beef and cabbage panini, Irish nachos, and scotch eggs! The panini was a bit over toasted and too crunchy, but everything else was delicious! Wished the proportions were a bit more since it was all $ 24 and I’m still hungry! But I Would definitely come again! I sat outside and there was warmers during the winter time, and two TVs at the outside bar. Plenty of room, tables and chairs!

Great spot. Good outdoor seating. Was in town from NY for a week and came here two days in a row. Definitely recommend hitting this spot when you’re in Five Points.

A long overdue updated review. I go to O’Brothers a LOT — I live super close by. I’ve always kind of believed in having a bar in your neighborhood that is ‘your’ bar. The place you always end up one way or the other when you swear you were gonna try something new. And that’s certainly not a bad thing. That’s what O’Bros is to me. Great space both inside and out, and the patio is always super nice to relax on when weather permits. They are fine with dogs on the covered part of the patio too which is nice so you don’t have to sit right on the street. One thing they do really well is hiring staff — literally all of the servers and bartenders are super nice and good and that does a lot to cultivate the ‘neighborhood’ feel of the pub. They are usually pretty quick too. Now for the catalyst of this update — O’Bros recently switched to a new food menu. A lot of things are gone, and the things that aren’t are now very small. The Fish and Chips is now more like fish nuggets. I don’t even think it’s possible to order a whole sandwich(only halves). Now, the food is still really good, and it’s priced accordingly. But in my opinion, it’s just weird to do tapas style food at an Irish pub. When I think eating at an Irish pub, I think of big burgers and huge plates of fish and chips. That being said, one of the bartenders once told me the vast majority of sales there comes from drinks, so I’m sure it made financial sense to move to smaller platters that would make people more likely to plunge on. And that is great for them if it’s helping the business. It just sucks as someone who loves the restaurant and goes there for actual meals at times. This was actually going to be a 4 star review due to the weird menu, but this weekend changed my mind. I was there on Saturday and was actually just going to grab a beer and enjoy the patio before going to RAM. It was a beautiful day, so ended up staying for a couple beers and a snack as well. Problem is, the restaurant was SLAMMED because of how nice it was outside. We were clearly not the only ones with the patio idea on this day. I’m guessing they probably don’t staff as many people as they needed since O’Bros is definitely most busy later at night. But, the show must go on and the servers were handling it well. Problem is, our food took over an hour to come out(just easy fried stuff). I wasn’t complaining — it was super nice out and as a former server I understand 100% an unexpected full house. Still, I was crazy hungry and just wanted to eat. The server came over multiple times to say she was trying to get it out ASAP, so it was nice to know she hadn’t forgotten. When the bill came, not only was our food not on there, but a round of drinks was gone too. Since we had ordered the missing round from a different server, I assumed she may have missed it and we didn’t want a server to have the use their money to settle it later. Mentioned it to her and she said no it was done on purpose. Made our bill cheap and was a very classy move. Didn’t ask for it or anything, and they see me there enough to know I’m going to come back regardless. That is what was so cool about it though — it definitely makes sense to try to keep a new customer coming back, but as I mentioned I would be anyways. They lost a few dollars but when treat your customers so well, they will do your advertising for you. Cheer O’Bros.

Great place to watch sports. Lots of tvs all over the place. Several beers on tap, including my favorite Dukes brown ale. Also lots of drink specials. Very much a friendly local pub!

I live on the other side of town, but I make it over to O’Bro’s when I can. They’ve really got a good thing going. The OGB(One Great Burger) is a definite win. The drinks are stiff and the staff are all friendly. Located in the heart of Jacksonville’s Five Points district, O’Brother’s is walking distance from so many awesome local shops, dives and boutiques. They also support a lot of causes in the local community. I like to support establishments that support me. If you like Irish comfort food, good people and stiff drinks, this is a joint you want to visit.

This is my Go-To bar for outside drinking. The bar is right off the side walk, plenty of outdoor seating. Casual, easy going. Nice staff. A comfortable place whether you’re alone or with friends. Great place for afternoon and late night drinking.

Visited last night for trivia. Noticeable changes have been made. The tomato soup I used to get is no longer on the menu so I went with the fish and chips, large order. Everything came out tasting pretty good except the curry sauce. It needs some help. Other options included spinach and artichoke dip(with fried tortilla«chips,» fancy) and fish tacos(awesome slaw and these were also different from previous visit). Was hungry enough for dessert and got both options. The bread pudding is solid although I wished it had slightly more sauce. The brownie with toffee chips also good but it looked a little malformed and I mention because it is apparent that food presentation matters here. Slightly more ice cream would go better with the size of the brownie. Service was good and friendly. Beer options were plentiful and great deals during the event. Overall, a better experience than my 2* visit last time and I believe this establishment genuinely wants to be better. The owner even posted a video! This place is more than a pub, so I set my expectations accordingly.

We’ve not had great luck with this place. It’s ok and we like that they have a patio bar; but, their booze selection always seems slim. Every time we come they seem to be out of something major like vodka or bourbon. On the good side, the staff is always super friendly and my little dog is always welcome on the patio. We’ve only eaten here once and it wasn’t awful but it wasn’t really good either. We’ll definitely visit again because we really do like the patio bar but I think we will stick to beverages. It is a good place to just hang out outside on a nice evening.

It’s ok. It’s a standard fare boring traditional«Irish» pub. They have Guinness. They play«Celtic» music. They paint the walls green and have pictures of bucolic pastoral Irish scenery. Been there, in every city, in every time period of my life. Nothing new. Good service and clean facilities. I would not dissuade folks from the experience if they wanted the«Irish» thing.

Went online to view their menu to place an order. Called to place the order to find out that there is a additional $ 2 – 3 price increase per menu item in taking out food which is not stated online anywhere.(no big deal, just make sure people know that and it’s stated somewhere) found out because my total was a bit more than common sense math. When I decided to cancel my take order after finding out about the price increase and they were out of 2 of the 4 things I ordered, the person who took the order said«Really!“hung up on me. I called back to speak to a manger to get clarification of the price increase and to grasp understanding of the person hanging up on me. After talking to matt who claimed to be the manger, I seem to get nowhere because he was indeed the manager who also hung up on me. For someone who has never eaten here that is pretty poor customer service. For riverside we already struggle with the lack of delivery and restaurants. The last thing we want it to not go to a local restaurant because the mangers lack the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Seriously one of the best local spots! Great people. Great drinks. Great food. Great service. We had spinach dip and the Irish nachos… so good we decided to stay and have dinner! The manager introduced himself to us and was extremely kind. Local, chill, relaxed atmosphere! Love that the waitstaff continuously walks by and anyone will take your order or get whatever you need. Everyone works together!

Everything you expect of a local pub. The vibe is fun, bartenders are friendly & on point and the food is delicious. I ordered the«Irish fries» and fell in beer belly love. Nothing matches a killer whale better than a big pile of wedged fries topped with cheese, bacon, sour cream — and I’m sure something else but I had beer goggles on. Definitely recommend to share a brewksi & some hardy bites with a friend.

Didn’t eat any of the food. Menu had your traditional Irish dishes. The bartender was attentive and had a great smile. The most important thing, the Duke’s Cold Nose Brown Ale was cold and very tasty. *Update* A group of work buddies, 30 of them, where in town a few weeks back in April and happened to go in at 11:00 a.m. on a Friday. Apparently, this was the first day O’Brothers had opened for lunch at 11:00 a.m. My coworkers were thoroughly impressed with the staff and how they handled such a large group. They also happened to mentioned how they loved the food and drinks.

The atmosphere is chill. We walked up to the outside bar and was serviced quickly. I ordered a Sex on the Beach… Don’t ask why, I just had to think of something since they didn’t have ameretto for my Ameretto Sour. Drink was a 1 out if 5. I will try this place out again in hopes of a better review for drinks and food.

This place RULES! Where else can you sit outside surrounded by super awesome random local people who strike up light conversation with total strangers and get friendly, efficient service from a bartender who is really cool? Where, I ask, can you get served rounds of cold beer for a ridiculously low price without having to drive too far and is smoker friendly(cigars and cigarettes) without any pretension at all?!! This place: O’Brothers Irish Pub! And although I haven’t eaten here yet, I heard the food is really good. There is plenty of seating inside with two levels for large groups. And many people having dinner out on the patio. Again, we went for some beers and nothing else, but we left feeling really good about our choice to make a spontaneous visit to this local pub. Definitely worth checking out the vibe: VERYLOWKEY! This may be our new favorite place! 5STARS

My daughter had her pick of restaurants for her 14th birthday last night and she decided to choose O’Brother’s, thanks to their website’s online menu and Unilocal. It’s located in 5 Points, so finding parking can be a pain. We found a spot and parked only a block away; it was still pretty early in the evening. We chose to sit inside. I have nothing against smokers, but not while I’m eating. The amount of beers available was quite low, due to St. Patrick’s Day being earlier in the week. The waitress was apologetic, but we didn’t mind since they still had a few local(and imported) on tap. I had an Intuition Peoples Pale Ale(it isn’t all that pale LOL) which went quite well with my food. My husband had a Bold City Killer Whale, which was good, but he switched to Harp’s which went a lot better with his meal. We started off with the obligatory Scotch Egg(absolutely delicious) and the Irish Nachos(silly, but fun and tasty). I would definitely order the Scotch Egg again. The mustard sauce it sat in was OK, I would have been happy with it plain. My daughter and husband seemed to really enjoy it though. For the entrees, my daughter had the Guinness Mac & Cheese. To say she was pleased with it would be an understatement. It was creamy & cheesy, with a hit of smokiness, topped with roasted tomatoes and bacon. It is definitely making the«will order again» list. My husband had the Breakfast Burger, which is a regular cheeseburger with a fried egg and bacon on top. He enjoyed it, but was rather underwhelmed by the trend of adding an egg to burgers. The chips on the side(«steak fries») were cooked perfectly. I ordered the lamb burger, and it was cooked to a perfect medium. It had a Stilton cheese crust which was a lovely sharp compliment to the mild lamb. I ordered the mashed potatoes as a side dish — they were very good, but I would try something else next time.(They tasted too much like the mashed potatoes I make at home. LOL) I highly recommend the lamb burger, it really was quite enjoyable and in my opinion, worth every penny($ 12.95). For dessert, we ordered the double chocolate brownie(just one). It came on a plate covered in chocolate sauce stripes and topped with toffee bits, vanilla ice cream and a cherry. It was delicious, and honestly way too much for even 3 people to share. Even 3 people who only ate ½ their dinners, saving the rest for later. Maybe the right size for 5 or 6 people? LOL I’m not sure who our wait staff actually was — we were served, and taken care of, by two waitresses and the bartender. They were all nice and helpful and we didn’t feel neglected sitting inside almost by ourselves(it did fill up fast as the evening went on). As for the décor, it was clean but worn, giving the feel that it has been in 5 Points for a lot longer than you would realize. We didn’t check out the bathrooms, but did have a good view of the kitchen which looked quite clean and the chef/cooks seemed quite efficient.

My husband and I have been here a handful of times and I’ve always enjoyed it. Last night we stopped in for a drink or too during happy hour and a quick bite to eat… We split the Irish nachos with corn beef and they were delicious, but next time I’d ask for no sour cream and a side of thousand island dressing, that would really make them perfect. All in all, O’Brothers is a cool place to go in and hang out, enjoy some pretty good food and decent priced drinks. We’ll keep stopping in whenever we are in the area, that’s for sure!
