We had a great time here last night, and it was all due to the great staff working at this pub.
We were in town on business, and about 10 of us came in around 10pm, when they were obviously winding down on a Wednesday night. They kept the bar open, poured us some great whiskey and beers, and just showed great hospitality. The women even bought some bartender calendar and thought that was great.
Great staff at this place, they make this place excellent.

This place does it right.
It had a cozy feel to it. Very rigid with wood beams and brick walls. Lots of seating options from private high back booths… to a large bar area. and outside seating by the river.
The staff is friendly and efficient. Check out their calandar for some interesting photos of the men who work there.
The food here is amazingly good. On our long weekend in Jax we came here 3 times. We had their homemade beef stew… homemade boxie chips with a cheese dip and the scotch egg with a grainy mustard sauce.
It was all delicious. unique and house made.
They made sure to put the Chelsea game on for us as well.
I would highly recommend this gem of a place

We have been here twice and both times the food has been good and the service excellent. I honestly think that the place needs a good scrubbing but it might be the «Irish pub theme» IDK. Their Kettle chip nachos are really good. The first time I had their fish and chips for entrée but it was a huge portion and honestly too greasy for me. This time I had the corn beef boxty and it was amazing. Their kid’s Mac N Cheese is a good portion and delicious. Leave room for dessert, they make an awesome brownie with Guinness ice cream. it’s to die for!!!

I have been wanting to go to an Irish pub for a while and I’m glad I found this place! We visited during lunch on Sunday and it was pretty calm with no wait. We were sat promptly and served very quickly. The Staff was very kind. I ordered the bangers and mash while my husband ordered the ribeye. Everything tasted amazing and was piping hot! I can’t wait to go back and try something different!

Now this place feels like an Irish Pub.
Waterfront location with a great view to top it off.
Great beer selection with many Irish brews on tap.
Service was wonderful with friendly visits to make sure your glass isn’t empty too long.
Fish and chips was comparable to what I enjoyed in the UK a couple years ago.
A few more «chips» would of been better I thought but what was there was plenty for me.
Lot of competition in The Landing marketplace but they had a good lunchtime crowd building up by noon.
Overall, it was a great experience.

We’ve had many positive experiences at this restaurant. The food is awesome, the drinks are great and it has a fun atmosphere.
Our server is usually Justin and he’s great. Today, we had Ashley, she was so fun and provided us with awesome service.
I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone that wants to have a fun time.

If you’re looking for a delicious sheppard’s pie or fish & chips this is the place, can’t eat like that all time but every now & then we have to have our fix! They also have tasty nachos. However service is hit & miss and make sure you have the time to wait for your food at lunch as it can take longer than expected.

My husband and I shared a steak they kindly split it for us. Was medium rare and very good though my husband felt the cut having too much fat which he mentioned to tell the chef. There was a great deal left on his plate of proof.
We were with a party of 5 and did enjoy the food drinks and no wait to be seated.
I don’t recall our waitress name but was attentive and friendly.

The food and our waitress were pretty good… the person that checked us in was not. She had a bad attitude and when you start out bad like that, it’s tough for me to recover. It was easter weekend and they were fairly dead. The whole Jacksonville Landing is somewhat disappointing from a restaurant perspective, but this was «ok». I wouldn’t seek it out, but if you happen to be staying in that area, it’s worthwhile.

We went here for St Patrick Day festivities and got them! Arrived around 6ish and it was packed; luckily they had tents in the side patio and the nicest portalet I had ever seem-​2 glass sink bowls and wooden stalls with doors for privacy… kept the beer flowing. We ordered (besides beer) a scotch egg-​delicious and fish and chips. The sausage wrapped crisp, hard boiled egg and sauce was huge and tasty; the cod fish was a large and crisp… perfect choice. The wait staff was busy but tried hard to keep up with orders. We sat with strangers but soon made casual friends. The music was authentic with fiddles and bagpipes. Everyone appeared to be having a great time and we look forward to coming again to this Irish pub!

I LOVE this place! I came here with a friend. Little tip park behind the MOSH and walk over the bridge if it’s a night! The atmosphere is very relaxed. The bartenders were excellent and extremely friendly! They had live music on Friday. He was great! The walk back to the car was lovely which is why I recommend walking the bridge! I had a few beers. They do not have budlight on draft just a heads up if you like BL. I had a blue moon with an orange it was fresh. My friend had Guinness with 2 shots of Jameson… It was good! Mix the two together. I think it tastes like black coffee. I want to come back and try it with a little cream liquor of some kind. Very good drink! I have not had food so I will update when I eat here! Great place lots of fun!

The fish and chips is very good if you’re a fried seafood fan. They also serve it with fries and a side of green peas. I will be eating here again soon. I almost forgot. My server was really nice and helpful. Another great dining experience.

This was my second time at Fionn Maccool’s and it is still pretty underwhelming. It is the only place worth going at the Landing, but it still isn’t anything special. The main redeeming quality is the great view of the river and the bridge, as well as an extensive beer and whiskey menu.
The food is solid, albeit I’ve only eaten bar bites like boxty chips and wings. The boxty chips are really unique in the way they’re prepared but don’t really taste different a pita chip or a potato chip.
The main thing that sucks about Fionn Maccool’s is the service — it has been ridiculously slow both times I’ve been. Like, 60 minutes in between checking on us bad when the restaurant was dead. Bad enough that we decided to cancel our next round and go elsewhere. Now I can officially say there is zero reason to visit the Landing.

Cool little place in Jacksonville. I was in town for a conference and lots of people recommended this place for dinner and drinks since it was so close to the hotel.
Lots of good traditional Irish food with seating in the back, at the bar or inside. The service was pretty good and overall had a great dining experience here.
