Java Junction

There are several Java Junction locations in Jacksonville, but this review is for the Java Junction in the Omni Hotel (245 Water Street). This is a small shop in the lovely atrium of the Omni Hotel. A very pleasant setting.
The expresso Lattes that I have had there have all been very good, although the milk was steamed to the almost to hot point most of the time. The food however, makes up in spades for this minor complaint. The owner makes homemade specialities. Try the bacon and scallion cream cheese spread on a bagel! Delicious. I also liked her chicken salad on a croissant.
For a kiosk, it doesn’t get much better than this. The seating area is in the atrium lobby, so there is generally adequate seating (albeit without a large amount of privacy),

This place has the best blueberry scones by far!
There is also a great selection of smoothies and flavored coffees.
Everything here is fresher tasting and not as expensive as Starbucks.
